    Thank you for being so upfront and informative. There's a lot of misinformation online about Travertine - if you are lucky enough to even know you have Travertine lol. We just bought a house with it in the shower and unfortunately the prior owners have damaged with the wrong cleaners. At this point I'm trying to not cause any further damage. Can you perhaps do a video on sealers?

    The stone eez did nothing. I even resorted to putting it directing on. I only had a grout brush and the green scrubby. Literally still looks white. I think it cleaned the stone, but what do I do about the white in the corners and along some of the grout lines?

    I have had a travertine shower for 16 years. I only use soft water in my home. Only had to clean it once, i sprayed it with TSP then used my power washer to wash it down. Then I let it dry for 48hrs and sealed it. That was 8 years ago. All it needs now is an occasional wipe down with dawn and a microfiber. It smells and looks great.

    So really, the short answer is, YOU CAN’T CLEAN IT. I’m not against manual labor, but is one tile guy told me, “there is no reason to EVER use natural stone in a shower”.
    I concur. As a housekeeper, I’m trying to clean a shower that’s had no maintenance for 14 days. It’s virtually impossible, no it is impossible for me to get it clean. Sad!

      Same product. I would just go with the 10 to 1 ratio for regular cleaning.

    • @CleanWithConfidence
      @CleanWithConfidence  5 лет назад +1

      daintydina, I also should mention that the shower needs to be sealed. I didn't mention it in the video. The Floors Guys sell the sealer as well. From that point, if you notice the 10 to 1 ratio of Stone Eez is breaking down that sealer then they sell a different product called Daily Eez. It's pH neutral so there is no way it will ever break down any type of sealer. You can use that instead as well.

    • @CleanWithConfidence

      @@CraftingwithDinna You can seal it anytime, you just have to make sure it get deep cleaned first. You have to keep natural stone sealed because it gets dirty in a hurry if you don't. That's why I mentioned in the video I don't know why anyone would want natural stone because it's alot of MAINTENANCE lol!!!

    Will you please make a video on how to use microfiber cloths? I honestly don’t know how to clean with them. I’ve only used paper towels and occasionally those weirdo norwex cloths where you only use water. Microfiber is kind of a puzzle to me 🤷‍♀️ Do you treat them just like paper towels except you wash them afterward? I like to clean with diluted bleach, will that ruin the cloths?

    • @CleanWithConfidence
      @CleanWithConfidence  5 лет назад +1

      Sure! Microfiber clothes are basically just an all-purpose cloth. I would avoid using them with strong chemicals like bleach but you can use them to dust and or with Dawn dish Soap as a cleaning cloth all day long! I recorded a video about how to wash them once they get dirty. You can find that video inside the channel.

      @@soniaortiz5777 Make a 50/50 mixture of water and bleach. Spray it on effected area, let dwell for 15 minutes, scrub with a OXO Brush or an old toothbrush with stiff bristles, then rinse! Few maintenance tips, make sure that shower is sealed. Second, squeegee off all excess water from the walls after every shower this will help it to air dry faster. That should prevent mold from forming. :)

      I use cotton wool in long strips soaked in neat bleach pressed into the grout - it sticks - leave overnight the cotton wool dries but remains on the grout - collect up - mould is gone - only bleach kills the mould - can redo strips for the odd patch - even a few hours it works - also can buy cottonwood in thin strips in a big bag readymade for perming hair which saves time. Probably not the best way but after 10 years of trying everything else I’d rather risk a bit of discolour on the tiles than inhale mould spores - never ever would I choose natural stone again
