I work as a flight attendant and had landed in Melbourne after a 15 hour flight on 26 Feb 2020. By the time we arrived at the hotel, I had been awake for almost 24 hours so I figured I may as well use the last of my energy reserves and hit the streets for a walk around the city. I remember coming across a bar with posters advertising the likes of Angel Olsen, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Weyes Blood etc and thinking to myself, "how incredible is it to think that so many great artists have once, and still will, congregate under the roof of this singular building to perform a set." The dates advertised for Weyes Blood were for later in the month and spread across Australia (bummer), but it was still great learning how good the music scene was in Melbourne. I grabbed breakfast, did a bit of sightseeing and headed back to the hotel for a kip. I woke up about an hour later and the first thought that came to mind was, "let me double check on those dates, since I'll be heading in and out of Australia throughout this month." I kid you not, Weyes Blood was performing 1.6km's away from our hotel and in about one hours time from when I had woken up. I jumped in the shower, threw on whatever I could find and hopped into an Uber, hoping there would be tickets left over. Lucky for me, there were about 3/4 tickets and I was able to watch one of my favourite artists perform (I can easily say they sound better live - is that even possible?!). To this day, this has to be one of my favourite layovers; the pure spontaneity of it all, the people I met and interacted with and it being one of the last 'normal' layovers before COVID hit. "Titanic Rising" is by far my most played album of 2020, and "A Lot's Gonna Change" has to be my anthem for 2020. It has helped me heal through dark times, put me at ease in times of worry and remind me of what life once was pre-pandemic, and what it has the possibility of being post-pandemic. I feel really lucky to have had this experience; thank you Natalie and team - this was a great way to remember 2020. X
“You guys like *RUclips*? You like watching videos on RUclips?” LOL Yes - but only fantastic, soul-affirming stuff like this show…My god, she’s an amazing artist
Yep. She cites Joni Mitchell as one of her influences. First time I heard her I thought I heard Aimee Mann. But no. Oh, no. Once there were 3 female voices in my head: Carpenter, Mitchell, Mann. So the trinity is now a quadrinity. Now I can die happy.
This is wonderful, thanks for putting this here! It's a shame no soundboard tapes from the In Holy Flux tour have come up yet... There's at least one audience tape of one of the shows floating around, but a soundboard tape would just be wonderful. Hopefully at least an IEM tape shows up somewhere.
I was there and luckily my actual last concert was her pop up gig a week or so later at the start of March. I got sent off with a bang into Covid, can’t complain!

Beautiful write-up, thank you.
So beautiful!
wow. amazing :)
what a glorious fucking recording.
Right? Props to whomever set up the mics for this. I can hear the room. Her voice doesn't hurt either.
Something to believe is one of my favorite songs of all time
doesn't get better than this
“You guys like *RUclips*? You like watching videos on RUclips?” LOL Yes - but only fantastic, soul-affirming stuff like this show…My god, she’s an amazing artist
This makes me grateful to live in 2022.
She’s really a time traveller! I feel like im in a Joan Baez or any other artist concert in the 70’s, she really has this 70’s spirit
Joni Mitchell performing at Northwestern University in 1968-'69 comes to mind.

Perfect perfect perfect
Oh wow. This Wild Time version hits different
God this is so good! And the female backing vocals/bass is just tremendous.

Joder que buena calidad de audio. Y que corten con Wild Times lo hace tan melancólico y precioso. Ojala exista por ahí un link de descarga. Gran show
"This song's about recent times. It's called... Wild Time."
In February 2020. Just a reminder things can always get worse
my fav Album's song

Alas, if only we had Forever Young.

@@GrottOnes Love her selections. Whiter Shade is still the strongest.
She increases the tempo live it seems. The studio version is noticeably slower.
The sped up version of the songs kind of give me anxiety haha
Thanks for sharing!
Oh thank you! They are really good artists. They know what "art" means...
Endless talent. Thanks for this upload. Fantastic quality
Omg, such a crazy timing, for a lot of people in the audience probably it was their last show in some time. The version of Mirror is just breathtaking
