      Yessir, I have several thousand miles on my H2 and I flashed the ecu myself using the woolich software. You should give it a look, makes flashing the H easy and it’s a very neat process to learn to do yourself. With just a slip on and a flash she will make well over 240hp to the wheel. WHEEE! 👍🏽

    And when you replace that heavy exhaust they way she flicks from side to side in transitions is magical, I set my rear shock up properly for my weight, sag at 29mm front, 28mm rear. Gives the bike a stable and confidence inspiring feel at any lean angle. I can regularly hit 48 degrees of lean on the street on my familiar roads. :) the lean angle sensor remembers your lean angles. Pretty sweet.

    6 weeks for 600 miles! You're racking up the miles even slower than me! But then I've only got the one bike! :D Glad you're already planning the mods out mate. I know they're VERY different animals, but going up from a 50 to a 55 really livened up the steering on my horse. Amazing that such a small change can have such a pronounced effect. I even shelved the rear end jack up kit that I had ready to go because of it! Based on your history so far though, I'd recommend going for the softer seat before anything else! It's rich not because of heat but to keep preignition, detonation, from happening. Leaning it out will definitely make more power, but a few seconds detonation with a supercharger can grenade your engine. My friends with a 1.8T VW found that out the hard way

    Nice vid & good to see you've started enjoying the bike after the tank debacle. Things like that can sometimes sour ownership but it's such a special bike, it was just a blip. Also made me genuinely lol when you said about releasing 240+bhp at the rear wheel. Absolutely bonkers. You could tell when you were riding back that you were barely scratching the surface of it. So did the Rozzers lol. Good to see they had better things to do than let you by then pull you, which I have come across before. On a bit of a random note, one thing I really hate is when car drivers try & wave you by, usually on blind bends.....& usually when something's coming in my experience!

    Although the H2 has a surprisingly upright seating position (even more so than a Hayabusa or ZX-14R), I agree wholeheartedly on the discomfort which can be induced from the firm seat and from one's body weight resting on their wrists after just a short ride. To reduce the tingly sensation in your hands, try this Handlebar Weight Set--which is one of the few Kawasaki genuine accessories for the H2. They are the exact same size, shape, and design (with nine holes) found on the stock bar ends, except they are solid metal and weigh 125 grams each versus the stock ones which weigh a mere 45 grams each. (I weighed them out precisely on a digital kitchen scale). Another note of difference: they have a dark gray matte finish instead of the glossy black finish found on the stock ones. I watched my dealership's mechanic switch them out in about one minute using a Number 6 Allen wrench. (Fortunately, the original bar ends are not lock-tighted in, and no oiling of the threads for the new ones is necessary per the included instruction packet). I found they reduce the numbness in my hands about 80%, and so are well worth the price. My local Kawasaki dealership ordered them in and sold them at a slightly discounted price of $85 (versus MSRP of $104.95), so hopefully your local dealership's price should be around 68 pounds....www.kawasaki.com/accessories/item/handlebar-weight-set/999941047

    I would hate having to "break-in" a bike in, as I have no self control. Good for you Chops!
    Also not sure how hard it would be, but ever since I heard these with non-intercooled, I'm eeen curious how much more power this bike would make with E85, as it's a much "cooler" fuel, and would allow higher boost/timing, and is used as a intercooler in boosted applications.

    • @LambChopRides
      @LambChopRides  5 лет назад

      Yeah not sure on the E85 question, you can buy intercooler kits but seems it just runs a radiator with cold water feed in the airbox which the charged air passes through the fins.. Not a true intercooler where the charged are is in the radiator and cooled.

    Look how horizontally mounted the levers are on the H2 are, ie typical Kawasaki to do that. If the fairing does not get in the way when turning then lower/tilt the levers a bit more down so that your wrists do not get so stressed. Your arms are naturally in an angle and the levers should be that as well, and not be in horizontal position for comfort. If you sit high up and your arms are in a horizontal way to the handlebars then naturally the levers should also be horizontal but when you are leaned forward, well...
    But I am certain that the levers have a dimple or a hole to match the clippon as it was on my kawasaki, so filling down the dimple is a must, and of course the "mod" must work with the fairings.

    • @LambChopRides

      Yes dont listen to Mat for everything, Brock has some incredible detailed mapping videos and you will see he does know his stuff. Its very easy to pick and poke fun at something somebody said out of context. I watched those videos and he was talking about reducing drag on the brakes for drag racing not recommending you do the same for road riding. Theri Gixxer project is a drag bike only

    I think Kawasaki should have given this bike a better [comfortable] riding position similar [say] to the ZZR 1400.

      Thats the H2 SX, that's the ZZR1400 replacement, the H2 is the sports bike version.

    It’s a shame in my opinion that you are treating this like a normal bike, and modding it , they are so rare , and exclusive , and cost a lot of money, a friend of mine has bought one and never rode it , it sits in a heated garage , in 10 or 15 yrs guess it will be worth a few bob more, than it was new , either way can’t blame ya , you paid the money and own the beast , so what you do to it , is your choice cheers Shane uk 🇬🇧

      I didnt buy this bike as a garage queen, I told myself if I buy this it will be used. Im not going far with the mods, just unlocking the bikes real potential really, I have no plans for any bolt on parts other than stuff to make it more comfortable.

    If kawasaki designed the TBs to be opened 33% at full throttle its for a reason, and if its rich its for a reason. Why spend all that money and think you can do it better than than that little company Kawasaki heavy industries? You got stiffed with that map before that was killing your engine because the cylinders were all running differently. Why not just leave it and enjoy it.. And stay safe

    • @LambChopRides
      @LambChopRides  5 лет назад +1

      There are a number of reasons why Kawasaki would limit the bike, probably just so they are seen as being a responsible manufacture and not criticized for releasing a crazy power bike for road use. Another reason could be insurance, no insurance companies would insure a 250 hp road bike.
      I suspect the reasons its restricted are more political than any mechanical limitations as many people have removed these restrictions without issue.
