I have always watched you for beauty content; I watch a lot of that. I don’t watch really any travel content, even though I’ve traveled a lot. So even though I adore you, I don’t watch your travel content, although I’m VERY happy to see you are traveling and living so well. But it’s your channel and your life, so I never get mad or upset if you aren’t doing the same old thing and you want to do something new. It’s your life and your channel! I’ll always be checking in on you for some beauty content!!

The morphing of your content to include what your life currently is about…..travel, self growth, friendships & community…. It’s a refreshing take on just what’s going on that you want to share. Like everyday life; relatable. Your travel vlogs with grwm & specific travel & outfit items for the trip have been fun to watch. On another note, I prefer more colorful palettes, then cool tone palettes, & lastly neutral palettes, but whatever you feel like using for your grwm's is just fine.
Sam, you talk about how many times when you travel, you pack last minute. Since you have so many trips coming up have you ever thought of keeping a bag packed with makeup, toiletries and your favorite clothing basics? That way you are always ready and you would just have to add some trendy, fashion pieces for going out. Lord knows you have enough makeup and toiletries to just have bags always packed for travel purposes only.
Ideas: pack with me, travel essentials, grwm in the places/hotels, unpack with me, vlogs, vlogs and more vlogs(I like a combo of talking &b-roll), day of travel are really interesting too, what do your subscribers recommend for traveling, tried &true makeup for traveling, trying different shoes for traveling(comfortable yet cute), finding the perfect bag for travel, safety tips for travel... CoverGirl Lash Blast mascaras are good in terms of not smudging or melting or transferring. I think they’re seriously underrated. They’ve been my holy grails forever. I like the one in the purple tube. I think it’s for length AND volume.

I think the unpack with me is great. I think you learn what you thought would be needed wasn't. I also think sharing what you learned when going to these various places (i.e. going to Hamptons I didn't know about x). I know Jessica Braun talked about putting SPF in her hairline so not to burn. She also talked about things she didn't use or things she should have brought.
First of all Sam, I'm here for all your get ready with me's. I've been watching your videos for so many years now. I have an unrelated question though! I am mostly a neutral eyeshadow girly. I have never bought the Patrick Ta MD neutral pallet tho! I was on a no buy when it came out, then a low buy until this year because I have way too much makeup, especially eyeshadow.I got the pink one). Im here for allllll the ND pallets! I have the Biba! I love and own, I think every midi and own many of her minis. I haven't got her golden midi one yet! I'm not a big gold wearer, but I do have the mini gold, and the baby gold. So my question is, if it were you, knowing what I've shared. If you were to only want to purchase one pallet right now (maybe ever) between the Patrick Ta and the ND golden, which would you choose?
And I love seeing comparisons, helps me grasp what the new product is really like. Like that YSL bronzer, how is the tone of it compared to the charlotte tilbury? Or the oat McGrath? I’m considering a new bronzer this summer/fall and not sure which one. I do have the oat McGrath bronzer in several shades, and I just don’t love the actual tone/color of them. So comparisons help…. Doesn’t have to be a whole dedicated video, just a quick mention. But yes, I still love the beauty videos!
I like the cool tones on you. Ive surprised myself with how into cool tones I have gotten. I used to think they made me look dead. Maybe there is a better mix of neutrals being thrown in with cool tones and it makes me like it more.
I love the way the makeup came out. The nomad travel palette was pretty. I always make my husband watch your videos with me, he said the lipstick was bright. I loved the look.
I can sympathise with that! Sorry to hear of your watermelon woes! I'm that way with anything coconut. I have very fair and cool-toned skin that is super oily, extremely acne-prone, and ridiculously sensitive. Coconut (even coconut fragrance) in skincare and makeup makes my face react SO badly and painfully. 😬

I wish I could take naps. I can only nap if I’m sick with certain things. It’s so weird since I had my hysterectomy I can no longer take naps. I would also like an unpack with video too

Are used to be sort of fair complexion and now it seems I am light medium, or just the darkest shade of light undertones so there are some foundations. I can’t find a match in at all. Ordered nars one so hopefully it’s right undertone and shade.

I can handle the Natasha denona colors but some of the indie bright colors, those just aren’t for me. I love the travel videos too, it’s like a way I can experience other places without actually being there.

I like beauty stuff still, but I have been shifting my budget to spend less on beauty and more on travel/experiences, so I feel like my media consumption is reflecting that. Fortunately for me, you and Angelica seem to be shifting more towards travel recently as well.
I still love beauty content, but I think overall, people are kind of over eyeshadow palettes. Not everyone, but a lot of people. And if they are still liking shadow palettes, they want neutral leaning. Even at Sephora (I work there), the most colorful palettes we sell are Pat McGrath, and no one under 30 is buying palettes at all. They are more likely to use bronzer in the crease and be done with shadow. I don't feel like your audience is a big indie audience, so a colorful Nomad palette might not be for the majority of your followers, but Natasha Denona, Makeup by Mario, Patrick Ta...those palettes would be what your audience would be more likely to watch/buy.
I've been watching you for a long time, and in my view, you've been less and less energetic/interested in your beauty videos for a while now. You've even talked about it in several of your past videos. If I were a follower primarily for beauty, I would have been moving away for a while too, and maybe moved on. It's just an educated guess, but maybe you've inadvertently modified your community to match your interests now?
