Thanks for the video. Been meaning to check the wiring on my radio. Read in a forum a while back that there was some wiring issue with the unit which is why sometimes it doesn't work properly or the back light would stay on. I'm done half of the steps before when I installed a Blitz Aux system but atleast now I know how to take off the radio and check the wiring
Best way to find out is to find another unit and see if it replicate the same issue or not. Then you will know if it's the unit issue or the wiring harness to the radio

Thanks for the video, unfortunately even using similar pry tools and as carefully as possible, the dash was still damaged (smashed up and didn't spring back- which I can actually see evidence of in this video) and the shifter trim snapped in half in the middle. By that point I really regretted the damage, as nice as it is to have upgraded my system. Good luck to anyone doing this and trying to keep things looking new in the process...

Very nicely done with excellent camera position. A battery powered screwdriver makes the job more efficient. Question: Does replacing the car stereo restore a "dead" display? This is apparently a common problem in this generation of Accords.

Great video, I take for granted having heated seats, leather and radio controls on the steering wheel. You should find a junk yard that has these parts. Itd make for a great video

You can use any pry tool, but the one we used we got it at harbor freight.

As long as the wire harness fits onto the 6 cd disc plug and play. I haven’t done one myself so I can’t tell. What’s the unit link?

The light on the radio doesn't work for me. I can't see the ventilation at night, the temperature. Can only that be adjusted or does the whole central treasury have to be changed?
Did you check the fuse?
@@NutzAboutBolts can be the fuse even the radio is working, ventilation, everything except the light ? During the day it's fine.

Probably the radio, mine does the same bs, it even turns on when the car is off and im close to ripping it out and throwing it in the trash where it belongs

Anyone know if these radios are interchangeable between a 2003-2007 Accord coupe? Need to replace mine as it is breaking down and the junk yard has one from a 2005 Accord coupe and one from a 2007 Accord coupe.
they are interchangable but you need to get the security code

I thought Honda radios needed a code if they were ever unplugged and then plugged in again?
Maybe it’s only the Navi.? Mines never needed a code
They do, if they loose power then you have to input a code to unlock them
