    Just some things:
    - This song is about the clean vocalist experience with religion and about scientology, since his dad was in it and Tilian became disillusioned by religion.
-this is genre is called Swancore which is a sub genre of metal/ post hardcore that incorporates many genres into a cohesive experience. Many great swancore bands out there once you open up.
-i don't believe DGD uses synths, will swan is incredible guitarist capable of creating crazy riffs. Their older albums have some wild riffs that sound insane.
-DGD writes music first then lyrics. Tilian brings in grounded clean vocals and Jon mess just rhymes his lyrics to fit the song with no overall meaning sometimes to contrast so his lyrics are bizarre.
Thats all I have, if you get into the band you'll find out more as you go. This was also my first song by DGD after I found their cover of That's What I Like which I recommend to check at some point.

This song is part of the robot with human hair series which is comprised of like 8 or so songs spread across like 3 albums, with the Mothership (this album cover) being a time machine so I'm unsure of the chronological order of the songs

Love the reaction to Will Swan's guitar as keyboards/synths.

I’ll subscribe if you react to more by them. Their entire discography is unique and perfectly layered. Btw all their vids have lyrics in the description. Not that anyone understands them lol. PS I agree with Official’s comment, those are goodies.

Miguel is spot on for the comment about Swancore, literally derived from their guitarist's pure musical genius - Will Swan. He experiments with tons of effects and guitar tech against his skill, all while hatin' on acoustic.. "you can't weedily weedily on a woodily woodily"

If you liked the clean vocalist. you can check his solo stuff. You might find it much easier to listen to, Tilian - Cocky or Tilian - Hold On for example

There is a whole animated lore surrounding the music videos. The video you watched is in the middle of that lore.
Its like starting the Harry Potter series at Goblet of Fire.

Nice reaction! Just subscribed! Amazingly talented band. You should definitely check out more! This album (Mothership) my favorite by them. "Man of The Year" is off this album and it's my all-time favorite song. A bit heavier but super emotional and hard-hitting, and the entire band really shines on the track. You should react to it!

Listen you've seen enough DGD to know that Jon Mess doesn't make sense. You overthink every reaction you have for these guys. There are many DGD experts that will fill you in. Just don't question stuff every 5 seconds....this is not the band to do that to....

okay i get the whole pausing thing cause of copyright but way too much pausing lol but i like how you instantly got into it when Jon Mess came in with the unclean vocals. So im gonna guess youre between 18 - 25 That means these guys came out when you were between 3 - 10 yrs old. How you gonna say youre not fucking with them when you were vibing the whole time 😂🤦🏻‍♂️ And the whole switching up the genre in their songs is their thing. Not the first its been done, i know that, but the way they do it tho.... just keep listening. They will grow on you but you definitely picked a good one as your first reaction to them. Iit was my first song i heard by them with Tilian as the singer but started listening back when they were new 2005. Now listen to more and you'll get hooked. Just so you know they have had three different singers (Johnny Craig, Kurt Travis [JC came back for a short while] and then Tilian Pearson joined and has been the singer since 2013 [the longest one] and there's a few bands that have past and/or present band members) Listen to DGD first and watch they will grow on you.

I'm gonna be 31 in july. Just cos they were around doesnt mean I listened to them lmao
I vibed to some of it, but there was just too much going on in the song... by the time I was vibing to a part, they changed it haha

@@Abireacts oh, no way! me too lol 7/22 but I'll be 32. you just look way younger. well, they werent that big before. i mean even now theyre biggee than before but theyre not on levels of like the poppy stuff like Billie Eilish or um.... honestly dont even know whos big right now when it comes to pop stuff but if you were younger that woulda made sense. i got introduced to them by a friend when we were about 15 and i liked them but i stopped listening to them after their 2nd singer joined. So i had no idea the original singer had returned and left again and when i heard this song i was like, "whoa who the fuck is this guy?" lol and started listening to them again
