    So happy to see him coming back with incredible recovery! Let's go Novak!

  • @BrotherTree1
    @BrotherTree1 6 месяцев назад +110

    He had a meniscus surgery and then 3 weeks later, he goes and does this. Just insane. GOAT for a reason. He's in the mix for Wimbledon if he can sustain this level and continue to make progress.

      Goes and does what exactly? Beats Medvedev on grass? That is no test I’m afraid. He lost his set to Sinner which is more realistic. He won’t be in the mix for Wimbledon…

      I think Novak had a meniscectomy (removal of the meniscus), in which case, the speed of his recovery makes sense. It appears that Novak was deliberately avoiding putting weight or pressure in his knee. I suspect he will apply weight on his knee once he needs too.

    С такой игрой Дане даже выход во вторую неделю не факт, что светит... Новак, после травмы и операции, закрыл его в эконом-режиме, словно середняка из второй половины сотни.
    Хотя подавал Новак, конечно, блестяще. С такой подачей у него будут реальные шансы против Карася и/или Грешника.

    I hope Djoker will reconsider competing at Wimbledon,
    cuz his knee is obviously not ready for that kind of stretching, running, sliding, etc.
    His serve is great, but his movement isn''t.
    And if he's about to compete at the Olympic games, too,
    risking BOTH tournaments with a possible serious injury really isn't worth it...

    Does Wimbledon also pay Appearance Fees for athletes who attract ticket sales? And would an organizer even admit this? I dont think it’s a bad idea. It can boost ticket sales and I would love to watch a famous or legendary player even if he doesnt win.
    A piece by Roddick opened my eyes to the possibility that maybe even the bigger events do this too. It is a business, after all.
    Coz to me, this could explain why Djokovic is pushing himself to play even when he isnt at 100%.
    Of course he doesnt need the money but what if there is a binding 5-yr contract? Or he just needs to play one or two matches then retire…
    Not saying that he is. Playing a scenario in my head and Just curious….
