Very nicely played, bravo! I have listen also to his Prelude+Fugue #2 which he plays superbly. He picks out the different tunes very adroitly and musically (and I am a 'cellist, I have a high rating of musicality over simple virtuosity). As for speed, it doesn't need to be that fast but it is OK, he is not racing like some pianists do, he is PLAYING fast. If it sounds like a race, listen again. Body posture is criticised by some people. Musically it is not important - if it helps him to feel the music, it's fine; his Osteopath might have a different opinion, of course!

I wonder even with next 10 years of constant practice I would be able to play like this. I ended up giving it up because I am too short. At your age probably I even couldn't play Fur Elise. To all the critics here, esp. Hotblack, since his comment is the longest:
First, please post your own video where you play this piece, to show us the perfect execution.
Second, this guy is playing really good and in tempo. The 2nd part of the prelude sounds a bit too romantic to me and I can agree with this part of the critique. But apart than that, the guy plays Bach really well (check out his other videos) and is an outstanding musician, that I would place really high in my personal ranking. Also, he is pretty close to Glenn in some parts, but with his own feeling. So, overall: deep respect! Carry on and don't let frustrated people to pull you down.

A briljant technique! but is it all music? It's only a question. I hear several pianists playing Bach as if they play etudes from Czerny or other briljant piano-composers. Where is the natural music? What is the musical idea? That's my question. It cannot be speed but something else...It's also not a competition in speed...is it not?

Everything about this is weird. The first thing that I noticed the way that he was sitting. He's sitting so far back from the piano that he literally has to reach with his whole body to play. There aren't any advantages to playing like that - his posture is making his shoulders and hands more tense, which could even injure him and I don't know where he got this from. The fugue is also too fast - it should be played slightly more slowly than the prelude but compared to the other problems that almost seems trivial. The initial tempo for the prelude would be okay if he could actually play it that fast, but then he slowed down wherever there was a difficult part like he hadn't figured out how to play the piece yet. The way that he changed the tempo for both the prelude and fugue isn't the way to play baroque music, and it seems like he's trying to take ideas from the romantic period without considering the intent of the composer.

Amazing control, 0 sense of musicality.
The prelude is played like someone pronouncing that ridiculously long Welsh town name as a party trick. WTC is not such a frivolous work. Then the fugue is played with a delightful touch reminiscent of Gould, but there is no phrasing; it is just spewed out like a computer. You should be better at this level.
