It's always nice to see someone playing the full length of the arpeggio thing at 1:02, it's so uncomfortable that even Marty had to move the second note from the D to the E fret while playing it live.
I thought he played the E also on the record… i.e. he moves from basic Bm to G and then to E to F# and ends in A (without doing “E7” as an arpeggio i.e. without using the D even on the record) And I thought it was just the entire internet who played the E7 arpeggio to add to the flavor of the solo…
Excellent work! That second-last phrase that starts high on the neck, and descends into the final pentatonic and chromatic section, has always completely baffled me, and you nailed it.
There were some phrasings that caught me off-guard, but all in all I love how easy you made it look, yet how much practice AND humbleness shine through your playing.
You played it wrong. Your pick hand wrist is supposed to rest below the bridge and bent at a severe 90 degree angle to pick all strings. If you aren’t getting RSI while playing you aren’t doing Marty justice.
Holy hell Jaime. That was beautiful! Just incredible. Love that you went back into the rhythm riff after the solo. Not enough people do that and it's nice to see. Fantastic
Goals! Marty Friedman, such a class act. This is freaking awesome of course! I’ve been listening to his later stuff with Lost Symphony, Take Another Piece, just phenomenal. Love watching you play, one day I’ll play a Friedman solo!
It was such an impressive performance. The intense guitar riff and passionate solo perfectly reproduced the energy of the song, and the brilliant technique of the performer brought it to life. Thank you for this wonderful performance.
I was gonna judge Jamie for not doing it exactly like on the recording but then I remembered the wise words that Marty Friedman spoke about how u should always do and play things urself and in ur own way and that anybody who tries to do it exactly like anybody else is chasing a hobbiest’s goal with their guitar. I also refrained from speaking a negative comment because I fucking love Jamie and all the content he gives to us :) (P.S. I’ve been chasing a Hobbiest’s goal my entire life lmao 💀)
I want to say this sounds awesome. There are many people that have played this. Yet this still shows why Marty Friedman was awesome with this solo. Everyone that plays this has the technique but lacks the feeling and soul like Marty. I guess because he invented the solo and everyone else is just coping it. I just haven't heard anyone play this like Marty, he makes the guitar talk with this solo.
Wow great job. I said it many times to people and will say it again. The most important technique of lead guitar is a great screaming vibrato. If you dont have that down, even with blazing fast speeds you will not have any soul in your solos. You nailed the vibrato my friend.
Just a bit of advice to everyone....that bridge is so important when you are trying to nail this solo. Get the bridge right and you get the solo right. The bridge provides the adrenaline every time. Speaking from twenty years of playing the guitar on and off.
Great playing, obviously. But also, this is the first time I've ever heard the section in the end with just the bass and drums. And it rocks hard still!

Every guitar player knows that's not easy to play. That sounded great. Rust In Peace is Megadeth's best album IMO.

It really isn't that hard🤷♂️
Ppl always cheer and go wild at the section before but the real difficult lick is exactly that one 😂
@@RCKola281 you gonna drop your cover of it soon then yeah lol?
@@JRixG15 No, thanks. I'm not that interested
@@RCKola281 then dont bark lol.
Why do all we guitarists check that the volume fairy hasn't come and turned our volume knobs down all the time lol 0:48
This song, front to back, is one of the most fun songs to play. Especially Friedman era Megadeth has one tasty lick after another

Screams in carpal tunnel 😂😂
That is fuckin hilarious 😂🤣😭
Post your video playing it!
@@luminoxx5150 that's an excellent idea 😂😂🤣🤣
@@luminoxx5150I don’t want Marty’s tendinitis lol. My fretting hand arm hurts often enough lol. Don’t wanna lose my pick hand to the cause lol
Unreal

Holy Shit that is good man

Fino señores 🙌🏻👏🏻
Tsk tsk! That pull down bend a 0.52 is about a 1000th of a semitone flat. 🙂
Hey, just joshin' with yah. Stellar performance. Excellent stuff.
Amazing dude!!
After listening exclusivelly Yngwie Malmsteen discography for the last month, this was quite refreshing.
