As a Muslim woman, Hijab is definitely for setting boundaries. It's like "Hey, not everything of me is for the world to see. There's something that i'd like to keep to myself and God." In a society that's so dictative on how girls should look like Korea, it's a way for her to say No, i will not dress to please you Humans, i want to dress to please myself and God. It's a powerful act of boundary and they just decided to violate that in the plot. I'm curious on what happens next so i will watch the rest of the series though.

I really think in such a case doing hijrah or moving another country where it isn't prohibited is an obligation upon the Muslims living in France.
