I haven't been on it but I have been on disney's other best coaster rock n' roller coaster starring aerosmith which was great in terms of intensity but I'd say this one had better music and a better "vibe" like, being high over paradise pier with this kick ass music sounds awesome
Are you talking about the music on the launch track or the music when you wait to go in the station. Because both are great but the music before going into the station is amazing, and no one talks about it
Post Mania is by far the closest most accurate sourced audio ive heard on YT. I have been on a hunt to see if can find a crystal clear version the audio that was used in screamin's later years.
@@finn_4761 Well, hearing the higher quality version would be neat, but I can still use the quality given here to transcribe the notes. I'm curious what your source is, though. Did you work at California Adventure?
I find it interesting that they update the music over time. I always wondered why that one instrument that plays at the "loop" comes in a bit late in the CD version.
I always wondered what happens if you need to hold on the middle block break. I mean, it’s a compliment that I never heard it, because it means their operations were running smoothly! I did get the end block audio once because they were unloading a disabled person from the train in front, but I didn’t mind! I love that cue!

Wait, why would they need a separate version of the song for busy days? What's the explanation? Also, did they rerecord the guitar track for the post-Mania version?
The reason this ride has multiple parts to the song that you might not even hear is because there are some wonderful things called blocked sections and if they just played the main song it would end up being too short if they block brake stopped the train. They probably did just rerecord the Guitar... Quite likely.
@@willowby I understand block sections, that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the fact that there's so many different versions of the soundtrack. A busy day one, a post-TTMM one, etc.
Great, but the 2001 wasn't correct.. The second drop is missing an sound, the song that plays going up the lift keeps playing until the train reaches the edge & an another sound plays thats missing from it. Search California Screamin 2001 & listen when the train hits the second hill right before drop you'll hear another sound
Just look at 2001 videos of DCS & listen for the sound not of the brakes but when the train starts going down the biggest hill listen to the music audio
ProjectSunset Different guitar riffs, removal of the “bells”, muting the calliope, a lot of audio differences. The ride surprisingly had a lot of changes to it over time. Including the “screaming” tube, which the first tube would make screaming sounds from the LiM motors pushing you up more.
Finn_ it’s a shame this source audio is so rare to find, I hope to get all the source files of these one day. I’ve already accomplished getting rock n roller coaster’s source files so this ones next on my checklist

The original version of this ride will always have a special place in my heart for being one of the first big coaster I’ve ever ridden.
Agreed! We need GOOD imagineers that care about their fans feelings! Not bad ones that care about nothing but money!
Incredicoaster will never live up to this masterpiece 💀
I always loved when Neil Patrick said “Second thoughts? Too bad!” It’s so funny to me.

That block audio ending theme tho!! Eerie and relaxing, if only it would just continue another 8 bars before fading out lol

5/28/24: To be honest I never had the chance to ride this, but from the POVS and this amazing soundtrack, I’d say this kicks ass over Incredicoaster.
