I started a brand new Pinterest business account in January. I skyrocketed the second I began creating idea pins. Within 30 days I hit 137K impressions and really good engagement. I had no strategy or knowledge of Pinterest, I just put photos of my work out there via idea pins. The performance of the same content in an idea pin vs regular pins is insane. I got ONE impression on a regular pin and hit over 10K impressions with the exact same image using idea pins. All of these platforms have one thing in common-they are not predictable. Of all my beautiful work, an idea pin of a bouttonniere is my top performing content, not the more elaborate photoshoots.😅
Hi Anastasia! Thank you for your very clear and detailed video. I just wanted to update everyone on the fact that Pinterest stopped the rewards program in November 2022 and is not reopening it again. The only way you can earn money on Pinterest is with affiliate marketing if you tag commercial products on your pins and then the brand rewards you according to their program, not Pinterest directly.

That's a very interesting point, Caroline! I had a similar experience when I was running a free FB group for beginner bloggers. A ton of questions, a lot of work to communicate with people. And don't get me wrong, it was growing at a decent pace but it was 120% impossible to ever get passive or at least semi-passive. With Pinterest I've seen that I can get traffic from content and pins first published on Pinterest 2-3 years ago, it works as a search engine and keeps driving traffic from old pins.

From the newest update we can add our website link to idea pins right ? When we done designing to the idea pin, in the next step we have include title, website link, tags are etc right ?
Not all the accounts can add links yet to Idea pins but on those accounts that already have it in beta, it added the link field so they can start getting actual traffic to specific content on their sites from Idea pins.

Hi Gregory! It's beneficial to repin from others pins that rank high for the focus keyword in your NEW boards. About 30 repins per board is all that you need and you can do it when the board is new, in the first week or two. Then you can focus on your own pins without repinning from others.

Just went through the painful process of downloading every single page as video of my 10 slides idea pin 🤮... Sure, one option is to put pages together, but that is not userfriendly.
Hi Daniel! What do you mean by downloading the slides, are you downloading them from Canva, is that what you mean? In that case, you can select to download all the pages there is a checkbox at the top and it will select all the pages. When you upload images on Pinterest to create an Idea pin, you can choose on your device a batch of images or videos and they'll get uploaded at the same time. Just wanted to warn you that adding 10 slides in an Idea pin is not helping you get better results. You will be better off with just 2-3 slides because users will have to slide only a few times to get to the Follow button or visit your profile.

So now I have downloaded all Canva pages in one video, and could basically use it as idea pin and also video pin. Hi Doreen! That's an interesting point! I would assume that not many people in your niche started creating Idea pins yet that could be the reason. If so, you could experiment with them to see if your own Idea pins would show up due to low competition.
Trying to create an idea pin has been the most ridiculously god-awful experience I've had online in a long long time. First of all, having the same Pinterest app for Android on both my tablet and my phone, I find it absurd and insulting that I can't create an idea pin on my tablet, I have to transfer all the videos to my phone before I can even create the pin. It's as if someone designed this thing to be as difficult as possible on purpose. Thanks a lot Pinterest. Second, uploading these videos has no progress bar to indicate when it's complete. It took me less than 15 minutes to create all the videos for my pin. It has now taken hours, all morning, multiple crashes of the Pinterest app, and I'm still nowhere close to even uploading one video for this pin. As for the user interface in the app for creating these pins, the file selector to select your videos and pics doesn't show the file name and there's no way to sort by date so if you have a lot of videos, good luck picking the right ones in the right order. Who tested this thing? And we're not even talking about something lengthy here. A dozen videos that are mere seconds each. God forbid I got creative and wanted to do something longer. How anyone makes this work is beyond me.

You can make money from anywhere in the world using Pinterest traffic and driving it to your website. you can also add affiliate links to your pins living anywhere in the world. The only new feature that currently is only available in the US and UK is Creator Rewards program, it has certain requirements to get accepted to it, not all the users in the US and UK can use it as well. Just those that qualify, if you are interested for future reference when the program becomes global, I recommend you to read the requirements for Creator Rewards program.

Send people to your free tutorials but don't miss a chance to invite them to your email list and from there you can sell your paid lessons / course.
Idea pins don’t have links through to your website. I wasted a lot of time doing them. Why do you think they’re good? They slowed down my traffic extremely.

Can we schedule idea pins via tailwind?
Nope. Moreover, you can't schedule them using Pinterest native scheduler either. I guess, that's why you also can't do it on Tailwind
I think idea pins might be geared more towards some niches then others. My niche is dragons and I rarely see idea pins in my feed.
