To answer the "what sight is this?" question, that's a reflector sight for aircraft, it's what's installed in cockpits for pilots to aim with. It also requires a power supply, which none of those guns have.

Cod used to be about expressing the horrors of war and the bravery of the average soldier, but now its about creating a fantasy of how Wars should have been according to the average twitter user.
It’s because we are so disconnected from war that no one understands it. I’m very scared for the next large war. I already know all of our generals are gonna go into it thinking like world war 2. And sadly a lot of our soldiers are gonna go in thinking it’s an adventure.

Having the campaign death quotes be from the in-game characters instead of real figures is the cringiest thing I think I've ever seen in a cod game. It's a perfect example of how the current devs have no idea what made the 2007-2012 releases so popular.
It never ceases to amaze me, that with the more graphically impressive CoD gets, the worse the game is in terms of gameplay and writing.
They should just make movies at this point

I would give it around 10 years before seeing this franchise die, everyone says the new COD is always way different to the last one and its improved but deep down they know there is but a mere background change. People are defending it but in all honestly this game would be much better of having one game every 5 years, that had larger updates added so that content became consistent while still generating enough money through seasonal passes.

In the other CoD games, when you die, you get to read great quotes from great people who actually existed. Here, you get quotes from the fictional characters to fuel the developers egos. As if they can compare to the likes of Eisenhower, San Tzu, Montgomery, Paton and so on.

I only bought it cause I enjoyed the WW2 setting of the COD WW, but that is full of hackers and barely anyone plays it, this feels cool, but I doubt I will spend more than few weeks in it lol

Honestly I wouldn't know either if I was a just casual cod fan from BO2 to now on, but since I'm here since ps2 era I knew it and honestly I was just not caring about it all. Sadly back in 2018 BFV, BO4 was a huge dissapointment of gaming industry by far but at least in the middle of it there was RDR2 and now there is GTA DE which also sucked.
