Didn’t realize until rewatching: at the beginning, at 0:26 the arrow is pointing not just to the cider but also to Jean Kayak. After he spends the first half of the movie freezing in the woods, he does indeed get stronger!
I think it's foreshadowing the cider being used by the beavers as fuel for their rocket
The guy crushing the tankard on his face like a beer can was the first laugh out loud gag of the movie for me.
This movies gonna be held up as one of the best comedies alongside Kung Pow and Airplane!

@@king_dot it's from Steve Odenkirk (Jimmy Neutron movie, those weird thumb parodys, etc) and it has a lot of the same energy, he took a lot of old scenes from obscure kung fu movies and green screened himself and the actors into the movie

Fun fact: This is just what happens the first time you get super drunk in the Midwest. Cartoon fur trappers and all.
in a world that's getting increasingly more saturated with quick, cheap, AI generated garbage it is genuinely heartwarming and inspiring to see human-made content that is filled to the brim with creativity, passion, and drive. I think that's why I love this movie so much; it's an active protest to the current state of media these days while also being a hilarious and fun movie.
This is better than any “best original song” winner of the last decade.

I want a version of this with slightly clearer enunciation. Love the song but it's pretty hard to tell what they're singing, even when I watched it in the theater.

Saw this on Tubi. One of the most creative movies I have seen in years. The most funny movie in the past decade at least.
This is the funniest movie I've seen in years.
One thing that threw me with this movie both times I've watched it is how I had a hard time understanding the lyrics to this song. I don't know if it was rough audio recording or what, but considering how important this song is to setting this character and his motivations up, yea, kind of a shame with the audio. At least I know what the lyrics are now!

This movie is so so so good. My son loves it too so I've seen it about 20 times now. This guy's other movie Lake Michigan Monster is very funny too and in the same vein, though it's not as slapsticky and has dialogue.
I’ve watched this at least ten times, and I just now noticed he threw the apple in the basket after he took a bite out of it. I have GOT to see this movie 😂

This song is great but the mix is terrible, I hope they one day re release the film with a new sound mix.
It's out on UK Blu-Ray on 5th Aug 2024. Fingers-crossed it'll have proper English Subs and clearer audio for that opening song. I couldn't understand it in the cinema, due to it being a really bad soundmix.
