Talk about 'oversized', that LACoFD Dozer is friggin' huuuge! Way bigger then Cal Fire's. I'm glad you got a great video of it, not many videos of LAC's Dozers.
We use midsize D6’s, not the big D6R’s like Santa Barbara County uses. LA county and City both run D8’s with wide cabs and a swamper seat. Ventura Co didn’t quite have the money for that so they bought D7’s with the wide cabs also.
As I commented somewhere else on this video, they have the dozer tender take the lead. I would guess that they are defending the dozer transport that way. If someone makes some bonehead move there will be less damage having a 1 ton truck in a collision instead of that large tonnage dozer transport.
If there was ever a reason to pull over/get the hell out of the way that huge son of a bitch would be it. You think i want that thing behind me screw you buddy 🤣🤣🤣
Those trucks look so old/plain. I'm just spoiled, I live in Tulsa and they're replacing their fleet with brand new trucks. And the trucks look nice. I do understand however, that they do have a much, much, much larger fleet than Tulsa and it really wouldn't be possible to replace their fleet. Wasn't hating on them, just saying their trucks are boring. Thanks LACOFD!
Awesome video by the way. I was scanning West IC! Glad you were out there to get stuff. Where were you (cross roads) at the moment you caught the Dozer?

Great Catches!I especially like that Dozer Rig!
0:47 Engine 135 is called the “No Stress Express”.
Love those unitrol tones of the west coast! I want to bring those sirens here into whelen territory lol
Zach Novosad good luck
Awesome catches! 👍🏼 I love the BN44 rig.
tricky flying down city streets with that dozer... if some goofball civilian steps in that path, it's curtains
25mfd was thinking the same thing

@@code3socal83 Thanks! You got lucky!
Hey, is there a way of reaching out to you guys? I am travelling to LA next month and could do with some help please (British fire buff).
Wow! Amazing catches
Amazing catchin
Why was the Engine Company in the 1st clip going the opposite way?
Steve Hogard E135 took a medical call due to low amount of resources available.
@@code3socal83 10-4!
I thought maybe they'd seen how bad the fire was and were going the other way.
I expect LA to roll up with an M2 Abrams engineering vehicle next time lmao
I love your videos
Awsom catchs.
So, Google has been absolutely useless. I got a question, what's the difference with the LA county fire Department for a squad, a patrol, and an ESU?
bringin in DA HEAVY WEIGHTS the CATS
Why were they going 2 different directions at the beginning
Departments get multiple calls at one time or they got re assigned
PEOPLE GOT SMART AND THEY BOUGHT RAM WITH THE 6.7 L CUMMINS ENGINE! THAT MOTOR IS HARD TO BREAK! GOOD VID. IT SEEMS TO B WINDY ALOT.
Low bid.
Nice video!
nice catch
I don’t any steady burn reds on some of the rigs! Did Cali change laws?
dcentral there are steady burns, but my camera can’t pick them up.
Some cameras can't pick up steady burns due to shutter speed on the camera
Nice Video :)
I think la is the only city that has it own earth movers just for wild fires
Only city correct but call fire das I think 3 dozers
Max Hallman cal fire has then but wasn’t talking about cal fire talking about citys
@kel Most Fire Departments in California have their own Dozers, along with CalFire.
