For me, Its a tie between Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz and Harvey Dent aka Two-Face. Both of their backstory's are FUCKED UP, where you have Harvey having split personality disorder & difficulties making any discissions thanks to his abusive father & after his freak accident that turned him into Two-Face, and then you have Doof's FUCKED UP CHILDHOOD AS A WHOLE!!!
Doof eventually gets right, though, whereas Dent realizes his childhood trauma was a rigged game of abuse (rather than just mostly neglect) from the start, actually went to therapy to try and fix the issues that spawned from it, but then got blown up, which was part of why the therapy efforts failed. Dent and Doof are 1 and 2, but I think there's a gap.

And their relationship is not bad at all. They just don't live together. They are still wife and husband. He also have Perry as a close friend to the point they become a comedy duo
Why is Mike on this list?? As much as I like the dude, Who felt bad for him again?? If I'm correct, him having alt personalities actually helped him in a few ways.
Well technically he had multiple personalities disorder that he was probably being judged his entire life until mal came into the picture Mike was basically like to face because he had different personalities disorder and mal basically the dark part like Harvey
I felt more bad for the video game nerd. Then again they put Sunset Shimmer on this list, who, in terms of sympathetic characters in MLP is the LEAST sympathetic and the most one-note. Hell she’s barely even canon.
Mike has D.I.D or MPD (past name), it's also classified as a disability because of how much it affects your day to day life. It comes from childhood trauma and abuse, It's your brain's self defense mechanism for any traumatic or everyday thing can trigger a switch. Every alter/headmate/personality has a role and their triggers; some come from particular traumatic events and some don't. But it's a fandoms belief that Mal and Vito came from the former circumstances. And when you think about what Vito trigger is (removal of shirt) and think for abit why a child would feel unsafe removing a shirt you'll realize that Mike's childhood was fucked. But it's a kid show so obviously they wouldn't go into that but they did decide to use a serious psychological disorder so I don't know what they expect to happen. To not do research?
I feel bad for Squidward and he’s one of my favorite SpongeBob characters of all time but I also don’t feel bad for him at the same time he enjoys SpongeBob and Patrick to where when he moved away he moved back because he missed them he just needs peace sometimes which everyone does so he’s not the most tragic on that list
Harvey is so sad because he has moments when he takes control and tries to stop what he was doing but never can before "big bad harv" takes over once again
I feel bad for him even in the animated show I remember the same person that still has hope for him is Bruce for when in one of the episodes Bruce made him feel better by walking with him to Arkham after a fight to reassure him that he still has friends
I find it funny that people think Classic watches MLP. I mean he might, but considering his personality and affinity for more mature pieces of media, I doubt it.

At least Dr.Doof can still live a happy life with a daughter and took no dark physical abuse or too great of mental trauma. He's just a little devious.
Very good list. Those 3 definitely deserve some Sympathy while Timmy can go cry his ass back in a corner. He stays depressed so he can have fairy’s that do whatever he wants
I feel bad for doof for sure. Imagine gour parents not showing up to your own birth, your best friend being a balloon, your ass constantly being beat by a damn platypus, (albeit Perry is a badass) and to top it all off....he needs a new barber
Imagine feeling bad for Timmy, the guy who consistently makes wishes that screw over other people that he usually only unwishes because it negatively affects him. Not to mention the time bullshit he pulled to not have to give up his fairies

But it's another thing to be given the power to literally rewrite reality and make an entire planets population disappear JUST SO YOUR CRUSH HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO BE WITH YOU!!!!!" In other types of franchises/media, that kind of power along with Timmys immaturity would classify him as an *absolute monster* Type-Green headed ass.
Doof had so much crap happen and he still manages to be a somewhat decent person. He’s clearly good at heart but he doesn’t get any good attention from anybody except his literal nemesis.
Two face is still breaking too. He had the judge personality in the animated series which was him trying to punish himself and those who helped him commit crime

Damn, Bruce Banner and Harvey Dent have a lot in common then. They were abused by their parents, which resulted in destructive alternate personalities that ended up becoming supervillains.
For me It’s my boi Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. Every episode of P&F he somehow has a new depressing backstory about how awful his life was growing up. And they always sound so far fetched, like his father turning him into a lawn gnome, or that for a brief time he was raised by ocelots, or that both his parents didn’t even attend his birth. It’s nothing short of a miracle that Doofenshmirtz is remotely sane. He could have easily become a Batman level villain had he not been able to cope with his awful parents.

He became successful later on only to have a bad accident mess up his whole life for good now he’s just a broken man living either a life of crime or in an insane asylum.
I can’t feel bad for Timmy
Why not? He's a child that feels he literally can't function or grow up in life without his fairy godparents because they are the only ones that shoe him any love or affection in his life. He views them as family, and while sure, he's annoying and makes bad decisions. He's also a child. A child who has to deal with parents who are neglectful, a babysitter who abuses him, friends who don't really care, a teacher who has it out for him, and more.
You don't feel bad for him because *checks notes* he's annoying and overbearing at times? If you say so.
skibidi toilet s better!
Yo I know skibidi toilet is becoming fire but no it's not better
he has his fairies
@@sincerelynotme3522I feel bad for Timmy but tbf, a lot of his wishes cause worldwide chaos for everyone. Remember that time he wished everyone wouldn't be able to sleep? Or that they could only eat dessert? And that secret wish one where they all couldn't age? He's a well-meaning kid but he's done far more than just being annoying
Having Harvey's dad give him a pointless ass-whooping due to probability is something out of a horror movie man 💀
And it was the double headed coin. The game was rigged from the start. 💀
Harvey has the saddest current life while doof has the saddest backstory
Donald Duck is a war veteran with PTSD, that's why he always lashes out in anger all the time
Harvey Two-Face. Saddest backstory of the whole lot.
*Dr. Freeze has left the chat*
@@travisalexander6440 yeah despite the horrible childhood, Doof's life after that is not that bad. I mean he's dumped for around two time one was when he was dating Linda and he had fucked the date up and the second time is because of that goddamn whale until he is with Vanessa's mom. And their relationship is not bad at all. They just don't live together. They are still wife and husband. He also have Perry as a close friend to the point they become a comedy duo
It's Moe Syzlak for me the dude has gotten a bad hand at life, tried to take his life multiple times but overall he's a pretty kind guy.
Why is Mike on this list?? As much as I like the dude, Who felt bad for him again?? If I'm correct, him having alt personalities actually helped him in a few ways.
The hardest thing he's got going for him is how much people hate him from All Stars lol

Sunset Shimmer, hands down, but PURELY because of the Anon-a-miss comic.
OK, if I end up regretting googling this, I will blame you.
@@falsebeliever8079 it's sad, but well written, and will make you want to backhand some people.
@@falsebeliever8079so....did you?
Harvey is so sad because he has moments when he takes control and tries to stop what he was doing but never can before "big bad harv" takes over once again
Moe Szyslak is like the poster child for disproportionate retribution ngl.
Anyone else think that was Adam Sandler in the thumbnail? 😅
Moe is the only one here who attempts suicide on multiple occasions
Definitely harvey. All these others on this list got a bright side to their sad events, but not harvey. He just sunk lower and lower into despair.
I feel bad for him even in the animated show I remember the same person that still has hope for him is Bruce for when in one of the episodes Bruce made him feel better by walking with him to Arkham after a fight to reassure him that he still has friends
The Slayer v. Goku
I find it funny that people think Classic watches MLP. I mean he might, but considering his personality and affinity for more mature pieces of media, I doubt it.
Heh, yea. And I have a feeling he would think Kirby is the same until he dives into the lore of it ngl (which I might plan on asking if there is a comparison or something)
Decided to give it a chance earlier this year. It's actually not that bad
@@jordannelson1910Out of curiosity, favorite character?
Yeah when I saw sunset there I was like “this girl thinks she’s on the team😂”
I saw the series too and she went through a cakewalk by comparison

"Good old Bruce, he's never given up on me"~Harvey Dent, Batman The Animated Series
At least Dr.Doof can still live a happy life with a daughter and took no dark physical abuse or too great of mental trauma. He's just a little devious.
Honestly Harv wins just for living in Gotham City.
Two-Face has the best character arc out of every Batman villain
Fax
Harvey is an example of why you don’t beat kids especially out of anger. Shit churns out little push is and depressed people.
I feel bad for all of them to different extents
All the others have good things going for them, two-face does not
you forget Squidward only had ONE truly good event happen for him that was the Super Bowl episode, everything after that, he never had a good time
@@lugismansion2400 as messed up as the things that happened to him are, he makes most of his own misery for himself
Squidward once met his own Voice Actor lol.
My list (most to least):
1. Doof
2. Harvey
3. Donald
4. Sunset
5. Moe
6. Squidward
7. Mike
8. Danny
9. Timmy
Very good list. Those 3 definitely deserve some
Sympathy while Timmy can go cry his ass back in a corner. He stays depressed so he can have fairy’s that do whatever he wants
Swuidward has it rough too honestly.
I can't really feel bad for Sunset, but I can relate to having anger issues.
TBH most of it was his parents for living Timmy with an evil babysitter
So much this.
It one thing to be dealt a bad hand in life.
But it's another thing to be given the power to literally rewrite reality and make an entire planets population disappear JUST SO YOUR CRUSH HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO BE WITH YOU!!!!!"
In other types of franchises/media, that kind of power along with Timmys immaturity would classify him as an *absolute monster*
Type-Green headed ass.
What makes two face sadder is that in most canon he still considers bruce his best friend.
This Harvey looks like Adam Sandler 😂
Doof had so much crap happen and he still manages to be a somewhat decent person. He’s clearly good at heart but he doesn’t get any good attention from anybody except his literal nemesis.
He deserved better 😢😡😡
Two face is still breaking too. He had the judge personality in the animated series which was him trying to punish himself and those who helped him commit crime
HES LITERALLY SO 🥺🥺🥺 BBG
Tv shows be 1% of what the real world is like
I don't really think i ever felt that bad for Sunlight Shimmer
You should read the Anon-a-Miss comic, plus the many fanfics of that story.
Doof is the king, the myth and the legend, guy suffered throughout his whole childhood and teenage years but is always positive and happy as well as goofy and a good parent later in his life
I feel bad for Aubrey Drake Graham. He ain’t even know he was a villain

🥈: Doof
🥉: Sunset Shimmer (don't ask me how I know)

Are we going to forget that Doof’s parents literally broke logic and didn’t even show up to he’s Birth💀
The show breaks logic all the time. Along with all the other characters from the other shows on this list.
I dont feel sorry for Doof because he managed to overcome his circumstances and win.
Dude has his own company(Incorporated) gets money from his ex wife. Doesn't need to work but still can decide his own working hours. Has friends and has a daughter who he loves and loves him back.
He also is on friendly terms with his wife.
I feel that most of batmans villians are technically not bad people but the way they try to achieve their goals are not just. Their mental snap drives them down a negative path in life and it makes me feel sorry for a lot of them
I don't know all these characters, but the farther down you go the worse I feel for them.
Meanwhile Mike who also has an evil personality plus 4 others
Honestly I feel sorry for all of them.
Squidward has to deal SpongeBob and Patrick on a daily basis
I feel bad for Doof because he was raised by ocelots and both of his parents failed to show up for his birth.
And we thank Batman TAS for that cuz they came up with this backstory, afaik. Along with Harvey being Bruce's good friend before the fall.
Damn, Bruce Banner and Harvey Dent have a lot in common then. They were abused by their parents, which resulted in destructive alternate personalities that ended up becoming supervillains.
Bruce Banner's alternate personality became a hero though
For me It’s my boi Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. Every episode of P&F he somehow has a new depressing backstory about how awful his life was growing up. And they always sound so far fetched, like his father turning him into a lawn gnome, or that for a brief time he was raised by ocelots, or that both his parents didn’t even attend his birth. Yet somehow almost always these stories turn out being true.
That version of harvey in my opinion had the best ark too it was just perfect
Harvey loves Bruce, one of his closest friends
It’s nothing short of a miracle that Doofenshmirtz is remotely sane. He could have easily become a Batman level villain had he not been able to cope with his awful parents.
I remember some scenes in the animated show where even after Harvey loses it he still believes that Bruce will always have his back.
Moe staring at the rope in his basement again after watching this video.
Man i feel bad for all of them
you know how miserable squidward? I have nothing but sympathy for this man
Now, for some reason I want Harvey Dent to get adopted by Dr. Doofensmhertz
Harvey from the animated series looks like Adam Sandler
It’s even sadder that not only Bruce lost his parents, his first love, he loses his best friend to his own darkness.
Btas had really sympathetic villains at times, heck, they reinvented Mr. Freeze and now he's one of the most heartbreaking villains
There is an alternate universe where Harvey Dent was a WW1 veteran, also in case you wonder, its called Gotham 1919-1939
He still sane because i think in the animated series when the surgens said to him that Bruce Wayne is paying for the surgery (idk if it was a surgery) he said "Bruce Wayne? Bruce was always a good friend..." I swear bro is as sad as Mr. Freeze 😢
