NJ said they needed her to be able to exist as NJ. So Hybe is offering what NJ needed. NJ cant afford to terminate their contract. They dont have the funds. The offer is what is best for NJ… so it shows Hybe is considerate. If mhj doesnt want it then she really doesnt care abt NJ.

The Hybe offer is very clever. Give her a high position - being on the ador board but take her out of having any managerial role. As a member of the board she will always be out voted. Her contracts are complex and not easy for Hybe to get out of completely but they can neutralise her while she finishes off her contract. It’s a clever offer in my opinion.
Hybe should keep her away. Always remember a leopard never change it's spots. Hybe such a big international organisation, the management and shareholders would not wish to see a disaster to erupt inHybe which took them a decade to build. NJ is so ignorant to be in the organisation.

I agree. You can put her on the board, but she'll always be outnumbered/outvoted. She'd also be kept underwraps and monitored, basically be just another employee who's subject to board reviews and job evaluations on the reg. But because she's greedy and only cares about the money, she predictably turned it down.

Hybe don't want MHJ to interfere with management of the label, as she isn't a trustworthy person. It's better to not have access to the label internal papers and financial statements.

You guys know nothing. One example, dr dre had a contract with ruthless records when he was part of NWA. One of the biggest rap groups of that time that created the path for what hip hop and rap are today. He ended up leaving ruthless and going to another label. A reasonable deal was worked out. I will try and take the higher road and think about the things you suggested. It's going to take me a bit to accept this news. Having a snake in the grass like her back at Hybe is upsetting, it makes my stomach hurt. I understand the concept of keeping your enemies close but there's also a feeling of someone as toxic as minheejin infecting everything around her and destroying Hybe, but mostly BTS. That's what she wants to do. I also feel like it sets a bad precedence to basically give in to the demands of NJ who were so disrespectful during their last video. Many fans seem to be forgetting that aside from BTS being the undisputed top earner of Hybe, SVT and Enhypen should be recognised as their 2nd and 3rd respectively.

A little voice tells us when we do something wrong... our conscience. Arguing that they were brainwashed completely removes their responsibility for their manners, their conduct and their decisions, not only towards their employers, but towards other artists and their peers. I remember a famous case, Steven Stainer, a little boy who was kidnapped at age 7 and abused by another 7 years... his abuser convinced him that his parents had given him his custody and no longer wanted him, all to keep him under control. At age 14 he helped another 6 year old victim to escape, because he knew what the child would be experiencing. These little women are far beyond that age, almost all of them in their adult years.
The thing is that kid was being abused, here the girls weren’t, probaly, MHJ like a good manipulator was nice with them, make them think they're entitled to have everything that only she can give them that. There's many cases where teenagers where groomed, they believe the adult think he/she can do no wrong, cares for them, gives them what their parents don't, so they follow them and do everything they want, they even start to think like them and everyone in wrong and don't understand them. MHJ knew them very young and molded their minds the way she wanted, that's the reason they're defending her a lot, they don't care if others are hurt because they're right. They're not that innocents because they're arrogant and rude, they must bare the consequences of their actions.
Watching your live & hearing you repeat some of the comments about this book 'Ocean' no one mentioned about the sheer hate Jimin has received since 2015 because of Taekook. The first d***h threat I saw was from a TK shipper & now the hate has reached his family. These shippers were the ones responsible for Jimin's father removing the majority of Jimin from his cafe, his mother received threats too. Jimin has always played the part of "homewrecker" in these fics & now a huge portion of TK shippers actually believe this. Not only that but they accuse him of SA, bullying & even p***philia all because of a friendship with JK. Shipping used to be cute when I first joined kpop but now there is a huge problem & it is extremely toxic. The fact that this author used Jimin the way he is portrayed by TK shippers is what the problem is. I have never read any fanfic myself & especially would not a ship fic as I do not want to have those images in my head but she has portrayed Jimin exactly the way TK shippers sees him. She has given them more ammunition & it definitely needs to be removed regardless of whether the names have changed. It was originally a TK fic & the readers still see it as a TK fic in hardback. They did not delete the fic either, they just archived it & now a lot of ARMY are trying to protect the author over Jimin's portrayal & name. There's also ARMY that are mad too & rightfully so but there are a lot of ARMY that are TK shippers & you yourself follow them on twitter. Fics have been around for years & are so normalised but taking it to book level it becomes a way for just regular readers to be introduced into a delusional world of over the top shipping where toxicity thrives. It most definitely needs reporting to the company.
I don't know what book you're referring to. I've been an Army for many years and it took me a long time to understand what "shipping" in Kpop is. I'm from Europe and I don't know such things. But the first thing I encountered was the Jikookers' overwhelming hatred of Taehyung. Also the abuse of the affair with his grandmother and other horrible things. I did listen to NJ here and there but never really compelled to stream or buy. But all the drama aside, I will only support artists I enjoy and relate to. Regarding fanfic and that fanfic platform…in China, there was an idol/actor that was the center of a BL type novel and his fans took offense w it and a fan war started. It got so bad that netizens started saying the celebrity needed to control his fans; even tho he was unaware of the fanfic or what was going on. It was so bad he lost sponsorships and work for like 2 years. AND NONE OF IT WAS HIS FAULT OR RESPONSIBILITY but netizens didn’t care. I do not know if SK fans/netizens are as controlling as Chinese celebrity culture but it had to be very hard for that young man who was at the top and suddenly facing backlash/fallout for things he didn’t even do. Shippers and fanfic ppl don’t think about how it could affect the artists who are just ppl who do their work very publicly. How would they feel if ppl did that to them and everyone believed it was truth and not just someone’s fantasy.
HYBE's offer to MHJ is an unsurprising strategic move. They are dotting all the i's and crossing all the t's in preparation for future litigation. They are proceeding methodically and professionally, looking after the best interests of the companies, artists, and shareholders. HYBE and ADOR have the fiduciary responsibility to ensure information about their artists, in this case, NewJeans, is correct. MHJ's press releases and frivolous claims are getting old and will have no effect. She will ultimately fall on her own sword.

Hi I have watched every episode of your cover of this issue. I appreciate you are trying to be fair but as a 68 yo with 3 children, I have to dispute that all the girls are too young to know better. If you think they have been brain washed and will now continue to work with MHJ for the next 5 years- there isn’t any hope for change. I think HYBE management knew that MHJ will not accept the offer, to work with NJ if she isn't the CEO of ADORE. Cos that way, MHJ will not be credited with the group accomplishes. The contract clauses are the same for all the employees, so that was the wave in a glass of water. Also MHJ cannot sue HYBE/ADORE for firing her without a reason, they took down her 3 remaining years from her CEO contract, but ADORE offer was for 5 years, to work with NJ. That's why MHJ is suing HYBE to put her back as a CEO. Another smart movement was to have a meeting regarding MHJ (NJ demands), in the morning of 25, to ''try to solve their requests'', and to cut all the reasons that NJ, Bunnies, and MHJ fans can use to accuse ADORE and HYBE for not carrying and listening their anxious idols. The fact that nothing changed as before as the end of August, that's about the company management.
I guess in this Hybe is really smart. It's a between rock & hard places for MHJ at this moment. With this move some fans that still can't decide can clearly see that MHJ doesn't care about working with Newjeans bcz she take the offer of directorship but if Hybe & Ador wants her to continue to produce Newjeans then they have to give her the CEO position back. Once again & now so blatanly displayed that Newjeans was being used by her as a leverage, as a shield to get what she wants & if fans still cannot see that with this recent news then they're so incredibly blind. But she refused to continue working with NewJeans if they didn't give her the CEO position back. & Hybe can also use this as leverage in their upcoming lawsuit against MHJ (currently still in investigation process) that they already give her an option to be a creative director for Newjeans & compromise with her but she refused. It also can be a proof in court that MHJ wants power & control, which she adamantly deny at the beginning of this mess & only claim to care about making art. With this she can't claim to only "wants to making art" bcz Hybe already give her the option to do so. So again, her claim once again proved false.

The Hybe offer is very clever. Give her a high position - being on the ador board but take her out of having any managerial role. As a member of the board she will always be out voted. Her contracts are complex and not easy for Hybe to get out of completely but they can neutralise her while she finishes off her contract. It’s a clever offer in my opinion.
Hybe should keep her away. Always remember a leopard never change it's spots. Hybe such a big international organisation, the management and shareholders would not wish to see a disaster to erupt inHybe which took them a decade to build. NJ is so ignorant to be in the organisation.

I will try and take the higher road and think about the things you suggested. It's going to take me a bit to accept this news. Having a snake in the grass like her back at Hybe is upsetting, it makes my stomach hurt. I understand the concept of keeping your enemies close but there's also a feeling of someone as toxic as minheejin infecting everything around her and destroying Hybe, but mostly BTS. I remember a famous case, Steven Stainer, a little boy who was kidnapped at age 7 and abused by another 7 years... his abuser convinced him that his parents had given him his custody and no longer wanted him, all to keep him under control. At age 14 he helped another 6 year old victim to escape, because he knew what the child would be experiencing.
These little women are far beyond that age, almost all of them in their adult years.

Watching your live & hearing you repeat some of the comments about this book 'Ocean' no one mentioned about the sheer hate Jimin has received since 2015 because of Taekook.
The first d***h threat I saw was from a TK shipper & now the hate has reached his family.

She has given them more ammunition & it definitely needs to be removed regardless of whether the names have changed. It was originally a TK fic & the readers still see it as a TK fic in hardback.
They did not delete the fic either, they just archived it & now a lot of ARMY are trying to protect the author over Jimin's portrayal & name. There's also ARMY that are mad too & rightfully so but there are a lot of ARMY that are TK shippers & you yourself follow them on twitter.
Fics have been around for years & are so normalised but taking it to book level it becomes a way for just regular readers to be introduced into a delusional world of over the top shipping where toxicity thrives.

I don't know what book you're referring to. I've been an Army for many years and it took me a long time to understand what "shipping" in Kpop is. I'm from Europe and I don't know such things. But the first thing I encountered was the Jikookers' overwhelming hatred of Taehyung. Also the abuse of the affair with his grandmother and other horrible things. Yes I will agree that over the last year Tae has been jumped on by Jikook shippers & it's disgusting.
I have been with BTS since the very beginning, made my first fan account for them only & I remember in 2013 when Taekook were the most popular members. I even liked a post made back then by a fan who said "What shall we call them, Taekook" There were very few Jikook shippers back then but there was some. It wasn't serious, just fun & cute but it did start getting toxic in 2015 when TK shippers threatened Jimin's mum & he himself. It was 2017 when it started getting really seriously bad for Jimin, a shipper called Taekook lives created their first video a few days after Jimin & JK went to Tokyo & since then the channel painted Jimin in a bad light. They never called him names but they used him as the thorn between TK. Even on their stage performances, it was Jimin that was making Tae jealous, it was Jimin that was going too far with fan service, it was Jimin the company was using to push a company made ship to hide a real ship & then TK shippers actually started to believe this. They blamed Jimin for TK not interacting, if TK wasn't giving what TK shippers wanted it was because of Jimin. Since then the hate for Jimin has grown & grown to the point where hashtags calling him a p3do trended, he was accused of having s3x with Bang PD for gains, d3ath threats every other day, Twitter & RUclips accounts now with 300k 80k 500k all blaming Jimin for the lack of TK content.
TK shippers cancelling their orders of Memories, the book, refusing to watch certain things & even now taking to writing negative reviews about their show Are You Sure. There are millions of TK shippers when there are just thousands of Jikook shippers.

Regarding fanfic and that fanfic platform…in China, there was an idol/actor that was the center of a BL type novel and his fans took offense w it and a fan war started. It got so bad that netizens started saying the celebrity needed to control his fans; even tho he was unaware of the fanfic or what was going on. It was so bad he lost sponsorships and work for like 2 years. AND NONE OF IT WAS HIS FAULT OR RESPONSIBILITY but netizens didn’t care. I do not know if SK fans/netizens are as controlling as Chinese celebrity culture but it had to be very hard for that young man who was at the top and suddenly facing backlash/fallout for things he didn’t even do.

I think HYBE management knew that MHJ will not accept the offer, to work with NJ if she isn't the CEO of ADORE. Cos that way, MHJ will not be credited with the group accomplishes. The contract clauses are the same for all the employees, so that was the wave in a glass of water. Also MHJ cannot sue HYBE/ADORE for firing her without a reason, they took down her 3 remaining years from her CEO contract, but ADORE offer was for 5 years, to work with NJ.
That's why MHJ is suing HYBE to put her back as a CEO.
Another smart movement was to have a meeting regarding MHJ (NJ demands), in the morning of 25, to ''try to solve their requests'', and to cut all the reasons that NJ, Bunnies, and MHJ fans can use to accuse ADORE and HYBE for not carrying and listening their anxious idols.
The fact that nothing changed as before as the end of August, that's about the company management.
I guess in this Hybe is really smart.
It's a between rock & hard places for MHJ at this moment.
With this move some fans that still can't decide can clearly see that MHJ doesn't care about working with Newjeans bcz she take the offer of directorship but if Hybe & Ador wants her to continue to produce Newjeans then they have to give her the CEO position back. It also can be a proof in court that MHJ wants power & control, which she adamantly deny at the beginning of this mess & only claim to care about making art. With this she can't claim to only "wants to making art" bcz Hybe already give her the option to do so. So again, her claim once again proved false.

Well… As a person who has a professional degree in psychology, I would rather recommend to read Everett L. Shostrom “Anti-Carnegie or human manipulator” book. It would give a better perspective on how NOT to be manipulated by people who uses you by using “Carnegie’s techniques” to achieve their personal goals. They may think they will have it better in another company, that's why MhJ needs to be CEO so bad, to dismiss contracts. If they are dismissed without paying out, they can go to another company that may have been patroned by MHJ to them..
