If you change the SD card does the lost dir from the old SD card still stay lost on the new SD card ?
No, Lost dir files are stored on the same memory card. If you had lost files on SD card then you won't find them on your new SD card after inserting in your phone.

It means there is nothing that it can rename files. Or You can add extension by yourself and try one by one to extract your data.
Hey buddy Sorry but You have to use Data Recovery App in order to Recover all your Music, videos, pictures, etc.
Remember Data Recovery Apps are mostly Designed for Rooted Phones. Without Root there is very less chance that App will work. So You Can use.. Dr. Fone or Disk Digger APK and install it to Recover your Stuffs. Also remember it will only Recover your Stuffs if you haven't Trimmed Your SD Card or Phone storage yet. So give it a try and if you don't understand you have to wait for videos for about a week because i'm sick now.

Then Manually Rename them yourself and check if it works or not. Files sizes with 500KB-5MB could be your photos and music also so try renaming yourself. If file sizes are large then it means those are video files. So add .mp4 for the extension while renaming.

No, It's not true. The files or your photos are still there and chances are you are gonna get them but to recover them you need Root Access, without it It's not possible to recover any of your photos. And if the photos are fragmented In your SD card or Internal even if you recover them the actual Image will be blank because It depends in your phone how much deleted data can it store and for how many days. If you are about to recover your Photos from SD card then try using PC method. Download any photos recovery tool or you can get pirated one. Then install do as the instructions tell you to. If you are unable to use that software then check about ut on RUclips or Google or any forums.

Follow the Video Tutorial properly it should work.
Copy Lost.DIR folder files from SD Card to Internal Storage. If there is already a Lost.DIR Folder in Internal Storage Paste all files that you copied from SD Card Lost DIR Folder Files.
If you don't already have Lost.DIR folder in Internal Storage Create a Folder with Same name and follow the Letter Capital and Small letters as it is in SD Card Lost Dir folder.
Paste the files and Open Lost Dir App and scan the files and recover them.
It doesn't work for me please help.
Rename files manually and check. Add extension to the file .jpg .png or .mp3 .mp4 and check for yourself and see if it works.

Deleted files are hard to recover. If you have deleted from SD Card then watch my latest video how to recover using Disk Drill. If you deleted from phone then there is no way... If you had enable Backup option in Google Photos or Any backup App then check there...

If you deleted from Phone storage then its not possible to recover. But if you have deleted from SD Card then it is possible to recover those files but not 100% guaranteed but there is 90% recovery rate.

It doesnt identified any of the picture.
That means there are no pics to get identified. You can also do it manually by yourself....
Just rename the file with .jpg or .png for example... Flower is file name so just add this extension, ( Flower.jpg ) without the brackets. So check it by yourself that you think that it could be a picture.

Ooh... I understood. That means those files are of 0kb. Those are just empty files or may be they are not picture they are maybe other files.
@@LiNexNeo I transfer my picture from internal storage of phone into sd card. And the pictures were missing. And I discover that lost.dir file had increase in storage usage. I move the lost.dir file into laptop. And when I changed the ? files into .jpg , it turned into picture icon. But when i open it, it says the picture might be crack, corrupted or too large.
Check the file size...? If the size shows 0kb then its just leftover... And If the file sizes are large.. then maybe they are not Picture files. They might be your Music aur Videos.

Ridiculous the app only reads from internal memory, so you have to copy from SD. So if lost.dir size is bigger than available internal storage space... you're basically screwed.
Move your Memory Card to another phone that has much more space in internal. You can borrow your friend's phone or from your family member. This method really works. It has worked for me.

Then I can't do anything bro... This was the only last option. And it is not possible to recover deleted files without Root. But if it was in your SD Card then you can recover it using PC Recovery Softwares.

Manually rename and add extension like .jpg or .png or .mp3. Also you have to check it by yourself and test if it works or not. Very lengthy process by doing manually but you will get your files.
