The Steel Woods are the best thing to happen to country/folk music since Conway Twitty. Fight me.

I'm from Sweden, where most people are opposed to country for some reason. I've always loved it, though. And this is the one band that was able to convert all my loved ones to country-fans. Della Jane's Heart and Straw in the Wind are the songs we play on an everyday afternoon. And on weekends, we blast Compared to a Soul and Blind Lover.
Love this band!
I've converted some people to country with this too. Southern rock will do that to a person .
Some of the nicest folks in the business, I delivered equipment to a show they played in Houston one time. They had a cool old bus at the time.

Maybe the guy in this song is the guy who drove Della Jane over the edge, and he's telling Anna Lee this right before he goes back to tell Della Jane he was wrong... and we know what she does when she gets that news. This guy's minutes are numbered and he doesn't know it.
@@bretthorath3331 Yep, that's what's going on. In Della Jane's Heart, he says, "His blind siding words of his new love for Anna Lee." Then in this one, "Anna Lee, I told another that I loved her, I was wrong. Before we leave, once more I'll see her to tell her that by dawn we'll be gone."
Ok so here's my pitch. Anna lee has known this dude since they were babies. Mama's best friend's girl kinda thing. Della was the beauty but grounded,not leaving her world. Anna already knew his wild side and was down for whatever he wanted. I wanna hear her story on the next album.
