  • Hey besties! Come along this week as I work new locations and wrap up my time at the Yacht and Beach Club as a merchandise cast member. I also go to each of the parks one last time. Enjoy!

BTW, I know a guy who installed the original tree at Animal Kingdom. It was a real unique tree that looked very similar to the present fake one but when they were craning it in, it broke apart so they went with a fake one modeled almost identically to the broken real one. It would be almost impossible to find a real tree like that again.

Thanks! Interesting to see the last day. I wonder about the post Disney “depression” that guests and DCPers talk about.

I personally did not experience it - I was so excited to get back to school and my friends here! I miss Disney, but cannot really speak to “post-Disney depression” like some can☺️

I am so scared for that. I will be arriving in August and leaving in January. I'll be coming back to the start of the worse of winter and have to experience it for at least another three months, and then also have nothing to do because I live in a small town, and then go back to school. It's like a completely opposite lifestyle that I am scared I'm gonna feel that.

@@gabriellechouinard3738 I think it has to do with dopamine (stimulation) in the brain, and happens in many situations, both work and vacationers. As long as you know it is normal and goes away, maybe you can view it as a harmless side effect. I suspect anybody who experiences sustained excitement can have it (I did so in a similar manner after working on an Alaskan fishing boat) so Disney guests on RUclips who are only there for a week or two also say they experience it. Think about the amount of information and stimulation your body experiences then switches to a relative calm and lack of that stimulation. I know all of the RUclips CRPers who say they experienced it, which is almost all the YT CRPers, later look back on their Disney experience as something they wouldn’t trade so apparently the “post Disney depression” doesn’t affect long term memories of the experience.

@@bobdobb9017 thank you! Ya, I also experience it everytime I go on vacation in the winter. I always think about the next exciting things coming my way.
