As for the heraldry, there is Appendix B that helps you to make your own heraldry. You can either roll randomly or just go through the step and pick things that you like from the tables. The big rule is the Rule of Tincture, explained in that Appendix, first page. But if your charge is an animal or such, and you portray it in natural colors, then it is allowed to break the Rule of Tincture. And obviously, there is the Rule of Cool, too, if you are not that fussed about 'historical accuracy' in the inherently anachronistic setting with dragons and magic swords and faeries and monsters...
