This presentation can be used to revise or teach English contractions. Before your class plays this quiz, I recommend explaining the concept first. There are five exercises designed to check their knowledge.
Exercise 1 (5 points): Common Contractions Recognition - Identify the words that form these contractions in ten sentences.
Exercise 2 (5 points): Common Contractions Usage - Form contractions from the given words in ten sentences.
Exercise 3 (5 points): Identify what these contractions represent - do they indicate possession, or do they stand for 'is' or 'has'? Answer in ten sentences.
Exercise 4 (5 points): Editing - Spot the missing contraction and place it correctly in five sentences.
Extension Exercise 5 (10 bonus points): Complete the sentences with the missing contractions.
