- Tamiko Jones - Can't Live Without Your Love Disco 1979 HQ Audio A beautiful track from a beautiful and gifted Lady...she was hot!...uploaded on 320 Kbps as my standard...I can hear the hiss of the master tape here...I hope you like it the same way I do...;-)
I remember when this came out in '79, it was such a blast. It was right at the height of when songs with crazy syndromes playing all over the place in them reallly took off and then were big hits too. (...think Rose Royce, Players Association, Mantus etc..). I was 19 & still a young man when I went to all the crazy discos where the best space disco tunes were playing. I had so much fun back then, I could write a movie about it all. I'm glad to say I thoroughly lived those happy disco years 'cos they were good and they were fun and they've left me with a happy heart all my life. Bring back the syndromes, that's what I say and I'm sure Tamiko would agree with me too!
I was right there, 19 as well and DISCO CRAZY! Yes, it was a blast!!!!
Nice one. Music has so much greatness
I was 20 wanting to hit all the discos in town
Can you imagine, in an alternate universe, The Lizzies coming back to HQ (their crib) turning this on and just chilling.
I was named after her 1975
My wonderful friend Errol Bonnick was the dance king for this ..late 70's.. Bless..he moved to London and was no more..HIV😥
I just heard this song tonight on sirius studio 54. Love it.
The year was 1979, (maybe 1980?). I was ten years old at the time.
After my dad had won a 'Tokyo Blackbird' clock radio in a card game, I took my parent’s Sharp SA-606-H stereo tuner from the kitchen (the Tokyo took its place) to my bedroom where I used to listen to music through my ‘Tandy 40’ headset.
Back then, here in Belgium independent radio stations, although illegal, were poppin’ up in every town. One of these radios was called 'Radio Maeva’. Every Friday night they would broadcast their 'Maeva’s drive in show’, live and direct from the venue.
One of these nights (that's another gem....by Billy Ocean 🙂), there was this song that really struck a chord in me. I didn’t understand a word of English at the time, so I used to sing along in gibberish: 'Che che ah waah ooh waah’
From then on I used to listen to every episode, hoping to hear it again, which happened more than a few times.
15 years later I finally learned it was Tamiko Jones: Can’t live without your love, then re-released on Beechwood’s Mastercuts compilations.
A true gem indeed. Thank you for posting
I only just discovered this banger this morning. It is a gem! Disco lives!
great song. grew up listening to this
bought this at the time and it still gets played regularily- stands the test of time and then some
This tune was so atmospheric through the PAs of certain clubs back in the day.
Discovered this jewel thanks to GTA 4
This IS deep in the archives! Woot Woot...

Can't help thinking of David Mancuso spinning it at the Loft. SO DAMN HOT!
Forever in my mind! 🙏🏻
A Paradise Garage Larry Levan classic!
Back then I worshipped going out to escape reality. In Denver, there were some gay clubs in 1979 that played this once in a while. Two places were Alfies and Cherry Mining Company. This track in particular I never knew who did it but I would remember "Can't Live Without Your Love". Recently, I started getting sentimental on disco but obscure tracks such as this. When I found it by chance here on RUclips. The track would play in my head all day and I would smile!
THAT WAS FUCKING AMAZING
Timeless piece...
First time I've heard this track - what a belter
Diz gruuw catches me completely off guard every time I hear it... purest dope shayt!!!🔥
Unique disco can't die
Still got my 12".

Yes, I remember "Im so in love with you by Mantus, Weekend by Phreek, Night Rider by Venus Dodson & Sylvester's You Make Me Feel Mighty Real & Daddy Dewdrop, The Real Thing
Wow, she has some very impressive…eye shadow ;)
Tremendous 70's theme! Only 417 visits, I just don't get it... I therefore understand why the world is just the way is.

This is DEEP Disco...just few of us know this...1200 visits I'm OK with that...LOL
Connoiseur hahaha
This deep disco was played in gay bars and clubs. This genre was underground so most places you didn't hear this type of music.

Ma génération une équipe de dingue en l'écoutant ce soir nostalgie mais Vive la MUSIC t'as Assuré bien vu 🎶 😘
Bombasse...🤩
This one of my favorite all time jams. It’s a shame people that don’t have a clue how a song is structured and how to take the listener/ dancer on a journey. Is allowed to have access to the multi tracks and do absolutely no justice to the original concept of the song. Some jams like this shouldn’t be messed with. Just saying
Sounds like The same drummer featured on "We Got Our Own Thing" By Cj and Co.
The Loft you'll, the Inferno, Ozone Layer, Studio 54, Bonds International Casino, 111 Hudson Gothams east and Gothams west in the house.
thanks for the memories uploader!
.....what a tuneee!!! belting this out by the pool right now...remember this from my childhood in the early 80s - played by my elder cousins :)
Nice upload sir!!!
Kick Ass. Full of attitude (the right kind)
*K-109 The Studio GTA IV*
Just a well kept secret which can be exploited by well educated DJ's after 30 odd years.randy muller was a legend, and Tamiko deserved to be too.awesome tune, great times !
Randy was prolific, just showing that the Skyy was not the limit !!!
Great Randy Muller , Brass Constuction LEGEND!
Love Youthhood Nostalgia
A HIT!

DJ David Mancuso, the producent of this great song is interviewed at 11.39 in the BBC-documentary "the Joy of Disco", availble on RUclips

Esattooooo
70s killer
GTA IV vibes
It's all about the grungy 16th-note synth line, panned center. The song goes limp when the synth line drops out in the fade.
Dave Lee/Joey Negro took a crack at remixing it; there's a John Morales mix too. None is as good as the original.
Baia degli Angeli sound - exclusive remixed and slow gear by BDJ
