Mark, something else. You are soon going to hit 100k subs. And although you are a Kiwi and I am a Bok, I'm very proud of you. Keep it going.
Rassie is about the only doctor I have unwavering faith in anymore.
He's had pretty bloody good results thus far!
Wait till you have a punctured lung, then call him
im from south africa and i can proudly say me and my mates watch your channel and you are better than the new zealand show the breakdown we enjoy the content
Appreciate it mate! I've largely given up on The Breakdown sadly. The Aotearoa Rugby Pod is a decent watch though!
You must watch the atearoa rugby pod with rass karl, bryn hall and jame parsons. Best rugby pod out
@@TwoCentsRugby Yeah the Aotearoa Rugby Pod crew are a much better outfit!
The Breakdown Show has “one eyed” commentators Wilson & JK! Never watch the show! JK has all the answers - but has a dismal record of coaching - win rate of just 33%! Go play in your new Wave Pool JK.
@johnlamb3101 yeah man I feel sorry for Goldie, he seems to be genuine.
Good luck to the mighty Bok's from an AB's supporter in the South Pacific, the AB's also are starting the year with some new players AND a new coach, both teams trying new combinations, see you soon !!☻🤪☻🤪☻🤪
Going to be epic mate. The only Match that we really look forward to. Well besides Ireland now as we really want to humble them.
I was kind of hoping you guys would give Fozzie a job for life 😅
Seriously, Robertson is the real deal and will get you humming again. The ommission of Sotutu did raise an eyebrow, but it could turn out to be a tactical masterstoke. Much will depend on how well he does in the first year. Momentum has to be built but it's very difficult to do that after a poor run of form.
I think the next Webb Ellis is yours, with the Aussies under Schmidt being wildcard favourites given the home field advantage. I think we'll see three SH giants in the semis, with SA not making the final despite playing better rugby than last time - often the way.
@@michaelscottpapercompany6191 yes because the boks are soooo humble
Can't wait for ABs tour to SA. Going to be so close. A pity we can't get back to tests with midweek matches
This is my first time noticing you have a bottle of Klippies behind you, nice touch.
I bought a bottle back during the RWC. Haven't had any for about 6 months - now felt like the right time ;)

Ricky low is better
Do u know why Rici louw is tied down with ropes ??? Cuase is dangerous !
😂😂😂
I think Rassie is being smart. Let’s build on the World Cup triumph with an Ireland series win and a rugby championship. Phase in one or two youngsters as injury demands. Then start phasing the older players out.
Rassie did once say some senior guys are not here for 2027, but for maybe two years, get to their milestones 100th etc and passing on knowledge to their successors. Change is coming this cycle and I think that's why Rassie took the job again to oversee the transition.
Makes sense to me - instead of just leaving the rookies to fend for themselves
I thought Boks were very rusty against wales
Why is Erich louw not in squad
Apologies spelling
@@McGillivrayDavid A good question. The reality is SA have so much talent in front row that someone has to miss out.
If Kolbe, Arendse and Van Der Merwe play at the same time the Earth will spin off its axis.
Unless its against the all blacks.
@@nielvanderwalt1965except RWC 2019 ,2023 ,2027 😮😂
@naidoo307 the AB's beat them in 2019. 2023 yeah you guys won, and 2027 hasn't happened yet??
Dweba must never seen the green and gold again
Why cant he improve?
Really looking forward to this clash. I think the series will end 1 - 1. Best of luck to the Boks, from an Irish fan 🇮🇪🇿🇦
Thanks mate, from a bok fan, best of luck in the series, it's gonna be a cracker.
I think Rassie is going to try and win the Ireland series and rugby Champs, and the start blooding new guys in the end of year tour
Yeah I reckon - Farrell has also opted to back the experienced guys largely too
Rugby champs will get loads of noobs for the quota numbers again
@user-qe1tv1bu2f we don't have quotas in rugby. Picks are made purely on merit
Every time the government comes in and trys to interfere Rugby SA turns around and tells them to fuck off our players are only chosen on merit
@@wlk2408how are they quota players? Their skin tone?
@@wlk2408 Watched almost every match of craven week this year and i have not seen a single player there who dident look like they belonged. RUgby in SA famously rejected quotas shut the fuck up and stop being a cry baby because you werent good enough to be chosen on merit

Out of all the ugby RUclipsrs, your pronunciation of the Saffa names is second to none!
Mr Ngomezulu on the radar for me
He is good, ist he!? 🦁💚🏉
Cameron Hanekom was unlucky not to make it, still young though
Hamstring injury unfortunately.
As a Stormers supporter I rate him above Roos. Hope he gets back soon. 🍻👍🏻
His injury 2nd half really change momentum of the final something silly.
@@benvandermerwe4934 As a Bulls supporter, so do I :)
Just remember it was Hanekoms breakout season. Remember Roos 1st season he won all the urc awards. People start to figure you out. Lets see how his second season will go...
Ireland are going to struggle with no JGP Hanson, Hugo Keenan and Conan, hopefully we can keep it competitive
Ireland have great depth, they will be ok also SA has a long list of broken players too, the only loss I feel that really sucks is Hanson. I am sure it's going to be an absolutely brilliant battle!
Rhe biggest losses are definitely keenan and jgp. Leinster sorely missed keenan against the bulls and jgp is the engine of the Irish team. @vahorgan
Ye when you consider Vs that #1 team they'll be without jgp, sexton, Hansen, Keenan, Conan. Ringrose, JOB and Ryan all just back from long term injuries.
I'm expecting a 2-0 loss but hope we can scalp 1 win. Ireland's depth is overstated. We've solid players but no one of sexton, Hansen, Keenan, JGP ilk at second choice.
@@vahorganIreland doesn’t have great depth in some positions.
Nah man that squad is the business. Just a pity about Siya Masuku guy has been tearing it up all whilst Sascha didn't even get proper game time at the Stormers
Masuku's rise has been quite incredible! At least he's on the standby list
Siya Masuku's time will come, that's without a doubt. He's behind a few players at the moment, but it's only a matter of time.
How old is he?
@@AceMabhekaMasuku is 27 and has one year of URC experience.Sacha def has the higher ceiling of the two
Sacha is a natural, cool as a cucumber on his debut. I don't know why the Stormers do not play him at 10, ridiculous actually. He is going to be huge, Pollard's successor... sorry for Manie, but this boy has BMT. He reminds me of a young Frans Steyn and Pollard in that regard. .
The Springboks need to beat Ireland, it is beef now…hence the team selection, they do not want to lose.
If you use a bomb squad does age matter?
Bafana Bafana Boks vs Paddy and the Imports. It'll mean a lot more to the latter, hopefully it lives up to the billing.
Next lock gotta be Reinhardt Ludwig
Honorable mention to Sanele Nohamba? Shame he doesnt get a go. Faf and Reinach are not going to last and against such a tough opponent he should get to shine!
Nohamba is the best player in SA at the moment.. the wy he controls games and can create opportunities from nowhere
SA should be expecting to win this series convincenly.
Oh ye of little faith!
@@johnmc3862I was pleasantly surprised with how we did 😉
Masuku, like EVDM, is 27/28, so not the youngest debutants, Sascha is probably the future at 10 for the Boks, but Masuku will definitely get a look in if he keeps the form he has shown for the Sharks this season
Man is Masuku already that age!?
@@TwoCentsRugby Yep, he's that old, along with quite a few players who suddenly sparked. He's had a break out season for sure, but have ask where was this form previously, though, considering covid lockdowns etc impact on last WC cycle, there is certainly context, and certainly careers that suffered for it, got stifled with the poor timing.
Not probably, Sacha is our future 10.
How can guys like Elrigh Louw, Wilco Louw, Nortje, Papier, Kriel not be in the squad after that season they had....the bulls forward pack munched the irish front row and dominated physically, yes the final they looked tired and played the wrong game plan(willie le roux was missed massively) but one bellow par game doesnt change your season. Trevor was great but the guy is ancient, W.Louw is 28 and yes ben jason dixon or even buthelezi had great seasons BUT not better than E. Louw...Am hasnt had the best season...not like Kriel and sorry but Moerat is a walking red card and not the best lineout jumper...van Heerden or Nortje are better.
You are definitely a Bulls supporter, being emotional about things and not logical. Trust in the Springboks Management
They will get their chance, be patient. You are right, the Bulls forwards were outstanding.
"Senior" maybe, but on average no older than the Irish squad.
You're far too focused on age. There's still 55-odd tests until the next RWC. More than enough time to blood new talent.
I'm happy with Rassie's squad, its what I was hoping for. Pick the best and expirienced for Ireland and All Blacks to prove they are the best then mix around with the other tests. I would be happy if we win the 4 tests with Ireland and ABs, thst to me is a successul season.. The rest of the other tests dont really matter. No disrespect! I see that Klipdrift
I was looking forward to these games a couple of months ago, but we would need to be at full strength to have any chance of a win, just think we have too many key players missing and haven't really hit our stride since the departure of JS. A draw would feel like a series win for Ireland, May be a stretch.
Rassie is the best rugby coach the Springboks has ever had and his choices are sound and calculated and the springboks are heading for success...all the way!!
It's only the first year post World Cup.
Kolisi should not be in the squad. He has not played well the entire year and was below par in the WC as well. No natural replacement for Etzebeth....

20. Smith
21. Van Staden
22. Williams
23.Fassi
V d merwe I’m not really sure off yet,, he played against a poor wales,,,however sacha is the real deal 100%…. I would pair him with experience de Klerk…..Le roux is not so solid under a high ball that’s why I’m leaning towards fassi he is brilliant….That is my team and no one on here can say I’m wrong we as South Africans we watch the game from little we know rugby trust…❤
However the most important thing out of all… we are building for the triple crown so keep that in mind…. We need these new players to come in…. Most of the players I’ve selected can play anywhere in positions… it’s the best rugby squad I’ve seen EVER!!!!
we want to win I understand that but the series ain’t important getting in these new players and game time is important ❤
Willemse injured and they won’t start Sacha vs Ireland
I can't wait until Moodie is well and fit enough to show his unbelievable talent
Spoiled for choice in the outside backs!
Next young lock to make a impact soon..

Varsity Cup team (years): Tuks (2018)
DHL Stormers debut: 22 May 2021 vs Sharks
DHL Stormers caps: 39
He’s 27 not that young mate
I think you are missing something important. You not going to rebuild a Springbok team with a Ireland test series. That would be like committing suicide. I think Rassie is going to use the rest of this season using mostly the World Cup Squad. I think he will start Blooding new players in between that core group. He will be more aggressive next year with blooding new talent. The reason Wilco Louw is not part of the main squad is because he is good in the scrum but to slow around the park.
I must commend you on pronouncing all those South African names so well. It takes hard work. Wildcard had me in stitches trying to say Phepsi Buthelezi, Buthelezi being a very famous Zulu name and full name being Phendulani Sikhizane Hendrick "Phepsi" Buthelezi and not after the cool drink. Let alone that one is looking for Kwagga who is Albertus Stephanus 'Kwagga' Smith.

Rassie trusting in his veterans
alot of these players will not make it to the next world cup......hope Rassie doesnt fall into that trap about tried and tested with the old guard.....need to get as many young guns up to speed ASAP
Can’t wait for the All Blacks to
play South Africa again! SA have
great world class depth
Watching Rassie's press conference today regarding the squad for Ireland, you understand more why certain players we as fans would want to see and think deserve a shot...#TrustInRassie
Comes down to who they're playing first up. Same issue with British & Irish Lions - needed to just get the win, and then focus on blooding the next gen. So makes sense to back the core veterans
Yeah it's interesting to see the strategies of the different coaches. Some are going full on with the youngsters, some are a mix, others are easing a few in while maintaining the veteran core
Full on with youngsters Fabien Galthe & France come to mind for me..
@@TwoCentsRugby The All Black squad does not seem all that different either... lots of veterans in your squad.
That's a pretty good squad, especially considering the players NOT selected!
Jean Luc du Preez has been on the sidelines forever for me and not sure why he never gets the nod. I wonder what is Tyrone Greene missing that makes him not to be selected for the Boks.
Rassie mentioned the importance of the younger players going through the SA youth system in a recent press conference.
Let's see how this ages. The only game that's close/important is going to be the AB's. We are going to bend the irish.
Bloemfontein is spelt incorrectly. You need an "n" between the "o" and the "t".
When you consider thos ireland team Vs that #1 team they'll be without jgp, sexton, Hansen, Keenan, Conan. Ringrose, JOB and Ryan all just back from long term injuries.
I'm expecting a 2-0 loss but hope we can scalp 1 win. Ireland's depth is overstated. We've solid players but no one of sexton, Hansen, Keenan, JGP ilk at second choice.
We just cant match other nations where the game is bigger or more popualr like that.
As much as I dislike Sexton...he was one of the best. From SA
I’d be keen to see a prospective lions tour squad at the end of the summer internationals!
Against the Irish at home. Pick your hardest seasoned guys.
This Springboks team is going to look very different come the 2027 World Cup. A vast majority of their current players more than likely won't be there.
Forwards
Kitshoff, Koch, Nyakane, Malherbe, Mostert, Etzebeth, Steph du Toit, Kolisi, Smith, Mbonambi, Fourie.
Backs
Arendse, Kolbe, Am, De Allende, Kriel, Reinach, De Klerk, Le Roux
Most of these names will be 34+.
Arendse is 28
Very scary young back line starting to filter through that squad. Williams, SFA, Moodie, Arendse and Fassi would make for a cracking backline at RWC2027.
Nohamba is better than them at the moment
As much as I would love to go 2-0 in this series, the Boks are really bad at stringing together 2 great performances together against the same opposition. I'm thinking of when we gave the AB's a proper beating and then followed that up with a loss, Wales' also beat us in their tour here and there was that embarrassing loss in Aus followed by a win. I can see us having 1 great game and then 1 meh performance against Ireland. And Ireland are definitely gonna beat a meh performance from us.
Thank you for that sunshine. I disagree, it will be 2-0 to the Boks.
The veterens need to return. How else get to pass on the experience/knowledge to the younger/newer players, facilitate transition over next 4 years. Want to blood new players, evolve next by next world cup, sure, but like to do it while still having a good record for once, will need plan it over time, not just throw everybody in the deep end, sink / swim etc. Let contracts run out let others prove their worth at test lvl as chances arise, and let the knowledge be passed on to the new guard smoothly, unrushed.
It's a contrast to say, Wales aye - where all the youngsters have found themselves in the deep end
Within reason. We have a history of holding onto some of our veterans a bit too long and it bites us in the backside.
@@TwoCentsRugby Wales situation is rough for sure, and sadly a self-inflicted wound by their useless Wales Rugby management. Feel for the players, going to be alot of early pain, but hopefully they come out the other end stronger for it and something is done at Wales management lvl so this nonsense doesnt happen again, that Welsh Rugby is left to fall so far
@@Karma-qt4ji You think maybe you holding onto a past/trend out of context here yourself? Its oft been a weakness in South African sport in general, not only our rugby, for sure, but what gives you reason to be concerned about this considering Rassie's term in office, if anything, it would quite unexpected to see this error from him, considering what we've seen over the years tbf.
Its only the Boks 1st 4 games into the new 4 yr cycle at this point.

@@TwoCentsRugbyplease find out for us, maybe in a separate video?
Good video, as always Mark. Trust me: Rassie and Co are absolutely bent on thrashing the Irish, hence the older stalwarts will be deployed for the next two tests. But as from the Portugal test and on to the Rugby Championship, Rassie and Co will deploy more of the youngsters as they start building for RWC 2027. Rassie has said on a few occasions now that they really want two teams with all players being interchangeable, which will greatly assist with player management and the management of injuries. Cheers from Safferland chaps! 🇿🇦

Sacha and Jordan are 22 and 23 respectively, This year being around Pollard, Damian and Willie will really help grow them. Also the likes of Ethan Hooker being around all those experienced centres with Tony Brown gives a good indicator on the Bok future.

@@TwoCentsRugby yeah especially now with the new attacking coach and world rugby trying to get away from forward rugby.
Couldnt disagree more. Alot of Pollard in Sacha, and reckon he could well leapfrog Manie as 1st choice starting 10 by next WC with ease. Saying that Siya Kolisi shouldn't be picked for the Springboks is a cardinal sin in their eyes. But I agree, Siya has almost been dead weight in the Springbok jersey for the past few years. If it wasn't for his captaincy, I think he would have been gone a few years ago.
Siya has actually been pretty decent for Racing, when he wasn't injured.
I watched about 5 games where he started and he was consistently one of their best 2 or 3 players.
And to single out Kolisi is weird, all the old heads were brought back.
@@truthbetold8233 not intentionally singling him out but rather that there's so many players knocking on the door of selection. I've watched a fair amount of top 14 and HC and didn't think he made much impact. Assumed he was injured. Very happy if he proves my question wrong (always been a fan)
