@user-bb7vc1qd4n Precisely. I told my wife I wanted to buy a new Gibson Les Paul Custom...she said "what are you waiting for then?" It arrives tomorrow.
I really appreciate you using an angled instrument cable going into the guitar. I'd be so bothered by it the whole time if it was a straight cable being forcefully bent against the couch haha
In case anyone is wondering if this amp can do modern metal, yes it can, and really well. Just throw an SD-1 in front to tighten up the bottom end and it's amazing. In videos like this you can hear a little fizziness but in a mix the drums cover that and you just get a massive grinding tone. Best amp I've ever played.
This is seriously the best channel on RUclips. Anyone who covers year of the rabbit is worth his weight in gold. If you weren’t so far away I would totally work on music with you!
"Sometimes I wanna throw it all awaaaay". Awesome, dude! You can play a lot of different styles/songs and they always sound faithful to the original. Good stuff!
Bro was that superman by goldfinger on the tele?? You played that an my mind took me back to 1999 and how I used to play tony hawk proskater 1 with friends that aren't in my life anymore 😢
My favorite amp in the world! Mine is purple as well, gorgeous color. It has arguably the best crunch channel in the world as well as a legendary overdrive channel. Awesome amp.
I hadn't heard that Madonna song in ages, I remember it was on the Austin Powers Soundtrack! Used to watch music videos late at night in High school and this was a classic.
Terrific as always Zach :) Thanks for sharing these tones with the Soldano SLO-30 amp.. these last days its all about the release of the pedal.. but the amp it self will always be the amp ! Keep the fantastic work with your AWESOME channel. Big Hug my friend! Nuno
Great demo of this bad little unit. Probably the most under-rated 30w amp out there. It has the structure of a higher wattage amp and doesn't have "that EL84 sound/feel" since it uses big boy tubes. My 50w SLO that Bruce at Brit-Tone) built is hands down my favorite stage amp. It hits with the punch and clarity of his 100w SLO's since he uses the 100w transformers but has a sweetness to the sound, especially on the crunch channel, that none of his 100w SLO's had. I probably use the crunch channel as much, if not more than the drive channel.
Big tubes make such a difference.. I'm disappointed with my jj junior... Poor bass response and just lacks balls compared to my engl fireball 60 or Marshall jvm. What's your go to amp at the moment?
@@asianaxeman I went back to Fractal. I’ve got a Jackson golden boy going into an FM9 that goes to an FRFR behind me and also to the house and our in ears. Sounds great, super easy setup and consistent sound every show. I was using a Friedman runt with the Waza tube amp expander and that was great but I wanted a simpler setup and honestly, the FM9 gets just as good of tone as my amps into the Waza. I still have my jubilee, nitro and 50w SLO but I sold the Runt to pay for the FM3. It was an awesome amp, I just couldn’t justify having it around.
Crunch channel has somewhat Vox-y chime! What a versatile amp it is... I know it's a long shot but I would love to see the chime comparison between this and Vox AC30..
The Bogner Helios 100w, Metaltronix m-2000, Bogner Ecstasy 101b, and the RedSeven Duality 100 are all monster amps to consider. The Diezel Hagen and Bogner Goldfinger 45 are also highly underrated amps
I'm surprised you play Green Tinted Sixties Mind there. Since Mr Big is more popular in Asia than western country. Anyway, I always like listening to your channel. The way you dial your amp is always sound pleasing to my ear. Oh..and that Silverburst is still as pretty as ever.
Dude you make everything sound awesome I love your channel. This was the best showing or demo I’ve ever seen of this amp!Im speechless lol if I could afford an amp like that this video would have been the reason I would purchase this amp🤟🏻
Hmm, somehow you get those Celestion Creamback 75s to sound good with most of your amps! I always preferred the Creamback 65M speakers, but you sure do make these sound good.
Not many people cover “Beatin Around The Bush”-that was cool.. Great demo man!!! It’s good to see someone who isn’t pushing The Self Promo aspect in a Vid these days!!! Keep it up✊🏼☮️
I'm so happy you're still playing the RF falcon!!! It's on my wish list to get this year and I keep watching your videos to remind me of how sweet it sounds. That amp is sweet and your playing... excellent!!! Love these videos brother!!!
Sounds amazing with creambacks, don’t know why all of the new slo cabs are loaded with v30’s, I’m not a huge fan of v30’s for some reason they seem a bit harsh
Absolutely Love your channel, insight and of course, your playing!! I own the EVH 50 watt Stealth as well as a 1987 X Handwired. Recently, a SLO 30 has become available at the local Big Box Guitar Store. I played it for 2-3 minutes and see what the fuss is about… but is it THAT much different from my current children?? Much Love👊🏾
Wonderful playing and tone as always. You ever considered creating impulse responses of of your cab+mic setup. I know I'd be willing to pay for them and I'm sure there would be others too
Sounds awesome! I just wish they had made it a two or three button footswitch to switch from clean, crunch, and overdrive and maybe have a solo boost button. Still not sure if I like this or the Badlander sound more.
Check out the Soldano SLO-30 here: www.zzounds.com/a--3978724/item--SOLSLO30?siid=281279
I am amazed at how you made that Les Paul Custom sound like de Warren Martini's Charvel
This guy understands to the depths of his soul what sounds good. Bravo my good man. The Lord blessed you.
This is the greatest amp I’ve ever heard in my entire life. Holy cow. Gonna have to convince the wife I need it.
Remember, you traded for it! LOL
Just tell her sweetly I'm gonna need a new amp.
@@vaughngallacher6454omg I almost shit my pants!
And 3 grand later she says "WHaaaaaaaaaaaaatt"
@user-bb7vc1qd4n Precisely. I told my wife I wanted to buy a new Gibson Les Paul Custom...she said "what are you waiting for then?" It arrives tomorrow.
That tone at 2:57 just hits the spot in all the best ways.
Somehow yours is probably the most fun to watch gear channel on youtube to me. Killer sounding amp and playing
Thanks man! That's awesome to hear.
+1
I just got this amp today and won't have time to really put it through its paces for a few days. Oh man, this video is killing me.
I love that you demo like your actually gigging it instead of just noodling. It shows the dynamics and the variety of tones it is capable of!
I really appreciate you using an angled instrument cable going into the guitar. I'd be so bothered by it the whole time if it was a straight cable being forcefully bent against the couch haha
That Gretsch into the crunch channel is where it's at!
That gretsch tone kills.
Oh good God, this is one gnarly amp. Perfect overdriven tone, tight low-end and no high-end harshness. Sensational playing Zach!
That b e e f y chug with the vision of silver burst LP Custom made me feel things.
After watching this video over and over, i finally caved in and pulled the trigger on a SLO 30 and HOLY MOLY THIS IS THE BEST AMP EVER
This is seriously the best channel on RUclips. Anyone who covers year of the rabbit is worth his weight in gold. If you weren’t so far away I would totally work on music with you!
99 ways to die!!! Oh my god yes!
FINALLY somebody properly shows what the clean-crunch is capable of! imo, it's by far the best part of the SLO.
Agreed! If this amp was only the crunch channel, I'd be happy with that. Thanks for checking out the video!
"Sometimes I wanna throw it all awaaaay". Awesome, dude! You can play a lot of different styles/songs and they always sound faithful to the original. Good stuff!
Swing of the axe!!!
Still the top Demo channel out here. At this point, every video is a subtle flex of your music taste.
The word underrated gets thrown around youtube like a mofo. But damn bro this channel is underrated
Killer amp…screams 80s metal…love the demos you do..best on RUclips…they don’t sound “over processed”, but natural
As usual, just insane tone and clean playing man!
Goldfinger - Superman *chefs kiss*
green-tinted 60s mind! awesome
I hadn't heard that Madonna song in ages, I remember it was on the Austin Powers Soundtrack! Used to watch music videos late at night in High school and this was a classic.
Beautiful stranger.
man, that was awesome!
Wow unreal tone! I might have to get me one of these bad boys! What a demo.
Thanks so much!
Power Trip... yeahhh with no surprise this Soldano Sounds great. Love the dynamic of crunch Channel. Amazing playing dude!!
"Straight Through The Heart?" I'm in! Great playing and tones!
surprised to hear some power trip, awesome
Sooo glad to see some powertrip riffs being utilized
Terrific as always Zach :) Thanks for sharing these tones with the Soldano SLO-30 amp.. these last days its all about the release of the pedal.. but the amp it self will always be the amp !

Thanks Nuno! ❤️
That silver burst tho… killer again man tones for days
I love to see what songs you’re gonna play to demo gear. It’s always interesting. Beautiful Stranger. Like I said. interesting,

Dude. You sound freaking sound amazing
Such a great demo and awesome playing. Both me and my buddy bought one the following week after listening. :)
That's awesome. Thanks so much for the kind words.
@@ZachWish Also, awesome taste in music. It matches mine. Haha. Jk. PG is a bad ass though and Green Tinted 60’s Mind is so melodic and great!
This is the best no bullshit YT channel out there. I only want to hear unaccompanied killer tube amps when I'm searching and this one gets it done.
Thanks for this, very helpful demonstrating all the different tones, very well played too!
Bravo! A+ demo!
Great video! This is my favorite amp, thanks for showing well also what the crunch channel can do.
Thanks so much! Definitely my favorite part of the amp.
Such great taste in songs and riffs. When you played executioners tax I had an accident in my pants
Absolutely gorgeous tones throughout.
Lots of different guitars, settings on that amp , riffs , different tunings , variety is a good thing. Nice , sweet as honey .... 😊
Never seen Lay It Down played like that. Cool gear and videos. DIO sounded great too.
That first chord you rang out I thought was going to turn into Rosetta Stoned. Ratt was great, too.
You gotta share a few impulse responses of your cab/mic combo!
All your videos sound great!
Straight through the heart Dio! Got me subbed! Oh, by the way I’m getting my Purple Soldano SLO 30 today!
Right on! Congrats on the amp and thanks for checking out the video.

Clayman, I haven’t thought about that in a long time. Sounds great, man!
Hah! Thanks man, been too long.

Noice Zach! Always great riffs and great tones 👍
Thanks so much Jeff!
Excellent Video and Great Playing. Thanks Love the sound of that amp!
Thanks so much for checking out the video! Definitely a great amp.
That Gretsch is killer. Rare to see them with a stoptail. Don’t why everyone wants the bigsby
Straight through the heart!

Nice Sound
Damn. I got the amp. Now I want the Gretch. Must resist.
Killer sound !!!!
Absolut great sounds and playin!
Sounds amazing with creambacks, don’t know why all of the new slo cabs are loaded with v30’s, I’m not a huge fan of v30’s for some reason they seem a bit harsh
I run my SLO-30 through an open back Avatar cab with a G12M-65 Creamback and a WGS ET-65 and it's working out well
I mostly come for metal tone but I always end up enjoying a gretsch in a crunch channel 🤣
Beautiful stranger, nice!
Beautiful playing. :)
Much Love👊🏾
Your playing and engineering always sounds like it is one of those old isolated tracks taken from the actual album
I did not expect to hear green tented sixties mind when I clicked on this. ....nor 99 ways to die. Great choices!! :)
That Ratt riff slays
What a nice video! Great playing and awesome guitars ;)
Thanks so much! Appreciate the kind words.
Great choice in opening lick! Great taste! 🤘
Jesus H Christ.... That Mr Big riff.
Wonderful playing and tone as always. You ever considered creating impulse responses of of your cab+mic setup. I know I'd be willing to pay for them and I'm sure there would be others too
Lost boys by The 69 Eyes 🥰. Cheers from Finland
Thanks so much for checking out the video!
I have the same grey couch.
This is the stuff of dreams.
Excelent production.
The Gretsch is the winner of this video
Sounds awesome! I just wish they had made it a two or three button footswitch to switch from clean, crunch, and overdrive and maybe have a solo boost button. Still not sure if I like this or the Badlander sound more.
Thumbs up for the Mr. Big ruff!
As always, amazing playing!! Your thoughts on this vs the Badlander? Different leagues?
Song at 8:49 ? Please very beautiful guitar playing. Also killer playing through out 🤟🤟
That's a tune called "Falling Down" by Muse. All riffs listed in the video description. Thanks!
