Great list! Thanks for breaking this down and sharing. I was lucky enough to have a kind friend share his bottle of the Glendronach Grandeur batch 9, and it was incredible. Best scotch I’ve tasted yet. Thanks again Rob! Cheers.
Here are a few of my all time Favorites: Bunnahabhain 37 (North Star bottling) Deanston 20 Sherry Cask CS Lagavulin 2017 Limited Distillary Release 55% (16 yo) Springbank 17 Madiera Cask Highland Park Freya (15 yo) Ardbeg Dark Cove Benriach Peated Port Wood Single Cask CS (12 yo)
Merry Christmas and happy holidays, thanks for sharing your experiences and opinion on whisky. One of the best presents we got from the ages! I’m having a Benromach 15 year old 😊
Great list! So fun remebering all of these in the past when watching! That mortlach imma def crack at my 40s birthday for sure! Just 7 years left haha.
can't wait for you to finally review that nice Hazelburn 15 in the back. I know you said you would eventually. The sooner the better :) Great vid once again, thanks Rob
Probably the best I've ever tasted was the talisker 43 xpedition oak. A close second would be the bunnahabhain 44 elixir directors cut. My goodness amazing drams. I must have I kept nosing the empty glass for another 20 mins each time. After that, the bowmore Aston martin 22 was stunning, tasted a lot older and one cannot forget the balblair 90, 2nd and 3rd releases. Wowser. Waiting to open the balblair 83, got very high hopes for that one too.
You lucky man. Something to look out for Callington Mill a Tasmanian whiskey ..QUINTESSENCE amazing ( sherry forward but tropical coconut notes very well balanced ) and there are other further up the lineup
Quite brave always to put up those lists, for people having now quite some experience like you & also kudos to you for making it way shorter than me (lol) & also to stick to your choices for some whiskies even if for other people they didn"t like those whiskies, it is your choice & that's what we're here for, to hear it...I haven't tried all the whiskies listed there but some, and I'm with you for those I tried (the HP 30 for instance, of that time) & also for the Glenfarclas FC range, because in my memory too, even if some quite old (the 1960 for example) were great, they often didn't had the magic & the balance of some being "just" 19 to 21 yo & yeah several casks from the 1990s they bottled were epic...Cheers & yeah, looking forward to your Top 50 some day..
You had me at all scotch 😋 (but I do enjoy many, many different spirits of course) Cheers Rob nice list! Hopefully I get to experience one of those someday lol til then I just poured a Laphroaig CS B15 to watch this with. Cheers 🥃
Great list! For me, the Bowmore 21 Aston Martin is #1. It is the greatest whisky I have ever had, and I'd say the greatest whisk you there, specially for the price. And though I'm not as hardcore as some, my palate is quite experienced at this point.
What a historical testament! Great list ! Curious if your 2019 SB 21 is 750ml or 700ml ? I have a 700 ml that I’m not connecting with in respect to yours. Curious if there is a UK batch variant (700ml). I actually had 2 but sold one because although decent,it didn’t wow me. Several months and half a bottle and still no wow factor for me. Cheers 🥃

Very nice. Merry Christmas
Nice list! An idea for your top 50: don’t list by number but by tiers. AAA tier, AA tier and A tier.
Good idea. It’s really difficult making a specific numbered list.
Great list! So fun remebering all of these in the past when watching!

Superb list 👍👍👍
Cheers
Awesome list! Perfect timing for the holidays. Which one are you buying me for Christmas?
Heh 😅

It’s on the list for sure. Cheers!
Great list!!
Nice list Rob. In my heart, I'm counting the 1987 as #1 because that Glenlivet was a total unicorn. Cheers and Go Leafs 🥃💪
Totally fair. Cheers buddy.
Watching this I was waiting to see where that 2019 Springbank 21 might end up at… it’s a bottle I still haven’t found yet, but I’ll keep looking!
Lol sorry you’ve hunted for so long.

That Balblair is great but fell a bit short for me.
Rob that's a great list buddy. Like you say it's all subjective and relevant to the time your tasting. Keep up the good work mate. 👍🥃
Thanks buddy. Cheers 🙏🏻
As always... well done Rob! I recently purchased the Highland Park 30 Year. Looking forward to opening it, but holding off.
Thanks buddy. You’ll love it. Enjoy!

Good stuff brotha! Keep it pimpin’ 🥃

@@WhiskyInThe6 You're welcome...hope to share a few drams together some day, you'll never know (as I have some family in Toronto 😉)

Enjoy brother
Great list! A lot of showstoppers on there. Question - have you tried the G&M Connoisseurs Choice Mortlach 1989? How does it stand up against the '87?
I haven’t. Wish I had but the bills are stacking up these days.
Wow all 10 are sherries whiskies! Great video mate
Ya. Brora 38 was very very close just didn’t have enough of it to crack the top 10 yet.
Tried the Glendroanch grandeur batch 9 at a bar in NYC this past weekend. Amazing stuff. Just wish it wasn’t 1200 dollars lol.

It is excellent no doubt
Great list rob👍 you should do a top 10 bourbon list of all time🔥
Cheers
Nice trip down memory lane.
Is Kavalan Virgin oak in your top 50?
Yes
Definitely great whiskies, but how about a list of whiskies we can actually find for sale here in Ontario. That would be epic!
Would be a terribly short list.
That springbank 10 you mention is 500£ a bottle now , I bought a standard springbank 10 last week for 50£ , how much different can they be ?
Extremely different but I wouldn’t pay 500 quid.
What a historical testament! Great list !

I think it was 700ml
Glad to have tried everything on that list hehe! Would add the Brora 38 yr (1978)
Ya the two Broras that I’ve tried are up there. Haven’t had enough of either.
My favorite is the Kilkerran 8 port and the first batch of Edradour natural cask bourbon
Nice. Really like the kilkerran 8 port as well.
Wow the Bowmore must be really good to be on this list and it's the most recent one you've reviewed!
I think it’s excellent
We have very different tastes.
It happens.
Love from Mumbai
A lot of sherry in that top 10 :-) Love that Springbank Burgundy also
It was a. Beauty. Ya clearly leaning toward sherry matured.
super surprised Balblair 1990 wasnt in top 10... and with how much you loved Jack Daniels Heritage....
Those are both in the top 50
nice list❤ Maybe u can just do an all time hall of frame 50 whiskies u've tried, in stead of ranking from the first to the 50th😊
Great idea. Cheers
1:25 "le - chaig" 😀
But you're a wizard.🗿
I wish
many of these bottles are from Alice's world
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Stop. Where’s the Springbank 28?
Just missed
Not sure there was a single descriptor in any of these. “Overall great taste” was pretty good, though.
Left the links for each review in the description
Octomore should have been on the list.
The 6.3 is in the top 50
This on not for the common man. Who can afford these whiskies?
This is a collection of things I’ve had over the last 15 years of really being into whisky. It’s not a bang for your buck list.
Dislike, no GTS 👎
It might be in the top 50. Not sure.
@@WhiskyInThe6 Jeremy knows what's up. It would def make his top 10
@@Claire_III I doubt it.
@@Claire_III top 10 bourbons sure :)
