Top 5... Love this video... sleep, diet / nutrition, mechanical stress, bone stimulator, bone graft... and... physical therapy = Healthy Bone Growth!!!
i know that many people that are doing limb length don't sleep well as they have discomfort of some sort, some do sleep like 4h per-day, from what you mention this can lead to a non- union , that is quite scary.
@Cyborg4life - do you recommend taking MCH Bone Maximizer after consolidation is achieved? (once you start to walk and weightbare, is it necessary to continue taking this supplement?)
Good question! I'd say if FULL consolidation is achieved like before or after nail removal then no. BUT prior to that I'd surely recommend a bone healing stack such as bone maximizer or something like it as your body is still utilizing the ingredients to synthesize new, hard bone so you can do more than just walk and get back to full functionality
So in case of someone going with the old ilizarov method, how can they have a sound sleep, we can't take painkillers everytime right, excessive painkillers ruin the kidneys
Great video 👍🏻 victor i heard that muscle tissue can grow 0.66m maximum per day is that the optimal rate for growth, also is it true short people organs are not like tall people they will suffer more and risk blood clot thanks again
Hmm not entirely sure. I know people with forms of dwarfism tend to have smaller limbs and skeletal structures but not sure about organs. Perhaps smaller bones mean less chance for embolism? I also got to look into muscle growth rate not 100% certain
Hi Victor, I am 5'7 (170cm) and I am planning to do surgery in both my femur and tibia. Is it safe to lengthen my Femur by 8cm (3 inches) and my tibia by 5cm (2 inches) to obtain a total of 5 inches of height?
It’s the maximum « safe » lengthening you can do, but I recommend you to do it a year apart if you want maximum length, and it’s much safer. Btw, will you wait for the stride nail to come back? Or you’ll do it with the precice?
@@Cyborg4Life Victor, I have a similar question, but I would like to see if I can maximize and optimise the recovery and the safety of the operation. I would want to gain 5cm, so usually femurs would be enough. But what if for proportions and also for safety and recovery I get both tibias and femurs, one week apart, and lengthen my tibias for 2 cm and my femurs for 3 cm? Would it be an option? With my calculations my consolidation phase will occur a month earlier.
hello victor, i am currently 164 cm height and i want to go 178 - 180 cm. dr paley has a option (5) about my goal. It says we can go up to 16cm with three surgeries. Combined tibia (4 cm) and femur (4 cm) lengthening three weeks apart, followed by rebreaking of femur and tibia with the same PRECICE in place one year later with a second lengthening of 4 cm in each bone (up to 16 cm in height PRECICE-Stryde) what do you think it's safe to lengthening that long? thank you
what’s up! I just had a Bimalleolar fracture on the left ankle two weeks ago stepped wrong at the soccer game I don’t take pain medication. I eat good in a light workout. It seems like if you maintain your weight or even lose more weight, will help you move around and recover faster. You are right ! good diet, good sleep, no alcohol and no smoking for sure.. 👏👍👌🙂🙋🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
You're right I was considering BMAC, PRP and Bone grafting as the invasive methods and although initial BMAC research looks promising - especially since the stem cell type is more bioavailable and thus more potential for desired effect - BMAC is the newest of the bunch and studies are also controversial not to mention more expensive than PRP. But most advanced ortho surgeons who do LL know about it as a trump-card treatment so all 3 are probably an option at most centers
Great Video! I have a question. So I saw Xrays after the rod removal and I saw that the bones were not heald straight. The part where the bones got broken en lengthened has a wider bold looking exterior. It did not look natural, you can clearly see where it got lengtened. Is that Permanent? I hope this is understandable. I hope te hear from you!
Great question and you're right some hypertrophic growth or "wider" look where break was could sometimes stay a bit bigger but you can just say I broke my leg as it also does this. But in some cases it will shave itself down and look just like before but in lifters the mechanical stress can cause it to stay a bit bigger and just say you broke your leg
@@Cyborg4Life Thank you for you anwer! Its pretty interesting what youre saying. So there is also a chance that it could end with a natural look? And what do you actually mean by it will shave it self down? Thank you for you information again!
@@wkshrmgt3200 Sure, yeah that's right your bone could end up with a natural look and it's actually pretty likely. Bones constantly remodel themselves regularly so what you see 1 year after surgery might be completely different 2 years or more later.
Hi Viktor, what's will be the difference between left the titanium rods in leg (both upper and/or lower) or getting removed? Will it change athletic performance, function or health in the long term?
It will affect your top line performance due to the natural feel of your leg. I recommend getting it out unless you only walk. But if precice nail you must get it out due to magnet
So I am 161cm still young I will probably end at 165 or something what do you think is the max height I can gain without compromising health also can you talk about as to which country/place is gonna be the best value in terms of both pricing and caring
My leg, tibia bone is not started healing even after the 1 month of IM rod insertation through operation , what are the possible causes and what should I do?
Quick question, can the Precise nails do more than 80mm in length? My new goal is 8.5cm in the femurs, so 85mm, but I don’t want to do the external method because of the deep scarring. It’d be awesome if the internal nail could do slightly more, an extra 0.5cm. Is this possible?
@@Cyborg4Life what if after 80mm of distraction the screws are removed, and the nail is retracted by 5mm, and then the screws are put back in? Technically there would be more room for length, right?
I thing it worth it. Its have no side effects. You can combine it with walking and all the other regular recovery methods, then add the peptides and recover much faster and better with no side effects
If you mean while you're lengthening/early consolidation - just avoid anything that would cause harm to your healing bones bc they're your first priority
Huge upgrade in quality and content in this video. Great job Vic

O método preciso e a solução. A dor intensa se dar por ter uma ferida aberta que não consegue cicatrizar por conta da unha externo.
As always very informative. Thank you!

It's been done safely before so it's possible but like Marius said a year in between is ideal for best outcome
