FM #2 has some interesting uses here in the states such as closed circuit broadcasting in churches, amusement parks, museums and other places. The band is from 72-76 mhz. Great platform for beginner SWL and MW Dxing.
@@ditto1958 yes for the price it is far better than the others at that price. But i wish so bad they put in a wider bandwidth. It is like this radio is exclusivly made for DXing
Ah I live in a area that has little to offer. I carry a over the shoulder kit bag. W/a wire antenna..my 219 is the USA model. Batteries are cheep easy to get. Head phone audio is good not harsh. PS I had radios stolen and it's not a heart breaker. If it's gets pinched. 😊😊😊
i like the part part about having to worry about it getting stolen or lost aswell. much more light hearted to carry a 219 around than a vintage sony. 73
@VintageOils really don't understand pinching the rig I had several hx 219 using 9 Mhz setup I gave to seniors they got busy cause I gave pens and note book with each radio ..one would not part with his. his Haus frau said he has alsthimers and the radio is his center now. So a simple gift mir frund. Ist best. Gut?
For its cost ..its top drawer the 10 mhz mod for usa was plesant. Runs cheep. I gave my 9s away and still hear rave. As the older folks wont part with them😊😊😊
Para mí el r.9012 tecsun es muy buena radio opera muy bien acá en colombia sintoniza muy claro am.fm.sw...en la noche recepciona buenas emisoras del mundo...

I bought a D-219 from Amazon, and got free next day shipping for $9. I think it’s amazing how good it is. Good video!

Looking at the XHData lineup, I think that DXing is a big priority for them.
Yes. Woth dxing the advantage of less noise of course outweights the narrow filter

which would you prefer: D-219 or R9012?
@@VintageOils I’ve never tried the R9012, but who knows maybe one day I’ll buy one…
@@ditto1958 worth a try! it has that nice all analog feel and reception is equal to the d219. also a bit better sounding
