Setting this up for my VR system now… used it in the past, but have forgotten so much. Thank you for the content you so I can get this going again… It’s great for VR.
VA can ALSO be used for many non-voice-related functions involving your joystick, throttle and keyboard. You can also actually program it using variables without being a computer expert. Here are a few easy examples: 1) Change a toggle-only input into 2 separate buttons (like for landing gear up/down). 2) Add a press-and-hold capability to a button (like to prevent an accidental button bump from activating unless held down for 1 second, or even changing the output depending on length). 3) Change ANY button into a shift function for BOTH throttle and stick, effectively doubling or quadrupling your existing HOTAS capacity. 4) Mapping multiple functions to a single button, so it cycles thru a different one each time you press it (i.e. turning it into a multi-toggle-selector).
I have VoiceAttack and I have been slowly adding verbal commands. I don't have the F-14 in DCS world yet so I've been working with the Su-25t included free. This has some good training which I have been going through since I am still very new to flight sims of any kind. This is a good way to get the VA commands in systematically, for each training session. I'll see if I can do the same with other games, other planes, setup commands for the specific functions for each training session as if I had a real training session, test them out. I have been learning Elite Dangerous, X-Plane 11 and MSFS 2020. I have been looking into VorpX and playing Star Citizen and other games in VR. All of these will benefit from these two apps.
Hey thanks for the video, help a lot really but i dint know why my commands i say in the microphone dont go ingame. viacom pro recognize my commands and understand them (green light) but ingame DCS nothing happens
Try changing the target to "active window" AND that DCS is the only active window when you test it. Also, check the box in settings / system advanced / run as admin. And of course, make sure your game bindings match the VA output.
Hello, I just bought voiceattack for world of warships. i have went through the computer learning my voice many times. Now my problem is setting commands for the ships in the game. I am very lost and voiseattack has been upgraded since you did this video and its not the same from when you did this video. Do you know where i can import profiles for world of warships? If you can help me out that would be awesome because i have no clue as what to do to make this work. Thank you

#2 is a pretty creative use/function
Honestly, all these added button functionality abilities would easily be worth the $10 cost for VA alone!!
Brilliant.

And that you haven't turned off keyboard shortcuts etc (the right side icons).
while playing DCS online how do you assign a joystick button using X-57 Rhino, to push-to-talk in Teamspeak or Discord for example?
Assign any button you want but if your dcs running as admin your diacord/TeamSpeak needs to run as admin as well for the ptt to work
