Is it true that Cubans in Miami are staying here when they somehow could go back to Cuba? How would that be possible? Is it true that the Cubans in Miami are not even *allowed* to go back to Cuba? Is it true, in line with what the character Jesus Bernal said, that Cubans in the USA prefer to live here in complacency instead of living in their mother country and would never go back there, even if Cuba became a democratic country? Could Hiassen, through character Bernal, be correct about this?
