@ThePhilvantwo If you put the track on the finish side or the side with the part you want to keep, then you put the track right on the line or marks you have.
If I had a bunch of material built up in the guard or forgot to adjust the depth gauge. I know some guys will take the guard completely off to prevent build up
This is the Dewalt 60v Tracksaw. I use it for many applications such as cutting down doors and also when we cut out our picture frames on our decks. What other tasks would you use this for?
Hey man. That's exactly how i install doors too. They are so much easier to manage in smaller pieces.
Way easier to maneuver up tight stair cases
Are you serious? What about the seam, can you see it?
@@indasfvalley he’s joking
@@mountaintopremodeling hahahaha, he got me 🤣
@@indasfvalleyall i can say is wow
Good grief! How tall is your new carpet?
😂😂 bouta foot
Can you still buy shag carpet. Or do you use 2 inch underlay?
Deeeeeeeeeeeeeep shag 🤣
I didn't know they had a vacuum version that you don't need clamps to keep it in place. Cool.
This just has foam/rubber that keeps the track from sliding around
How far away from the cut line do you have to put the track please? Thanks
I usually hold it off 1/32-1/16 but you'll have to get a feel for your saw and makes adjustments as needed
@@mountaintopremodeling Hi, thankyou for your reply!
@@ThePhilvantwo No problem at all my friend!

Would you recommend this track saw?
Have you had the plunger get stuck where it want plunge at all?

What model saw is this?
So satisfying
So just how big is the dog? That you cut half the door.
So what stops the track from sliding?
Think Clifford size
What stops the track moving?
It has rubber/foam on the bottom side that is pretty grippy. You can also clamp it down
@@mountaintopremodeling that makes sense, thank you. If the choice is clamping, are clamps included with the purchase?
@@bjohnston3659 I don’t believe mine came with clamps but I’m sure you can buy a set that comes with them or even get some cheap aftermarket ones
Whats the price on this?
@@taiforsey9975 about $500
Yes it can cut a hollow door in half
It can cut a lot of things in half. Even hardwood butcher block
I didn’t see the 2x6 underneath, I was hoping it would kick back and cut the track.
Why would you hope that?

How does it keep from sliding?
@@alfredoibarra9825 there’s foam/grippy strips on the bottom of it. They also make special clamps for it but the pads works really well
And this video helps how. Already dozens of vids on this saw guide.
@@Ericbjohnston5150 other people may haven’t seen them. I actually have 2-3 others in the pipeline so stay tuned. Thanks for stopping in
Dewalt wants to charge like festool
Festool oh yeah….
What stops the track from sliding over ?
There’s foam/rubber on the underside
