    Really considering getting the Josh OP cutting course but I’m brand new and was curious if you guys would recommend it for new barbers? I’ll be starting school in June but want to be able to get down with shears too.🔥 great cut, Sean. Love your videos man.

    • @Seancutshair
      @Seancutshair  4 месяца назад +1

      I would say yes. It is definitely a little advanced but starting with that knowledge vs learning it late and having to break old habits

      @@Seancutshairright on man, thank you very much! I guess I can’t say I’m brand new. I’ve been studying a lot and understand a bit but just haven’t cut much of anyone else very much. Been cutting my own hair for years and some friends/family for the past year or so. Been watching guys like you on RUclips as well so thank you, Sean!🙏🏽

    I’m gonna either buy the course or go to the class in September, or both. But tbh. I just don’t see any reason for me to use this technique that often. I can do the same thing shear over comb in 1/2 the time. I would say with about 90% same precision.

    • @Seancutshair
      @Seancutshair  4 месяца назад +1

      Couldn’t disagree more! You’ll use it more than you know! The level of precision here is next to none. Plus it’s more for scissor work, longer length cuts, and having control over the hair.

      @@Seancutshair Thanks for replying. And thanks for the videos. I actually have been incorporating some of what I’ve seen you doing with this technique. I am open minded if nothing else. I definitely want to take the class. I wanna soak up some of that energy if nothing else!!

      Would you guys recommend it for literally brand new barbers? I’ll be starting my barber school in June but really want to have a good understanding for sheer work as I already understand some fading systems.

  • @RyanAlca
    @RyanAlca 3 месяца назад

    I have a question I don’t know if you’ll be able to answer here but I’ll try. I’m in the OP online academy and the one year fundamentals course is almost done. I’ve seen a lot of DFS educators using the foundation and a second guideline like you did here but it hasn’t come up in the tutorials and I’m almost done with the course. Is it in the long hair month? I’m almost there, still in the pompadour month

    do you happen to have any other shear recommendations other than the fresh shears which are still kinda pricy

    • @Seancutshair
      @Seancutshair  8 месяцев назад

      That’s definitely not pricey most other brands are $300 up to $1500. I don’t know that you’ll get anything remotely decent for less than $100
