Thank you for this, i have long been using kiln cookies, but not wadding. 🙂

I love these little tiny mugs!! The glaze is absolutely gorgeous as well. I make my kiln cookies as thin as possible so it takes much less clay as well as time and ware on the sanding disc!

I normally make mine very thin too but a few of these were made by my studio assistant (her first time) and ended up a bit thicker.

@@KaraLeighFordCeramics Awesome to have an assistant. I just spent 2 hours loading one shelf of my kiln and my back is killing me! I wish soooo badly I had an assistant.

Thanks for this video. Where is your diamond grinding dish from, and which grit do you use (I can see they come in different versions, I.e. 60, 120, or 240 grit). If I had to buy only one, which one would you recommend? Maybe it is unrealistic to think that I can buy one to use both for such type of rescue work and also for making smooth and nice bottoms.

Are you able to safely throw on the same wheel after sanding? How do you ensure all of the sanded bits are cleaned up?

yes, you just need to clean the wheel carefully afterwards (wear gloves to avoid splinters)

Thank you for the video! Is there any other way to sand the remains of kiln cookies without the wheel?

I wonder why you are not wearing a mask while grinding the glaze from base of the cups???

At about 3 mins in I explain why you want to always wet sand as this method captures all the dust in the water. I warn never to dry sand pottery.
