This is the first time I have seen the same Weigela that I have in our garden which was here when we moved in. The inside of the plant is just bare branches with leaves at the tips. I love the size and shape, but it doesn't look right. I could cut one of the old "trunks" away, but it is between a fence and a mass of salal plants, so in total shade. I'm concerned that I would have no new growth down there in the dark. Will it push out new growth regardless, do you think?
Thank you. This is just what I needed!
Thank you for the description in which branches to prune. This was very helpful! :)
