If Chloe shows up, I’m sure they will keep it as a secret, I doubt they would reveal her in a trailer, they would prefer to surprise us.
That's exactly what I've been saying! I firmly believe she will be in the game in some way, but we will find out once we'll actually get to play it because I don't think they would tell us now 🥲

I think so too. Everyone with the ultimate edition gets to play the first and second chapter 2 weeks earlier. Maybe (it's just a feeling) we will be left with a cliffhanger at the end of the second chapter with Chloe showing up to get people more excited for the full release

My theory: In the original game is where MAX'S ability to split reality into diffrent timelines first takes place. That's why the end is 2 choices destroy Arcadia and save Chloe or let Chloe die and save Arcadia. I suspect that both endings are cannon and both of the 2 realities we will see in double exposer will be either or. One where Chloe alive and one where she's not. Wich will further complicate the death of Sophi. Maybe in the reality where Sophi died Chloe has been dead for years and the death of Sophi brings her powers rushing back with the memories of Chloe and not being able to save her. When she jumps into the other reality and Sophi is alive maybe she will run into Chloe there ad well and "expose" to Max that she's done this before and no matter how she tries there will always be dier consequences beyond her control.
I could even see a bit in the alternate reality or vice versa...where she has to go back to Arcadia and sees that it's completely destroyed or like i previously suspected sees that chloe is alive still depending on what reality she had been living in prior to Sophi's death and that could be like the final ah ha momment where she realizes she split realities long ago.

Could be that in LiS 2 where they are alive after the storm - is THE alternate reality and not an actual 100% canon (from Maxine's perspective due to being a traveler between realities meaning she has no "real and only" reality). Would really make things spicy because in the parallel reality in LiS 4 she could realize that that world has Chloe in it and we might get a reunion for them two. In such scenario our Max will be the one to replace "real" Max in the parallel world, just as the time she said in LiS 1 "I won't remember any of this happened, we absolutely should go to David...". Hope we won't get the version where Chloe was the first victim before Safi (meaning Safi knows both and knew Chloe) - reunion over Chloe's
@@Dark_Brandon_2024 I was actualy thinking about life is strange 2 after I wrote this and agree. It would have to be one of the 2 realities. Even in the DLC Wavelengths from LIS: TC where she has the internal diolauge over the buttons Chloe and Max made on the counter could be from and alternate timeline to Max. I feel like Chloe being dead in our Max's timeline in LIS:DE would make for the most emotional realization in the alternate reality. Where Chloe is alive and Arcadia is destroyed. From Max's perspective it would be soul crushing. I just hope they are on the same page cause it realy sucks when the actual thing doesn't live up to mild fan speculation. Here's to hoping. 🤞

The owl in the first game appears when Max finds the Dark Room in the barn, so it might symbolizes death, a change of state or even it could be Mr. Jefferson’s spirit animal.
Am I the only one who does not think that Max looks that different? Yes they improved her look with the new graphics, but I still feel she looks like Max.
She doesn’t look the same as the 1st LIS, but she still looks like the same person just not the same as in the og LIS. Like a person growing older and looking different but still looking like the same person, instead of liking like how that person was when he was 22 when he is 56 now. I hope this helps

Yeah I had a hard time seeing it tbh most of it was due to the graphical improvement but not only that the way she holds herself in that trailer she’s more mature as it should be since she’s an adult now. It took only at the end of the trailer to realize it was max and aside from me getting excited I was like “oh okay yeah I see her now”

The original Life is Strange was obviously inspired by Twin Peaks (which is Chloe's licence plate), and owl imagery is very prevalent in the TV show Twin Peaks. So, interesting to see the owl. But I don't think Chloe's dead, there's a brief shot of a character with a light blue toque (beanie) crouching down, which could be Chloe. Btw, Max mentions final fantasy in the first game, so that's fair.

@@MoMcCoyLive Probably grasping at straws. But Chloe wouldn't have blue hair. LiS was 2013. By LiS2 (2016) she had green hair. Apparently this game is set in 2022, so maybe after 9 years she's given up on dying her hair. But she obviously loves the colour blue (she painted her dresser with Max, got her dad to paint the house blue, then dyed her hair), and she's almost obsessively sentimental, so a light blue toque would make sense.
@@percyforsyth a lot of maybe tho. Probably could be her with a blue beanie, but very unlikely. She could have given up on dying her hair, but there isn’t any concrete way to know.

Did you notice the building behind Max at 0:21 in the trailer? The size and appearance corresponds to one part of the school or it looks like some kind of church. I think someone shot from that building, that's the reason why no weapon was found around - someone must have shot from a distance. And Safi was sitting right in front of that building.
You couldn't recognize Her Freckles? Her Crystal Blue eyes? Her Bangs? And why would the owl be Chloe? Her Spirit Animal from the First was Clearly the Blue Butterfly!!!

Max has a wedding ring on her left hand suggest that cloe and max got married. Chloe probably in south America working with young children that are poor. Because I believe when the two brothers talked to cloe step dad that. Both of them are happy together. Suggesting that max saved her best friend and went further than best freinds

The owl in LIS1 was heavily associated with Jefferson. It showed up whenever his 'true self' was revealed: both when Max and Chloe were about to discover the Dark Room, and also when Chloe was about to get shot and Max drugged & kidnapped. Perhaps it could just be a bad omen, but LIS1 was pretty big on spirit animals.
The doe/deer is clearly Max's (innocence is one thing that the deer represents, and we all know Jeffershit's spiel on Max's innocence. Compassion, intellect, caring, and subtlety are other things it represents--not really words that describe Rachel). Rachel was most likely using Max's *spirit* animal to try and communicate with her--it's less likely that Rachel's spirit animal was the doe, but she was using Max's spirit animal to communicate with her.
The owl is associated with wisdom, mystery, deception, stealth, and secrecy. Sounds like quite a dead ringer for Jefferson, to me... So why is the owl showing up so much here?

also saw it on twitter and taught it was a movie, BUT DAMN THE MOMENT THE WALL OF MAX'S AGAIN IS JUST WOW GOT GOOSEBUMPS (I also didn't recognize her at first because she was so different).
MAJOR SPOILERS ON WHAT I AM ABOUT TO SAY SO PLEASE DON'T READ IT IF YOU DON'T WANT ANY SPOILERS. AS FOR THE PEOPLE WHO READ THE COMICS AND PLAYED THE FIRST LIFE IS STRANGE GAME, YOU'RE GOOD TO READ THIS.
I will not dive into the full story of the comics but just the general part of Max having the ability to go into different realities. I've read this one a long time ago and never revisited it so if I have said something wrong, pls feel free to correct it.
So my theory goes that both the endings of Life is Strange is canon whatever you choose, because if you decided to sacrifice the Arcadia Bay, the story will continue in the comics as of early on she discovers that she has the ability to go into different timelines but she still doesn't have control over it yet, that is later in the comics with the help of Rachel, Chloe, and a guy (a new character).
In this trailer it is completely shown that the old aged Max (I think she's around 28-29 in the trailer), she just discovered that she has the ability to shift into another timeline so meaning that this is the Max that sacrificed Chloe, it is also hinted because she vowed never to use her powers again because of what it caused in Arcadia Bay and made the big decision to sacrifice Chloe. That's very much it for my theory that this is the Max that sacrificed her Chloe.

Maybe Chloe became friends with Steph in Before the Storm because she looks so much like Max?
To add more to the owl theory. Iv noticed Max has an Owl pin on her green jacket. Its even on the trailer thumbnail its just small. 🦉
Another small detail I noticed was it very well could just be a ring but Max does have a ring in her ring finger so who knows if that plays a bigger role. Maybe its from Chloe? I know alot of people are concered about not seeing Chloe but I have faith that even if its only very breif she will make an appearance some how in Double Exposure 🤞
I have a theory that Rachel will have a chance to come back to life, and have a happy life with Chloe and max.

If Chloe is part of the game, they won’t reveal her until very end because it takes away from the new story and new friendship with Safi they’ve created. I just mean everybody would be focused on Chloe, not Safi
As they should be. We've been wanting a Max and Chloe game, we've wanted a game about their relationship after the storm. We don't care about Safi. I have never seen anyone wanting a Max Caulfield game where she had a Chloe replacement.
I feel like if they give max her fringe back it would look a lot like her. The hair she has now is very similar to Stephanie's middle part. I understand looks will change as you age but it makes max really recognizable.
I’m sure the reason Chloe isn’t around is because the first game ended with you choosing to either save Chloe or Arcadia and the game will ask what you chose and that will decide whether Chloe is dead or alive somewhere else. They don’t want one of those choices to be more canon than the other.

i’m really disappointed about the whole ultimate edition thing,with getting the first 2 chapters early because i’m definitely not gonna be able to avoid the spoilers with how much i’ve interacted with the lis fandom and it sucks 😭, hopefully nothing too groundbreaking happens during those chapters :,)

Got the deluxe edition and cant wait. Personally i think chloe will be in the game some way or another. Honestly, I think the reason why they didn't reference Chloe in the trailer is because, based on the first game, you can't really make Chloe a main character in this one ... which is going to bother a lot of people. But think about it, based on how you played the first game, you either sacrifice Chloe or you sacrifice or Acadia Bay. So they had to make a game that did not revolve around either of those. Probably reference Chloe in the game somewhere, but it depends on how you played the original. I mean they did that with the second game and they only brought in Max and Chloe briefly as like a side thought. At the beginning of life is strange 2 they ask you, did you save Chloe or did you save Arcadia Bay, which affects how the game plays out. What I'm curious about is how are they going to handle a whole generation of people who never played the first game… Or are they just going to assume that nobody's going to jump in the middle?... the original game came out like nine years ago, so if you were nine years old, then you'd be like 18 now.
You're probably right that they are going to do it this way, but what bothers me about all of the games that argue that they can't have major scenes with characters that might be dead in a large number of characters playthroughs of previous games is that there used to be games that would have entire arcs for secondary characters that might have died or not have been brought in by the player in previous games and good portions of the playerbase would never see these scenes or arcs because of this, but they were there. I've been seeing games do this with multiple characters for at least 15 years and yet over the last few years I've been hearing more and more about how it isn't something that can be done.

Max's face is bizarre in the sense that there's scenes where you totally recognize it's her (all the shots of her close inside house) and sometimes where she doesn't.

then i watched the whole trailer etc and was like... WAIT! this supposed to be MAX?
they should at least adjust 1-2 things etc.

Finally someone else noticed the owl. I have a few theories and considerations I've formed so far:
At 1:33 in the bottom right hand corner we can see a picture of a dog and underneath it says "Chloe", and down to the right there's a photo of a town in Mexico (LiS2?) that seems to be called Merida. The dog in the picture that says Chloe kinda looks like Pompidou but I strongly doubt it's her, so maybe Max has a dog that she named after Chloe? And in the photo of the building at the bottom, right next to Max's body, we can see the same building from the beginning of the trailer: could it be Pan Estates? Back in LiS1 at some point there was a plan of Pan Estates that said "Lobby Level", and the shapes seem to match, so in this game Pan Estates could be finished? But that wouldn't make sense because the school in the game is not Blackwell (it appears to be called Caledon or Galedon University, as we can see at 0:35). And up above there's a photo of a red barn, like the barn from the first game that hid the Dark Room.
Also, in the trailer's ending (which is also the the thumbnail) Max is wearing a bunch of rings, which probably indicate a bond to someone, and she's wearing a bird-shaped pin, which is not really Chloe's bluejay as would be obvious, but it looks like an owl. The owl in the beginning of the trailer, so I think the owl could be someone's spirit animal: the trailer makes it seem like it's Max's, but we know from the first game that her spirit animal is the doe, so whose is it? Safi's? Don't know, we've never seen owls in Life is Strange except for the barn owl in the... well, barn, from the first game.
Plus at minute 1:31 in the bottom left hand corner there appear to be some bottles? THOSE bottles? They could be something else since they're out of focus and there's a picture of some bowling pins on the right, but I've never seen brown pins?
I noticed the polaroid titled Chloe too, not sure about that but very intriguing. and from what i can, remember poutro lobos (apologies for spelling) is the only mexican town we hear of in life is strange 2
Max only looks slightly different I don’t understand why everyone’s like shocked I mean she’s gonna look a little different considering the last time we saw her she was 18 and now she’s almost 30 💀 I believe in lis 2 she was 27 and Chloe was 28 since she’s older than max by a few months. Also my theory is Rachel is gonna be in the alternate timeline along with Chloe
