I just feel like you save so much more time by using scissor over comb on anything longer than a two guard…no guesswork just adjust angle of comb to get the desired length
Sean my Wahl premium guards and the style craft dub guards SCREAM and rattle on my lopro one. The only guards that don’t rattle on them are the Babyliss guards. Even swapped out the blue blade for the wedge blade. Same thing.
It's all about fading downward, I prefer to use the 45 degree law- 1.5 break open blade meet with 1 clipper over comb corner blending then bald out. Shape boom
Sean, question for you bro. What kind of shears do you use? I’ve been watching your content a lot lately and noticed your shears with the green handle. Looking to get a set myself. Keep up the content man!
On every client you cut ? Or a specific client ? There’s gonna be some people who’s hair doesn’t grow in the same direction as the other side of their head . If that’s the case , I would suggest paying attention to the growth pattern of the hair and cut accordingly 👍🏽
Most of the time people have a “good” side and a “bad” side. I feel like the second side on this cut turned out better than the first. Just how it is sometimes
Heey Sean, thanks for replying to my other comment! I just need ONE MORE answer because I feel like this next question will absolutely determine what I fking do with my life. Take as long as you need to see this and reply 😭 but Some quick context. I have very supportive parents and im so lucky, but i feel like, although becoming a teacher is my dream along with barbering, it seems as though becoming a teacher became my "moms dream" as well and of course I see it as simply her wanting the best for me and all, and along with the achievement of graduating, but I just feel like she doesnt really see the passion I have for barbering. And so now, what I need help with is basically just coming to a decision. I feel like I just lack the confidence in my abilities and if you wanted to see pictures just let me know, maybe you could offer up some tips, open to all kinds of criticisms lol but anyway, if the owner of the shop ends up thinking im good enough, should I take the job?!?! I mean I need to save up for tuition too anyway and for getting license after Uni. So instead of getting a different full time job, should I just believe in myself and take the risk? At the moment, I only have about 20 regular clients and I charge $20 full service. So more or less 400 a month but remember, this was a hobby I started in high school because i didn't want to be broke lol. Man i dont know. People say to take risks when young but its definitely scary when you dont know if the outcome will be what you wanted? I dont know.
Just a random barber here, but I feel like it’s harder for others to see the potential in barbering because they see it as “just cutting hair”. Follow Marvy Marv, he just did a live with bossio talking about how much you can potentially do as a barber. Very insightful and my be the info you need to make your decision.
Take all the risks right now that you don’t have many responsibilities like a home, children, etc cause it becomes a lot more difficult to become a full time barber when you do have all that in the way. You don’t make bank your first year cutting hair, it’s a long journey but it pays off, this definitely isn’t the industry to jump into if you want to make a quick buck. What keeps me motivated is the fact that I do enjoy cutting hair, and I’m also seeing improvements every month.
@markgonzalez6016 i appreciate the wisdom man. Glad to know that the barbering community is so damn supportive like for real. Ill copy and paste the original comment the Sean himself replied to for some context.
EDIT: ORIGINAL comment that Sean replied to. Okay so I was rocking the corded seniors, and 2 cordless magic clips for the longest time and I just copped 2 of these gold versions, and let me tell you something. This is the fastest I have ever cut hair with my best quality I'd say. I'm genuinely impressed but it does make me wonder "how much" better these other brands are like BabyLiss and Gamma/SC, because these Gold Magic Clips impressed the hell outta me. I'm not a licensed barber, but I've been cutting hair since Grade 10 in high school. Oh and funny story, I sent my resume to a local barbershop, and I did include the fact that im not licensed and that I had my doubts and worries because of simple things like, fear of new clients, as in, "Would I be ablee to give them what they want?" type of feeling but, the owner of the shop seemed like they were insisting that I come for an interview anyway in person. Maybe they liked my energy because I told them that, "If the lack of having a license changes anything, I'm willing to simply volunteer and or just sit and watch to learn the flow." Maybe they liked how eager I am? I am a Uni student in the Faculty of Education, Majoring in English and Minoring in Psychology. My dream is to teach English in Japan and maybe own a barbershop one day.
I hate it when I say tapers, but barber always cutting it too high, I even showed him an actual picture, it's just a simple slicked back low taper, nothing special, but can't even do it
I travel all over the country and no matter what you tell a barber, want a low temp low taper they will always take it too high no matter what you ask, tell them, show them, I don’t get it.
Can you show the difference between a regular fade and a fade blending into bulk?
The fade is the same, just connects to more hair if there’s bulk, easier to connect if it’s short on top
underrated barber teacher
Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I don’t disagree but that’s an easy way to ruin a haircut if you’re not very good with scissor over comb. Especially with difficult textures

Yeah that’s why I switched to the babyliss premiums

Always great work,bro

Awesome work and explanation Sean! 🙏
Glad you liked it!

FreshShears. I have a couple videos on them 👌🏻
@@Seancutshair thanks man! I picked up 2 pairs with your code 🤙
Every time i blend the sides the left side looks better than the right i don’t get why it’s doing that

Pretty clean!
Thanks!
fantastic! thank u sir
Welcome!
can you show us how to debulk pls
I debulk in most clipper videos just watch a few of those 👌🏻
How do you fix a taper thats two high?
Can’t fix it sometimes, just have to cut the rest of the hair down to fit the taper
What’s the best blade for detailing
That’s just preference
What do I do if my barber made my taper too high how do I fix my hair bruh
Let it grow back! All you can do
@@Seancutshair Thanks
Does everyone get the same brush used on them?
Yes but weekly cleaning will do the job. Just make sure your barber cleans you up w some after shave before getting out the chair
Yes but I sanitize it and open a new one every few weeks
I recommend a different hairstyle for ya boy lol
Not many options! I wish he would wear it longer like he used to
Is that your brother?
Nope lol heard it before though

I hate cutting that hair texture.
This is all I cut lol

I wouldn’t
My dude, I was going to say the same
This a mid taper in texas😅
Mid taper has some c cup imo. High taper = no c cup
That's the rule of thumb.
I consider the size of the client forehead and his receding hairline
first

Thank you for the Game bruv 🙏🏾🫶🏽
