the reason they never learn is probably because they always do that and works sometimes, most likely because the opponents are bad, not necessarely because their supports are actually doing something but they assume its this, so when they try again and fail its automatically the heals fault. i dont see any other reason
Reminds me when me and my cousin were in a group, I played Brig and constantly healing Junker Queen, who kept typing no one is healing her and we lost one DPS, so it was a 4v5. She only said “gg” to our Soldier 76 who put down his healing when we lost. Back then, I was more quiet, but I played enough comp to talk back and bring up the scoreboard and she is literally the one I been healing the most. Since then, me and my cousin have a joke when a tank frequently asking for heals, we would pretend to be Junker Queen and say her need healing voice lines, especially the “heal me” part with the accent.
as a brig otp on my BrigYeeta acct, Id suggest this person slow down their whipshots in order to raise their whipshot acc. also they arent playing in teamfights as much as thry should. its not much tho maybe like 15-20% more joining on the teamfight (assuming the mauga wasnt gone as long as my dad was getting milk)
Hearing emongg enjoys playing brig as well is awesome. Also in contrast to flats 😂. I do agree though, sometimes you are waiting to do stuff so just swinging the mace helps keep things moving along and prevents boredom.
Thank you! I have both benefited from and been the victim of a feeding tank. I like playing qp because of the mix of skill and it has greatly helped me when going to competitive (Current Gold I eyeing plat). But many times in qp I feel like I am picking a support just to keep my tank alive and if they are too skilled at feeding/dying, then get ready for the constant ult avalanche lol. While I do a good amount of damage, especially with BAP, I am usually a little more Heal oriented. So it gets kinda old when a take keeps going 5 on 1 never looking for cover, then keeps begging for heals (though can be fun if you get a well placed immortality field). se la vie.
Literally started dying cuz I accidentally hit the rewind button a couple times right at the opening, then did it some more cuz I made him sound like a doggo when I kept doing it. Just keep rewinding before he gets the "i"😂😂😂
It honestly seems like that Winston thinks his bubble makes him unkillable, he jumps in and throws it down like it's gonna save him every single time even when both supports are down
Its kind of funny that it can be such a "godsend" to see a tank wait behind cover to get heal before getting back in lol, i love working tanks who do that and dont just walk in like theyre immortal
oh man the thumbnail already XD im a brig main and so many people flame me even tho the game hasnt even started yet, just for choosing brig and keep on doing so even if i save them a thousand times and win the game with them
Honestly as long as the Brig is competent I am always happy to have one on my team.. I play tank mostly but knowing my other support will be safe from sombras and other divers is always good.. especially with how much I see sombra nowadays.
I've definitely noticed an influx of Mauga Tanks in my Diamond lobbies (Support) that clearly don't have the game-sense and have been hard-carried by Mauga and lucky matchmaking. They'll stand in the open and pop Cardiac Overdrive and just expect to 1v5 the entire team, but fail to notice anything not immediately at the end of their gun. I can take a bad tank, we're all just learning and improving, but a bad tank with an ego is something else.
Since the tank buffs my biggest issue is that my tanks now think they are invincible. Feeding their asses off and then point fingers when it goes awry.
Flailing as Brig helps with Sombra detection. But GODS the mount of tanks that blamed me as support for them running ahead to do a 1v5 is insane while the rest of our team is respawning
The don't do that part was funny. I've seen a few examples of that sort of unexplainable nonsense in quickplay and comp. Honestly, I couldn't figure why the teammates made some decisions as such only for us to lose. We would be holding a spot well and doing good for a few minutes and then maybe they get overconfident or whatever but they go and make bizarre plays and spread out the team and in turn, we lose. Its like something is working, why not stick with it? Instead of going off on unnecessary side adventures and other dumb stuff. 😒
You got a sub today good sir this was insighting i will learn to hit whipshot on brig i didn't know that how you proc inspire and i will try to play cover more as tank.
I also tend to spam the flail around, but honestly, I would advise to shield flick a bit as well, it can surprisingly do well like for example, it might be able to block Queen ult or prepare for a bash more
Brig is such a hard hero to play due to how simple she is if that makes sense😂I want to constantly be active in the fight but she is a reactive support. You can’t really be in the front line and while you can get inspire with whipshot it’s still a cool down. Especially with hypermobile tanks like Winston and Doomfist, it’s a PAIN
I had something similar, twice, last week. Same dude was diving and doing nothing, just dying and feeding. Starts crying that he's not getting healed. I told him to shut the hell up and just play. That infuriated him, he starts yapping slurs, hard r and hard f. Calling us supports useless and whatnot, even though I had more damage and kills than him. Died the least from everyone in that match and I had the most heals as well. A teammate told him to apologize to me for all that crying, but the fool just left. He was the most annoying player I've ever ran into, nothing but a crybaby.
Also @Winston - know your sight lines - if you're escaping a combat run TOWARDS your support. if you want to hide behind cover - make sure you aren't blocking the view of your heals in the process....
initially, the true problem might've been that nobody was pushing with mauga, the strongest tank, despite the necessary teammates not dying but now, it is gorilla dive
I have never played tank but did, last night, to practice and get a feel for it. That tank played exactly like me. I apologized beforehand and was freaking out and just shooting. I got POTG, as Ramattra, but that's because the DPS and healers were doing all the work. I, also, kept hitting "shift" to slide out but was on Mauga and kept going forward. 😂😂😂😂 So, it's funny to see because that was, definitely, me.
This is how a lot of tanks in Plat and below seem to play for me. They dive in and just assume they can literally tank the damage in a 1v3 fight or something. They literally seem to assume that the DPS passive does not apply to them. Even when purple they just dive into the enemy team and die damn near instantly and blame supports
The Mauga definitely had some positioning problems but to be fair, characters like Mauga and Doomfist needs to be played aggressively up close if they want to do some serious damage and it's not easy for them to retreat back in time to the team so the DPS has to also jump in the fight when they do. If i were to guess, the team was probably not communicating with eachother well enough.
Too passive on that 3rd point. That DVA was out of position multiple times a few feet in front of you. At least wack her a few times to build up your ult charge before she gets out
I had a Tank in one of my games telling me to heal them but each time I do they ran on ahead on low HP after both DPS and the other support telling them to come back for heals and to push together. I was playing as Mercy [I'm a Moira main so I wanna play better as Mercy] but I am so Thankful to the Hanzo for saving my life so many times in the game to that Hanzo ILY
20:14 she shields but keeps moving, how tf are they supposed to predict wtf she's gonna go??? Do you know how many times I trusted Reins just to jave them walk off or drop the shield to firestrike the nuke?
I mean Mauga was bad, but the Brig also did almost nothing for 30 minutes except swing at the air. The Kiri was throwing her Zuzu on cooldown so whenever Mauga was purple he was done for.
Recently got back into OW (last played season 4 lol) and tanks feel super beefy now. Got placed into plat after doing placements just because people are either doing what this tank is doing and feeding or the opposite and never going in to take space. Just knowing when to engage and how to disengage to get healed back up will go so far for a tank it seems, because my mechanics are certainly not that great lol
Yeah that clip is 100% showing that it's the tank fault I charge in as mauga alot but never on the stupidity that he did cause I got good teammates to tell me when I need to pull back good communication with your team when you tank is a must plus it keeps your team alive most of the time and fun fact before I started doing this on overwatch I learn this simple fact playing final fantasy 14 a mmo cause like I said having good communication with your tank is a must on keeping your team alive
Being a GM/T500 player I almost never watch these because I lose my mind every time with how people are playing and they usually go "MY TEAM SUCKS". 3 things to work on to get you climbing INSTANTLY: 1.) Watch killfeed. If you're down a player, either die quickly or get out (Obviously depending on ults and clutch factor). So many times people push in/use ults and go "WHERE'S MY TEAM". Bro, your team died 5 years ago. Now you wasted an ult, and your team is going to have to wait for YOU to respawn. 2.) Learn multiple heros to adapt to your team's needs and enemy team's comp. Swallow your pride and swap. Stop going "WELL THEY SHOULD SWAP". You'll have OTPs and people throwing your game 30% of the time. It happens. 3.) Work on your mechanics. Aim trainer or even some workshop codes. For Sigma, I used to use J7CX7 ALL the time to work on my reaction time. Helped out SO MUCH.
85-90% of my tanks play like this; like their W is stuck and their monitor is turned off. They never play behind cover and when they are low, they charge at the enemy. If I didn't know any better, they're bots.
This is frustrating to see. At times like this, I feel like having a pocket Lifeweaver would come in handy. Pull Winston/Mauga back whenever they wanna try to 1 v 5 and put him in timeout. 😂
Teammate tank was a orisa and rather than pressuring then backing off to hold our ground, they were practically either hiding to do random flanks on the enemy healers just to die or just sitting there in the open and not moving an inch until they were near death. It got to the point our mercy pocketed me(brig) as I killed rein, nearly killed Ashe till she used her shotgun to fly away, and omce the enemy team backed up to regroup i then typed: There, i did it myself orisa. Then the echo and reaper(some random guy and girl, found out they were a couple later) started shit talking me when i dealt more dmg, higher mit than our tank, and even kept them alive with the help of mercy. How tf is the team coordination so bad that you have the supports in the frontline doing the work while the dps just sit in the back?
Even with Ana, the enemy DVa would just eat all heals/nades and Mauga would still die cause he kept going in while being purple. Also, how on earth did two people die to bomb when Brig shielded it?
The tank was FEEDING and a baby about it but the brig should have switched imo. The healing wasn't enough for the amount of damage unfortunately and the brig seems to not be doing much in team fights. Its okay to adapt and switch, Ana would've been great too.
@@thomaswestendorf9213 True but the tank did swap a few times so might as well swap too instead of staying brig the whole time and having the same exact result/outcome? I’m not defending the tank by any means but the brig could have been more proactive and taken initiative. Just my opinion.
Sometimes supports really don't heal though... and everyone blames the tank anyway. I had a game like this, watched the replay to find out that my Moira was healing a full health soldier and Ana was positioned in a way where it was impossible for me to take space without cutting off los. So it looked like I was feeding but I would literally get 0 heals. This is why tank is blamed for everything. They're in the front line, everybody sees them die. But they don't see what the supports are doing in the back line.
4:42 why did the monkey leap TOWARDS certain death???!!!! I get poor positioning and decision making, but that was 100% just suicidal.
The main reason is people don't understand roles. The tank is suppose to take the damage for the team so your damages can get the kills. Not the tank.
Hearing emongg enjoys playing brig as well is awesome. Also in contrast to flats 😂. I do agree though, sometimes you are waiting to do stuff so just swinging the mace helps keep things moving along and prevents boredom.
After watching a different spectate video, my brain only registers Emongg screaming about bubble usage.
imagine what he was doing pre-mauga
Playing Hog and wondering why he logged in to the "you've been avoided by a high number of players" message
Mauga Mains who realize they can’t just *HAHA!!!* and win every fight as easily anymore
8:49 That Hanzo really loved ulting from that exact spot though. That's like the 3rd or 4th one there alone
Corners are the best teammates. Always reliable, infinite ability usage, never out of position.
Just keep rewinding before he gets the "i"😂😂😂
2:56
the mauga: "HAHAAA"
*mf sprints across brigs pov*
I remember a game like this were our tank flammed us the supports....then both dps were like "no, your the one trying to 1v5, idiot" and i was like :D
bubble, jump in, take damage, _jump_ _in_ _further?_ Goddamn.
T: "where's my f heals?!
S: "You're feeding"
T: "That's all, im throwing"
😦
It honestly seems like that Winston thinks his bubble makes him unkillable, he jumps in and throws it down like it's gonna save him every single time even when both supports are down
Its kind of funny that it can be such a "godsend" to see a tank wait behind cover to get heal before getting back in lol, i love working tanks who do that and dont just walk in like theyre immortal
oh man the thumbnail already XD im a brig main and so many people flame me even tho the game hasnt even started yet, just for choosing brig and keep on doing so even if i save them a thousand times and win the game with them
Same. Brig mains ftw! 😂❤
Honestly as long as the Brig is competent I am always happy to have one on my team.. I play tank mostly but knowing my other support will be safe from sombras and other divers is always good.. especially with how much I see sombra nowadays.
Same as a fellow brig main. 😂❤
Agreed I respected brig players last week when my brig had more healing n dmg than 2 of my teammates😅 (I was the tank)
@@DiaNuclear yea a brig played right can be a treat like a lil paladin, most people that hate on brig have never even played her
I've definitely noticed an influx of Mauga Tanks in my Diamond lobbies (Support) that clearly don't have the game-sense and have been hard-carried by Mauga and lucky matchmaking.
But GODS the mount of tanks that blamed me as support for them running ahead to do a 1v5 is insane while the rest of our team is respawning
the fact she was forced to rally to become a second rank just to defend the tank at times should say everything about this match
Honestly I would suggest everyone to try and understand all roles more. Makes this game 10000% easier.
You got a sub today good sir this was insighting i will learn to hit whipshot on brig i didn't know that how you proc inspire and i will try to play cover more as tank.
I paused the video less than a second after it started so it just sounded like emongg was a pirate.
ALRIGHT SO!
That guy needed to fight with his team, THEN he would get the heals he ALWAYS wanted
I knew I wasn't going crazy. How much lone wolf energy does this tank have?
I also tend to spam the flail around, but honestly, I would advise to shield flick a bit as well, it can surprisingly do well like for example, it might be able to block Queen ult or prepare for a bash more
It's always the Maugas or doomfists
Brig is such a hard hero to play due to how simple she is if that makes sense😂I want to constantly be active in the fight but she is a reactive support. You can’t really be in the front line and while you can get inspire with whipshot it’s still a cool down. Especially with hypermobile tanks like Winston and Doomfist, it’s a PAIN
love that the enemy name is STANTWICE they have taste
I had something similar, twice, last week. Same dude was diving and doing nothing, just dying and feeding. Starts crying that he's not getting healed. I told him to shut the hell up and just play. That infuriated him, he starts yapping slurs, hard r and hard f. Calling us supports useless and whatnot, even though I had more damage and kills than him. Died the least from everyone in that match and I had the most heals as well. A teammate told him to apologize to me for all that crying, but the fool just left.
He was the most annoying player I've ever ran into, nothing but a crybaby.
Also @Winston - know your sight lines - if you're escaping a combat run TOWARDS your support. if you want to hide behind cover - make sure you aren't blocking the view of your heals in the process....
initially, the true problem might've been that nobody was pushing with mauga, the strongest tank, despite the necessary teammates not dying
but now, it is gorilla dive
I don’t think a lot of people realize when they’re being healed by Brig’s Inspire since it’s not as obvious as Mercy’s or Zen’s.
This guy actually plays cover well. That alone should get you low plat! Good job broski!
All my tanks never back out of use cover, they just keep running towards the enemy team with no health.
Too passive on that 3rd point. That DVA was out of position multiple times a few feet in front of you. At least wack her a few times to build up your ult charge before she gets out
Yeah agreed. They play too passive at some points
No way I played with that Funky Pants guy on their team before in pubs same with my friend too he got in a few games with them as well
I had a Tank in one of my games telling me to heal them but each time I do they ran on ahead on low HP after both DPS and the other support telling them to come back for heals and to push together. I was playing as Mercy [I'm a Moira main so I wanna play better as Mercy] but I am so Thankful to the Hanzo for saving my life so many times in the game to that Hanzo ILY
I’m been hard stuck Silver on tank and seeing this gameplay makes me feel better
I don’t think that manga knows he has a lifesteal ability
20:14 she shields but keeps moving, how tf are they supposed to predict wtf she's gonna go??? Do you know how many times I trusted Reins just to jave them walk off or drop the shield to firestrike the nuke?
I mean Mauga was bad, but the Brig also did almost nothing for 30 minutes except swing at the air. The Kiri was throwing her Zuzu on cooldown so whenever Mauga was purple he was done for.
Hey emongg, does brigs inspire only work if they are in your los?
There's an area around Brig, similar to Lucio.
Ngl I have a lotttt to learn but I also get tanks like this every game….. I can’t get back to plat T-T
Being a GM/T500 player I almost never watch these because I lose my mind every time with how people are playing and they usually go "MY TEAM SUCKS".
3 things to work on to get you climbing INSTANTLY:
1.) Watch killfeed.
Sometimes I wonder how OW2's ranked system works. He's spectated bronzes that played tank better than that Mauga
Why is that tank so far from both the healers and the cart?!?!
I love playing brig, I try to keep my whipshot accuracy above 50%, it's so satisfying hitting A whipshot, lol. Especially getting a good flick kill.
Its okay to adapt and switch, Ana would've been great too.
imagine playing mauga and losing
Or the Tank could've swapped heroes and/or stopped running in face first into the enemy team with no cover?
It was said multiple times that no matter who they played, they couldn't save them and with them having a Sombra, Ana was a debatable option.
@@thomaswestendorf9213 True but the tank did swap a few times so might as well swap too instead of staying brig the whole time and having the same exact result/outcome? I’m not defending the tank by any means but the brig could have been more proactive and taken initiative. Just my opinion.
@@georgegorvaniagerge7077 this patch yeah its easier to lose on mauga
Uses his movement CD to jump in into to middle of their team AWAY FROM THEIR SUPPORT WHILE AT LOW HEALTH after trying to 1v 1 a DVA, can't make this shit up. Title of video 100% Accurate just based off that 1 clip. Seriously, that's not just feeding that's prepping/cooking/serving a full course meal with dessert.
Most tanks I play with are like this... It's just frustrating trying to keep this suicide hulking goliath but... oh well
how do i send it gameplays for him to review??
This VOD procs inspire for sure
How do I submit a vod?
Am I the only one questioning where the dps were during third point?
