What's worse than a horde of locusts? A gigantic man-eating praying mantis, released from a million years of deep, frozen sleep and ready to claw its way to world domination!

This is why Deadly Mantis is my favorite giant monster bug movie considering that it's got a giant praying mantis terrorizing humanity! Add to the fact that it's very creepy-looking for a giant bug monster makes it even more creepy and effective!

Just watched this on DVR last night having recorded it from the "Svengoolie" show, i love watching these old movies. when i was a kid in the 80s they showed "Creature from the Black Lagoon" in 3d and you had to go to a gas station and get the 3D glasses, watching that in black n white and 3d is what got me hooked on these old movies,

Almost all of that clip was from a documentary filmed in the 1930's. The Mantis producers just aded it to their movie. Notice the guy who will apparently eaten at the end is Asian, not Eskimo.
