The worst thing I’ve seen with phone entitlement.
I went back to an old company I used to erect cell towers for. I was gone for 15 yrs.
Me, including three other climbers ascended to 220’ in the air. We all strapped off and were secure, waiting on the next piece of tower to be hoisted in place. Before the other guys did anything else and before talking about what the plan was next, they all pulled out their cell phones to check Fakebook or whatever they missed in the 20 minutes they weren’t on their phones.
I so wanted them to drop their phones, but apparently, these were professionals at using cell phones in inappropriate places.
    SMDH!

My dad is a construction worker. At the time of Nokie 3310's he had one he dug down on the construction site(by accident), found again with a metal detector, cleaned up, good as new. Then a month later he dropped it in a bucket of concrete. Cleaned, good as new. Then he dropped it in the fish pond at home. Dove in, dried it, good as new. That phone survived EVERYTHING until he left it on the belt of an excavator that is 😂

I’ve accidentally lost my phone in my house, if that counts? I’ve set it down somewhere and forgot where I put it 😂 I don’t live a very adventurous life. Back when flip phones were just coming out with cameras, my mom left her phone on top of her car as we were leaving for a cross country road trip with my sister in the other car…. According to her, she thought it was a bird. This was also the trip where she didn’t take the right exit to get to our house, wound up two states over with my other sister sleeping in the parking lot of a random hotel they stopped at and got told by cops to clear out because they were about to do a drug raid. They were missing for a few days, my dad did a statement on the news, good times.

They spend hours and hours in the rain, driving and walking up and down miles of highway in the dark, and finally FOUND the phone! Tears of joy were wept at the reunion. She tells the story very well, and it has a happy ending. So sweet.
