Slightly off topic, but Titanfall 2's story was way more engaging than FPS titles I've played because I liked the interplay of Pilot and Titan talking shit.
PolarPhantom It is probably the most engaging FPS single-player campaign since COD: Modern Warfare or Halo 3, especially since single-player in shooters has been less and less impressive lately. Just so many setpiece moments and fun dialogue.
Heavy Metal Collector I disagree, but respect your opinion. I think Halo 3 has some incredibly fun scenes, and gorgeous set design along with me just being a huge fan of the aesthetic and series gameplay. That said Titanfall 2’s story kicks fucking ass and handles AI super well, if a bit simply.

The whole "don't write about a rookie solider because you don't know what that's like" argument from Cage is so flaccid. While I agree that one can portray something better if they have firsthand experience of it, that depends more on the ability of the writer than anything else. That's like telling Tolkien not to write The Lord of the Rings because he's never talked to a hobbit. Fuck off.

What I mean is that Cage is trying to invalidate stories that have no basis in our reality, which is ironic because Tolkien's fictional world is far more interesting than ANYTHING David Cage can create in ours.
David Cage wrote a story about a man who got possessed and murdered someone, a story about a father who lost his child to a murderer/kidnapper, a person who was sucked into the world of a videogame and about an american teenage girl FBI agent with ghost powers.

In the interest of fairness, it sounds like David wasn't saying his game has no message, it sounds like David was saying he doesn't promote, one way or another, whether one should fight for civil rights by violent or non-violent means.

at that point though, why make your game have civil rights themes if you have nothing really to say about it? like out of all the plots you could make with robots that haven't been explored, why even bother with this one specific theme you don't want to say and apparently aren't qualified enough to write about cause he's not a robot fighting for civil rights??????

God, I can’t believe it has been 11 months since this was put out, and D:BH is nowhere near the dumpster fire I thought it was going to be.
I just tried out the demo and I'm somewhat interested. Now, before you all burn me at the stake, I'll wait for the reviews. However, from what I've seen, the gameplay is pretty much all of Norman Jayden's CSI work, but more detailed and those were the best parts in Heavy Rain!
I promise you, if you want want your kickstarter to make a cool million, have one of the end goal teirs be getting to kidnap David Cage and throw his ass off a building, you'd get funded in no time flat.....the actual going through with it part is up you if its worth the risk XD

I mean the fact that looking back on it, Hank and Connor's relationship is the only one that is heavily praised says a lot. And I say relationship because even some of their story like robot hookers and Kamski was bad.
