Didn't get to see either band on TV. Just watched the video and wow! The sound and musicianship were incredible! We love our Aggie Band but its completely different. Your fans are blessed to have that to look forward to halftime of every home game.
Thanks, @David Redding. That was so very nice of you to comment. I am proud graduate of PVAMU twice over (B.S. and M.S.). My son is a senior at TAMU but was raised attending PVAMU games and homecomings. He articulates your sentiments exactly to all of his friends at TAMU. He stresses that both bands are very different and each have their strengths. He does enjoy PVAMU band the most because it does not fail to entertain during halftime.
Good show PV nice representation of the HBCU band world....no one leaves halftime when a HBCU band hits the field ;) The Box (drumline) feature would have been the icing on the cake.
I was a student Prairie View A&M University from1994 until 1995. I Love the Marching Storm. I had chance to go in the practice room where the Marching Storm held practice.
well PVAMU is the 1st institution for blacks, second institution of Higher learning in the State of Texas started in 1876 five years after TAMU. Written in the State constitution during the reconstruction era after the civil war!!
IamJesusWalks no but we do promote it saying that we are accepting donations to reach the amount money needed to travel to new york and to pay for housing for all the students and staff and to pay for our food while we are there. you probably cant hear it in this video but in other halftime shows where we did the "Macys" show our announcer spoke about it or you can find it on the pvamu website
I was at TAMU back in 1990. Visiting team, possibly LSU.. PVAMU band is one of my fondest memories. You folks are Awesome.
Saw this band when I was a student at Texas A&M in 1990 right there in Kyle Field. That was one hell of a show with break dancing drum majors
Great job, guys. One of the best bands to ever come to Aggieland.

Little known fact: Prairie View is the ONLY HBCU in the Texas A&M System.
another unknown fact pv is the oldest institution in texas,
2nd Oldest behind Texas A&M. It is the oldest HBCU in Texas.

I simply said PV is the 2nd oldest BEHIND TEXAS A&M which is the oldest... nothing about Texas A&M being a HBCU.... gosh
+quadarius higgins he was saying that PV is in the Texas A&M system. Which really means them and Texas A&M are ran by the same ppl basically

Texas A&M has been hearing Entertainment Tonight for a while now 😂 #Respect #Tradition

I mean could u even understand what dance songs they played. Hmm we can't play and dance at the sametime?
They're very popular songs, most people know the songs.
+CaMeron Pride uh what songs did they play ?? Lol I knew boogie wonder land
Lol that's why I say Southern has the best dancers in the HBCU's

Was that supposed to say STORM? Because it was missing the "M"...
