I'm sorry it wasn't your 4th, 5th or 6th big of the year, especially with so few weeks left in the season, but what a beaut! :D There's still time though! I need to remind myself of that!!
I hand make all the spinners you see used in the videos. Pretty much inline spinner clones with custom wire, blades, bodies, sizes and weights. You can order them here tinyurl.com/2ru5uwff Happy fishing!
I’d say that the fish you got on this trip almost made you forget about that bum leg lol ,,,,beautiful fish Ron , me n wifey was just a hollering and rooting for ya.
@@lordkinbote3461 there is not much prairie in the driftless du to bluffs and hills. Lotsa farmland. No controlled burning I am aware of. Happy fishing!
Now you're going to have everyone fishing with pink lures. The monster trout would have hit the pink lure. Have you heard of Bethke's nymph (or scud) fly the pink squirrel? I think that 90% of the early season trout fly fishermen use the pink squirrel in the Driftless Area. With the timber in the sand bottom streams the trout have a great food chain, protection from predators, have a lot of what the trout need to survive and grow large. P.S. With some biodiversity (white suckers, minnows, crayfish, frogs, etc.) there would be more big trout. These big brown trout probably came upstream to get out of the hot water and to find a place to spawn. The bigger water the big brown trout came from probably was not desecrated by the DNR fish shocking crew.
@@nraugusmusic5005 Western WI Driftless. I do not name places or streams on Utube. Check out WI DNR maps for places you wish to fish. Every designated trout stream in WI is listed by county and on a map. Happy fishing!

Do any of the prairie vegetation streams you fish in the driftless get controlled burns?
