The longer he sat on the bike the younger he looked. The smiles said it all. Well done, and props to its caretakers overseas that it survived that many years.
I would love to see him on the back of a bike, one more ride. Knowing it would be to much for him, I would still love to see him do a ride on his old bike.I am sure he wishes the same thing. It was so nice to see the big smile while he twisted the throttle. Once a biker, always a biker.
I'd bet they could rig something up to let him go a short distance safely. Sort of like it's on tracks, rails to keep it upright and going straight so it can't fall or turn. Might still be too reckless to try but it would be sweet.
@japwrap F the sidecar. I'd reckon it be worth a ride even if he breaks the bike a bit..... as long as he doesn't get injured. If I was him at his age, I may just ride it even if I thought I might crash it a bit.
Only a Canadian can get give a smile and a chuckle out of being called an Ol' Bastard! Cheers to our friends to the north. Love your country and your people.
What an absolutely beautiful video. God bless Grandad and the whole Zandbelt family. I watched your other video where you presented the bike back to Grandad Zandbelt. Tears of happiness for you all.
all through the years for sure he never thought this could - or even would - happen ! . . . getting back his old love . . . . . . being recruted and becoming member of a riding brotherhood . . . this is the best medicine he could ever get. I hope he has many more years to enjoy all that er hat es sich verdient ! und ja, je länger er auf der Maschine sitzt, umso jünger wirkt er :-)
Muchas gracias por compartir esta linda historia en este video y el anterior, saludos a tu abuelo de otro motoquero desde el fin del mundo Chile. Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful story in this video and the previous one, greetings to your grandfather from another motorcycle rider, from the end of the world, Chile
his walk has a pep in the step.. even if its only in his minds eye down some old two lane memory lane backroad... the freedom he feels reunited with ,, gives him fellowship amongst his fellow bikers....past present and future.. great job all envolved..... hip hip hooray..
bro your last video brought tears in my eyes and i was just wondering what a great you have for your dad. i hope and wish i can same love to my dad like you :) hats off brother.. respect from bangladesh
Loved the video's of this present!!!! My grandfather had the same bike and i hope to find one like this too. Just to make a circle round again. Love and respect for you all. Grt from Holland!
والله الا جاتني البكية. واتمنى ندير بحال هكا لوالدي. I was emotional, thank you for what you did with your lovely dad. Please ,tell me how did you restore the pictures , if I can do it to my dad pictures. Thanks 🇲🇦👍❤
I remember an art teacher in junior high school driving a DKW car. Two strke v- twin sitting out on the front of the car. Grill work was behind the motor. Only seen that one car.
Wow how Cool was that :) How can I get a old Bastards Pin and Patch. I am 57 yrs old and I have been riding since I was a kid. Started with dirt bikes but have always road street bikes since 18yrs old What I would give to get reunited with my first Harley. It was a 1968 900 xl Harley Davidson:)
Very moving story! But I don't think the old bike was restored to that condition. There was hardly any metal left on the old one to "restore". I think the "restored" bike came from a factory warehouse where it was preserved properly and sent to Canada to please the old man. Anyway, very nice gesture indeed!
What a great day voor Wim to get a lifetime membership of this bike club, love to see him smile. All the best for you and the Zandbelt family, groetjes uit Nederland! Did you see the Dutch coverage of the story? ruclips.net/video/uowRNCzE2sw/видео.html
The power of the motorcycle!
Doesn't get better
Motorcycle is freedom 🥰
The longer he sat on the bike the younger he looked. The smiles said it all. Well done, and props to its caretakers overseas that it survived that many years.
god bless you old bastard.............
Motorcycle is just not a vehicle, it’s an emotion
And this is why I love motorcycles, particularly old ones... and motorcycle people.

One of them should have taken him in a side car for a ride indeed.
