The ONE and ONLY ... Only Luciano Pavarotti. Never another Pavarotti again... He is gone forever... Love him and miss him so much. Very special man in many aspects that he had done in his life, charity and loving people... especially PEACE. We need him now. The whole world is about to crumbling down with nukes and PAVAROTTI is not here to tell them "you guys are nuts..."
Para mim a melhor versão de "Ah mes amis". Quando canta os dós de peito Pavarotti não separa as palavras para não quebrar o cantarolar lírico e isso fazia muita diferença!
Any tenor would dream of being able to sound like this singing this aria in the studio, but Luciano managed it many nights live, leaving all who heard it stunned. Yes, there's a little glitch on the 5th C, but half a second later he's flawless on the 6th and the rest of them as well. THAT'S the sign of a great singer, one who can make a correction on the fly like that.
Even later in his career you hear him do this so so well! He'll start a high note and it's less than ideal but then he'll fix it somehow! The man was a genius.
I love inhouse recordings like this cause you can hear the crowd's more silent reactions. There's a video of a live Che Gelida Manina with Mirella Freni and you can hear the crowd rustling as it goes on, after Luciano does what he does best you hear gasps and wows.
The whole opera from that same version in Atlanta was available a few months ago, now I can only find the "Ah mes amis". Any idea what happened to the full version ?
@@OperaMyWorld I know and that's amazing ! It's just that there used to be a recording of that whole opera with the same great sound quality of this Ah Mes Amis aria... I don't know if was another RUclips channel or you, or if you did a reupload of the whole thing but in a less good quality perhaps (there seems to be some kind of white noise in the whole opera version) ? Anyway, it's great to be able to listen to the whole thing, I was just wondering because I remember a better audio quality version of the whole thing 🙂
it's a shame their is not an audio recording of him in the opera, most if not all of the operas he performed on stage as available somewhere. a notable exception is Turandot, such a shame.
You are wrong. Fille with Luciano Pavarotti is available on DECCA with Sutherland as Marie. Turandot with Pavavrotti is available on DECCA. again with Sutherland(as Turandot!)
@@yoramchaiter3569 what we should have said is visual, I have the audio recordings of both, one of Pavarotti's best roles (Fille) sung many times at the Met and they never recorded it. The Turandot I also have a live recording of that again only in audio, he only sang a couple of performances of that one.
The Opera music industry kept the treasure he left for the rich and upper class. He went to all classes to share the beautiful music to all who have ears to enjoy it. That's why over TWO BILLIONS OF PEOPLE have been hearing about him and his music. This man is truly a legend and a greatest TENOR ever happened to the world. @@edwardcaulfield67 There might be something in the vaults of Sony. In 1997 they were supposed to record Turandot at the Met live. It is possible there exists a video that for some reasons Sony won't release. In 1997 Luciano sang a great high C in the duet part, There is a snippet on RUclips.

The audience's response on 06:06 to that high C that was so loud is everything!
They were gasping and giggling since it was so other worldly :)

@@absdyna Wait, do You have any recording from 1995 without the crack?
@@todoopera4996 No, unfortunately... I meant in general he was a very good technician...
Who didnt read music ♥️🌹
@@emitch9213 according the the man himself he could read music, but not orchestra scores.
This man was a gift from GOD.
Amazing his high C's sounds Really easy!
To accomplish such a feat is superhuman, and Pavarotti's incredible technique and gorgeous voice support that feat.
Età giusta e momento giusto fanno una interpretazione guida per i posteri !!!!!!!

all other Tenors attempts should be burnt.
Ma...era giovane...Kraus lo fecce fino ai 70 anni...
With all respect to Kraus his 1990s trys of the aria was in a full nasal voice screaming the High Cs!! Making him unlistenable!!
