Check for cracks in fuel line and make sure the arrow is pointing straight back so the lines in the fuel tank and are positioned correctly. More than likely sounds like your spark arrestor. I just installed a new carburetor on my fs 46 and it runs better than my newer fs 50.
Just adjust the carburetor correctly i have the fs45c with the easy start yours sounds like you have the running knob right just adjust the idle and correction one correctly and it will run don't touch the top left its for full throttle. Philips head screwdriver is all you need just got mine so good it will start with one pull hot or cold without choke only lil bit throttle and eill run idle just sitting in the yard until tank is empty. By the way its 17 years old never changed nothing only cleaned spark plug.
Thank you for the video. I observed it was suffocating - you can check the gas filter (it is the tube going to the gas thank. The is a rubber seal to the entrance of the thank, prize it out (it comes off easily) and pull it out - the gas filter is attached. Blow is out with pressure air. If it still hesitates and cuts off, the problem is most likely, the carburetor needs a simple adjustment. The re are two adjustment screws on the carb. The first one is the fast idle and the second one is just behind that fast idle adjustment screw. Screw them both right in (do not force when U reach the end) Then back both of them out one and one-quarter turn. Start the engine and hold it a full-throttle then adjust the fast idle (the first screw) slight in and out to a comfortable idle - if the cutting string keeps turning - slightly adjust the fast idle (the outer screw). good luck neville sukul.
(In some, if not most cases) Ethanol can be the related issue as well (even though nearly all bargain brand gas stations carry E10 Gasoline, but still can slowly damage your engine). If you try using non-ethanol gas (or TruFuel 50:1), you worry less, for sure. Even E10 can slowly rot your carburetor, too (in which dirt can enter your engine without warning). I actually stopped at the local auto shop that carries non-ethanol gasoline, and I only use non-ethanol gas in my equipment. Thats why I always use Non-ethanol gasoline for my lawn equipment and TruFuel in my 2-cycle equipment.
Ethanol can also be the issue result in costly repairs. I used E10 gas mixed with oil in my FS-94R and it nearly ruined it. 100 bucks to fix it, new carb, Spark arrestor, fuel filters, due to a hole in carb. This time I always use TruFuel in my weedeaters and never recommend using ethanol products in these engines again.
It's a partial main jet blockage man. Remove the mixture screw limiter caps. Turn the mixture screw nearest the air filter counter clockwise in 1/4 turn increments untill it will rev up. . If they are the resessed ones, you can cut notches into them with a Dremel or fine hacksaw blade. Same thing counter clockwise, mixture screw nearest the air filter. All you'd be doing is giving the engine the fuel it's starving for. The engine is running too lean sir.
I have a straight shaft damn thing ran like crap from new always bogging down, tried everything, time for a new carb I’m guessing. Checked spark arrestor, it’s ok. If I put starbrite in tank with no gas pull it over few times let it sit over nite, put fresh gas it runs better. But don’t want to do that each time I use machine
*Love it. Multi-tool compatible (attachments sold separately) Bestfor.Garden also recommend split shaft function allows to easily convert to a trimmer and Pole Pruner.*vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv

I had one that the plastic intake manifold was cracked causing to much air to be sucked in.
Don’t read it up when the engine is cold like that it causes it to die

Richen the high speed mixture screw! Just look it up! it'll save save you money in a shop!!!
Stihl no better than a homelite.
Sounds like an exhaust restriction.
Was there a fix somewhere in here that I missed?
He explains slowly and he is clear
Fuck him.
Bro
if you sill have this unit check the spark arrestor...it may be clogged...
I’ll have to try that , thanks
What’s better 38 or 45
45
@The Lawn Kid is the fs55 the best?
E drug kaki su to trimeri
Dumping fuel in the yard !?! 😞
Clean your spark arrester. I can’t believe you’re in that business and don’t know how to fix your equipment. Terrible video by the way.
