Adding a Faucet to a 55 Gallon Water Barrel

I have the 55 Gallon Barrel, but in blue. I wonder how heavy it is when loaded with water. I guess that shelf that you have the barrel on would have to be reinforced with all the heavy water in the barrel. Great trick with the string.

I think water is about 8+ pounds a gallon. So these barrels are about 440 pounds each when completely full. The self is industrial and seems to hold it fine when full.

Yeah it took me a bit to find it. Here is a link to amazon for a similar one. I bought mine at Lowe's. It is also called a bulkhead I guess.

Car detailing? For sure. You could use a brass bulk head fitting for strength as well.
