  • Follow Mikael on a short stop at The Blanda River on his Icelandic road trip. Blanda is with its glacier water quite different but can also be very productive. It holds some big fish and a great variety of exciting salmon pools. Check out this interesting river and some of the local experts talk about it - and yes of course there are some nice wild fish caught too!

    Wish you would handle and respect the fish better. Especially as they are all going back. Where is the Landing net? Shouldn’t allow them to thrash against the rocks where they can damage themselves and why are you holding them by the tail only? Please try to be a better sportsman

    I want to ask why do you do fishing but not take the fish home to eat?

      Well there are to few wild salmon so we fish for them in a sustaineble way

    How much is a day ticket in Iceland? Do I need a guide or can I fish alone too?

      There are a bit of everything in Iceland, but i must say in general its quite expensive...

      i do fish barbless at times... i think size of hook is very important for C&R too...
