No one wanted the lone survivor mission except for the seals, green berets and marine recon said no way, but seals said we can do it, and look what happened.
Did workups with the TEAMs... they trained across the street from us... say whatever you want, the TEAMs are some bad azz's. But, I would never make comparisons to other SOF or SF. The Teams are highly trained piratesjust who they are
One more time for the uninitiated. Delta recruits from everywhere. And primarily is a ground force. Seal Team 6 recruits only from the seal teams and is primarily maritime. ST6 trains together while Delta trains alone.
WRONG! SEALS is 1 community for Tier 1 and Tier 2. Like having a High School and College in 1 community for a product and the reason they don't recruit from other branches is because the other branches doesn't have a FLEET, only the Navy. You have to be a Combat Diver since day #1 in the Seal Community. Green Team for Devgru are graded on an individual basis not team. It's not a class like BUDS. You have been watching too much Jason Bourne.
No. Everybody starts at basic training. Both have long pipelines to get to Tier 1. No shorcuts to Seal Team 6. Both Tier 1 need military experienced and years in their Special Forces. Regular Seals and ST6 have different demands.
@@sandilemkhwanazi9144 No. You are confused. To be at Devgru just like Delta, you can’t come from the streets. Is not Boot Camp and Green Team and Devgru. You can’t compare Seal Tier 2 to Tier 1. Any comparison made between SOF units is just stupid, but it’s really really stupid to compare Tier 2 units with Tier 1 , what John said was 100% correct but when people (mostly civilians) compare The Unit with anyone else just doesn’t understand what a step up that is, there is a big reason you don’t hear or see anything about them. The Unit is playing a whole different ball game than any other
Delta is Tier 1 like Devgru and AF 24TH. Tier 1 is in a different ballgame. Seal community is composed of Tier 2 and Tier 1 but all 1 community. Comparing Delta to SEAL tier 2 is like comparing Delta to S.F. or Rangers. They don't know what they are talking about. Add that Delta is a different community than Rangers and S.F.
Lack of understanding of the Navy branch. Only Delta operators that has worked with Devgru, knows. If you don't, you won't know the full Seal community. Just like navigating in a Navy Ship. If you are not familiar, you won't know.
Dale comstock and shrek McPhee definitely know the difference between seals and devgru, but yet they refuse to say there is a difference and go along and still compare…
Of course there is a difference between Delta and regular SEAL teams. Delta is tier 1, regular SEAL teams are tier 2. SEAL team 6 is tier 1. As far as I know our military has only 2 tier 1 units, Delta Force and SEAL team 6. Those two I suppose could be compared.
He's not being specific thou run of the mill SEAL teams sure but DEVGRU average age is mid 30's with massive amounts of experience. Those guys are unshakable and border line crazies, you gotta be imo with the level of combat they have seen.

This has been an ongoing issue with the SEALs in general. Regardless of how good they are, how technically proficient they are, they are _young!_ Yes, the Army instituted the 18x program but that’s still a much smaller number than standard SF dudes. Most SF applicants are already E-5’s and are already at least 24-28, SEAL candidates are 19-21. In the military that’s HUGE age gap!
NO. SEAL Tier 2 is a balance ratio of young candidates, Officers and Sailors from the Fleet. No SEAL TEAM is made up entirely of 19 to 21. You have officers, seasoned Sailors and at the bottom young Seals who they call the "new guys" that they train them for years in the teams. It's the same as Rangers and SF. DELTA compares to ST6 (DEVGRU) Candidates are E-5 and above with years of military experience who are the top 20% of their community to be consider for Tier 1 training. You are spreading wrong information.

Had SF medic at Ft. Sam in 05 tell me the same shit. Said SF avg. age at the time was mid 30s. SEALS were young dudes, SF had more of a mature military skill set.
Not true. SF takes 20 year olds. SEALs TIER 2 is 18 years old the earliest. What gives you the mature military skill set is not age but making rank. I seen people in the military for years that can't make rank. You have to make E-5, E-6, E-7 in a window or you can't re-enlist in the Navy. So you have to mature quick or you will be replaced. That's how the Navy gets rids of people that coast in the military and are only there for a check and benefits and are ok staying in the same rank for years.
There is no 23 year old in DEVGRU. Why do people confuse SEAL tier 2 to Delta and ignore Tier 1 DEVGRU. Delta compares to DEVGRU. Both are tier 1 under JSOC. SEALS is 1 community, tier 1 and 2.. Like having a high school and college under 1 community. You can't be a tier 1 Seal without being a tier 2 Seal. No shortcuts. No path from other branches.

@ who is they? JSOC uses all Tier 1 at their disposal. There is no favorite @ JSOC since it’s a multiple branch Special Forces Command with the Army , Air Force and Navy Tier 1. The only concern they have is if the plan they make is successful. The Commander at JSOC takes turns between the different branches. The current one is an Admiral (Navy) the current deputy commander is Air Force General and the senior enlisted in the command is Army Command Sergeant Mayor. These are flag commanders and don’t play branch favorites. They use all forces at their disposal. My point is that saying Devgru is 2nd best to Delta is a myth by be operations they get at JSOC.

How’d you know what he meant? DEVGRU is made up of SEALs and commonly referred to as ‘SEALs’ as Delta Force is referred as ‘the unit’. (Older) Special Mission Units operators are not used to naming their (former) classified unit names. In this context (a Delta Force operator teaching very specialized MTTB parachuting) it’s most likely DEVGRU. In the timeframe McPhee served, only SMU’s were doing MTTB

No one wanted the lone survivor mission except for the seals, green berets and marine recon said no way, but seals said we can do it, and look what happened.
SAS 👑
DELTA and DEVGRU bread and butter is ASSAULT. Both have 4 Assault Squadrons each. None of the Squadrons are run by 1 person. There is no mission done by 1 person. You have been watching too much Jason Bourne.
seals join from civilian live delta joins from existing units and there fore have experience
No. Everybody starts at basic training. Both have long pipelines to get to Tier 1. No shorcuts to Seal Team 6. Both Tier 1 need military experienced and years in their Special Forces. Regular Seals and ST6 have different demands.
@@deathfire096 You missed his point
@@sandilemkhwanazi9144 No. You are confused. To be at Devgru just like Delta, you can’t come from the streets. Is not Boot Camp and Green Team and Devgru. You can’t compare Seal Tier 2 to Tier 1. Delta compares to Seal Team 6 in the selection process. There is no shortcut or straight path from boot camp.

Why is delta always compared to seals and not devgru…🤔
I think cause most people don’t understand the difference, they’re the 2 most “known” SF groups
@ devgru is well known
@@saullopez3073
Most folks don’t understand the Tier hierarchy.
Your looking good for an old man brother.!
Ranger Recon is Tier 1
@
You are correct. Thanks for letting me know.
The 24th STS and ISA are also Tier 1 and part of JSOC. But you're right in that Delta and SEAL Team 6 are the two primary Tier 1 combat units.
Yes, but thats a weird american thing.
In my country (spain) you cant acces to the selection any SF unit if you are not in active service.

You are spreading wrong information.
they'll never top Cag.

Wisdom Speaking. The Foolish prefer their Egos.
I’m curious how many cutaways he has.
The difference: Delta doesn't show up at the end and take all the credit.
and you know this how? You work at JSOC?
I didnt know he was from Chicago
Not really fair to compare a tier 2 unit (SEALs) to a tier 1 unit (Delta). There's no 23 year old Delta guys. Maturity matters.

SEALS are mostly glory hounds and drama queens. CAG selection is individual where as seals and green team are team oriented
NO. You are confusing BUDS and SQT to Green Team. You are graded or get kicked out of Green Team by individual basis. Seal Team 6 were chosen to kill OBL, not Delta. Let that sink in.
@@deathfire096 they say that only happened because the guy they had in charge of all special ops at the time was a admiral who you think a admiral from the navy is gona choose not a army tier 1 unit that’s for sure

ST6 is usually made up of older guys like Delta
I think he is, hes smart enough to know delta to regular seals is an apples and oranges comparison
@surfingtothestars not entirely true
How do you know what he’s talking about? You got superpowers to know his thoughts?
How’d you know what he meant? DEVGRU is made up of SEALs and commonly referred to as ‘SEALs’ as Delta Force is referred as ‘the unit’. (Older) Special Mission Units operators are not used to naming their (former) classified unit names. In this context (a Delta Force operator teaching very specialized MTTB parachuting) it’s most likely DEVGRU. In the timeframe McPhee served, only SMU’s were doing MTTB
Anyone else tired of McPhee? If anything this guy is revealing how he and his team committed war crimes. Maybe bragging about blowing people away with .50cals is his way of coping, but I’ve officially tuned out whenever I see he is on a podcast. Same thing with Jocko or Tim Kennedy.
