- This completes this update. I have a few flights on this gearr an so far it is working great.

Saw your video, just installed last night, two questions..
1. How did you attach wheelpants?
And
2. Did you mount the new gear over the landing gear cap or just over the opening?

I now have 30+ landings on this gear, no issues at all. This was one of the best upgrades I have ever done to a plane. I say that as far as the amount of improvement from original to modified.
Hi there Ghost rider that's a really nice mode you've done there....how's the Pilot Slick?
I'm on my 6th 67in Pilot model...various issues...plus dumb thumbs plus lots of repairs inbetween...
I've found that the Pilot definitely benefits from using nylon wing bolts (4 off) with nylon lock nuts to prevent the extremely difficult to break Carbon Landing Gear from completely trashing the inside of the fuselage....plus I also used an old carbon landing gear of an 67 NG which was curved cut it in half and used it to brace the aluminium angle pieces upto the wingtube...this with the nylon bolts prevents any low dead stick from being a written off fusalage!!!😉
Highly highly recommend at least the nylon bolts...the steel bolts just ruin everything

Thanks David. The Slick is ridiculous. I picked up this little extra to help prevent some dumb thumbs with the Slick. I may have to look into the nylon bolts on the landing gear.

18 x10 APC prop failed smoking!
Dualsky 110A summit lite failed overheated I even managed to have a fan on it and it still failed...
Fingers crossed that this industrial size ESC holds up. It should do !
Yeah, the heat here is crazy. I added the hole behind the canopy to increase flow around everything. No heat issues so far.

I purchased it from Extreme Flight. It is the gear for their 48" Extra.

Did you pack the space under the gear with anything or just screwed straight on?
No additional packing. I drilled the gear to match the original mounting holes in the fuse.

It is made from composite reinforced EPO foam.
