All you need is Miniwax wood filler in the color of your choice, it's premixed, squeezes out of a tube and hard as wood. No sanding needed. $9 I've used this and it has lasted 15 years. Just had my floors scrubbed and I had new holes open up and applied after 15 years. No mixing needed. looks like natural stone.
I mixed and applied this product per the written instructions on the jar and exactly as this video. After 2 weeks of drying time, the filler putty is soft and can be easily scratched with a finger nail. It is softer than drywall mud. It is not a hard epoxy like surface than can withstand any scrubbing or polishing like previous repairs in the floor. Am I missing something here?
After the repair and days later, when the patched tile gets wet, does the filler turn dark (wets) or stay the same color (waterproof)? How does this compare with Tenax travertine filler in terms of durability? Tenax is polyester resin so it would turn dark (absorb water) when wet. A honed travertine tile doesn't absorb much water when wet so the travertine doesn't darken. The Stone Pro filler seems to be cement or similar to grout. I think it will behave like grout - turn dark when you wet it. Is that right?

Thank you so much. And you saved me some money!
